Your honesty is so refreshing!!! I’m also a senior in nursing rn and throughout my clinical shifts I’ve experienced so many horrible instances of nursing talking crap🤭🤭 I was shocked by how mean some of the nurses and doctors are to other personnel

I am so sorry that you had this experience. Most people would think that nurses would be professional. Empathetic and humble. That could be one of them laying in the hospital. I would always work with the utmost professional and humility for any person I encounter.
You have such a bright personality and it's one of many reasons I subscribed to your channel. That said, hearing you speak so pationately about nursing warms my heart. My mom was very ill in 2014 and succumbed to her illness. Needless to say, it was nurses like you who truly helped her in the end. Thank you for ALL that you do. Im rewatching your vids Monet, and I relate to you so much. I am also a new ICU tech, And if i had the option to choose a career path like fashion and beauty, I would totally do it in a heartbeat. The medical field is not for the weak literally! It does take a toll on our mental and physical health. Im just glad to see you pursue your passion.

I'm just one of the Zawls binge watching your vlogs that I haven't seen before.
I'm Canadian and live in Canada 🇨🇦. My mom was a nurse here for 30 years. She had the proper heart and care to be a nurse and a nurse is what she wanted to be. She was an orthopedic nurse for the majority of her career. She has told me many wild stories about things she has experienced while working. So it was good to hear your experiences so far.
You don't need nursing attire anymore, but comfortable shoes with proper support really matters. My mom worked 12 hour shifts too and wearing improper footwear caused her a lot of pain. Then she upgraded to better footwear and that helped relieve the physical pain associated with working 12 hour shifts lifting and lugging patients.
I’m a PCT and in the pool. I’m soooo glad I did this before getting into nursing school especially being in the pool you get a lot of experience in all kinds of units. It’s so true that status matters.. first off some nurses really think we’re there just to do ALL their dirty work and don’t wanna help but then there are some nurses who are so helpful and appreciate us techs. And then you have the doctors who act like you’re not even there. Seriously too you gotta have a strong stomach cause some smells ooof 😂. It would be a lot more helpful if there were more techs on the floor! But overall it is rewarding, but that’s not to say that it isn’t hard because it is very hard & stressful at times.
