  • Brian Laundrie was named a person of interest in the Gabby Petito case earlier this week. However, despite pleading with the family and their attorney, investigators had not heard from the Laundrie family at all until Friday night, when they told investigators their son had actually been missing since Tuesday.
    Officers and deputies spent the weekend searching the Carlton Reserve, a 25,000-acre park in Venice, but turned up nothing.

      I agree. They’ve helped him all along. The park story is probably BS. His parents took the car there and picked it up the next day. It’s not like he drove it there. As far as the note goes, he could have written it before he took off and he could have made up any story they wanted.
      There was absolutely nothing stopping him (last Tuesday) from getting on a plane and going wherever he likes. I’ll bet he isn’t anywhere near that park.

      Yep, parents sent the cops on a wild goose hunt while their son flees in opposite direction. They planted the car there. There is no evidence he's in that park other than from the parents. Pretty sure people running or hiding wouldn't go to their usual places.

      It's hard to believe with the holes in their statements and his story early on that anyone could be dumb enough to believe them, yet here we are with thousands upon thousands in tax payer dollars being wasted on believing people who have been shown to be un truthful from the beginning.
      If this was a movie you would turn it off for being too dumb.

    • @Jamie-zs2bl
      @Jamie-zs2bl 3 роки тому +9

      @Shocked It is sad, yes. As for noble, sure it is noble to help your child. But if it were my child, I'd get them an attorney and tell them to stay put, talk to police with atty, etc. Whether I thought they were guilty or innocent or whatever. I would never help my child run off and hide.
      Not saying that's what they're doing because we just don't know. Am I suspicious of them? Yes, but I don't know what is actually going on. In my opinion, at this point, the noble thing would be for the parents to cooperate with the police, even if they do it with their own lawyer. I know I would. I know that leading police to your child is incredibly hard. But I also know that if they are helping to hide him, that's not helping him at all, especially if he is innocent...it's harming him. Again, if they are doing that. We don't know. The whole situation is immensely sad though and I hope that there can be some kind of closure for Gabby's family.

There are groups on facebook where the smart ppl who want to be police literally coach each other on how to do poorly on the tests. Literally prospective officers who have been denied again and again, for scoring too high on the IQ tests, trying every time to score lower- but its not easy to fake an IQ test. This is why. The question is, why does the government want the least intelligent among us to police the rest? I think you know the answer. Meanwhile, innocent people and our families all suffer.

      They would have to KNOW that he committed a felony for that to be possible. You can’t arrest parents just because you THINK they knew.
      Also, had they knowledge of his alleged crime and wanted to help him avoid prosecution, they’d simply have told him NOT to come home from his trip in the first place. They’d have wired him money and just told him to ditch the van several hundred miles from where Gabby died, buy a plane ticket to Morroco (which has no extradition treaty) and they could have just visited him by flying to see him once a year. That scenario would’ve been much more effective at helping him avoid prosecution.
      Think McFly!

Also why did his parents wait several days before notifying police that he had left? And why in the world was he not shadowed by law enforcement from the very beginning? Isn't it standard practice to suspect the significant other when a potential crime has been committed? Literally prospective officers who have been denied again and again, for scoring too high on the IQ tests, trying every time to score lower- but its not easy to fake an IQ test. This is why. They're not legally required to keep tabs on someone who isn't even a suspect, and report his whereabouts to authorities. I mean the authorities didn't even have legal cause to keep an eye on him at that point. Legally they have done nothing wrong. Morally is altogether different.

It’s pretty clear they planned the car parked at the preserve with the note with Brian so he could get away or hide somewhere else. Knowing authorities will focus efforts on the preserve will allow him to slip through other areas more easily. In fact since parents waited several days tells me they got a signal or sign that he did get out of country safely or is in hiding in a secure location so they could then notify the authorities to begin their search.

What I said is the most sound advice you'll ever hear or read. You don't talk to police. It doesn't matter what he did. What matters is the evidence a jury hears. And what you'll never hear Is a prosecutor say well your honor he got a lawyer though. So he must be guilty. You'll never hear that in a courtroom.

    • @tabby73
      @tabby73 3 роки тому +3

      But to get out of the country he would have had to take his passport. I'm sure police checked if his passport is gone too. In which case they wouldn't bother searching in this reserve now. They would know if he left the US and would search in whatever country he went to.
      Unless of course he crossed the border illegally. If he did he needs help to survive.
      Police are very likely investigating all of this behind the scenes. Family or friends of the Laundries in other States and countries will be checked.
      They don't just search this park and otherwise twiddle their thumbs.
