- Kingston upon Hull, usually abbreviated to Hull, is a port city and unitary authority in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It lies upon the River Hull at its confluence with the Humber Estuary, 25 miles (40 km) inland from the North Sea, 50 miles (80 km) east of Leeds, 34 miles (55 km) south-east of York and 54 miles (87 km) north-east of Sheffield. With a population of 259,778 (mid-2019 est.), Hull is the fourth-largest city in the Yorkshire and the Humber region.

Great video but why does the place look so deserted? Why are all the shops closed? Should I come to this city for my masters at University of Hull? I am doubtful. Please help.
I am also a visitor to Hull and don’t know much about this city. May be this video was taken in the late afternoon. Usually busy during the day time. In my opinion, you should not rely on the state of the shopping centre for your postgraduate degree. Thanks for watching.
@@mayancho21 Hahahaha. You’re right that I should not make a decision about my postgraduate degree on the basis of shopping centre’s state. I was worried about that because I’d be relying on part time work during studies. But now, I’ve talked with some people who live in Hull and they have said great things about the city! :)
It is a Sunday afternoon and not driving I the centre of town , lots of people shopping in the town centre, its just 4pm closing on Sundays x

@@anandus1844 Uni is great. City is also okay. Not so happening but it is alright. Keep in mind that there are many African students here. Not just some but many many African students. I feel as though it is an African university sometimes. Most of them are Nigerians. Part time work in Hull is mostly in restaurants. If you’re gonna come to Hull, try to secure a part time job quickly otherwise you will struggle. All the best.
