Was literally glued to your video here....here in Orlando, Fl the early 5 am hour.....the "Hope" segment is one of my favs so far. I am just an ole humble Grandpa type guy here....big ole soft side for little one's like "Hope". I use to raise pigmy goats...so much fun. I too did what you did, sat down on an upturned pail and played with the goats, and I believe they thought I was there "Ole McDonald" daddy lol. Those times as simple as they were, were some of my most memorable ones.....to relax and enjoy the fruits of my labor and have them return the love too.....especially so while the sun was rising . The chickens, goats, and few turkeys shared the same yard. I also played leap frog with my yard fencing...I would put another set of Posts up next over, and unhook my fencing and swing around to the new posts, cleverly moving the animals into it, and of coarse the feeders, waters and nesters. Even the roosting poles were a cinch. I just stuck them thru the strong hog wire fencing I used for strength and strong chicken wire over the lower half. Sticking the roosting poles thru the corners of the yard.....took all of 5 mins maybe.. I did devise a way to use these make shift trays I made to go just under the rooster for manure collection for compost and gardening. Like GOLD to my garden lol. So no wonder, with owning two huge tamed pigs....I was in Hog Heaven we could say ...about the ease of how I was able to play leap frog with the fencing in order to prepare the grounds for gardening. WOW...this was 30 - 40 yrs ago I was doing this. In central Florida VERY IMPORTANT to work the soil.....can't grow much in sandy soil. But my soil was almost like muck. I was born/raised on farm near Niagara Falls, N Y side. in the middle of MUCK LANDS....some of the richest soil in the country. I used no chemicals....I used my leaves and all of my neighbors bags of leaves....plus lawn additives and cow/rabbit/chicken/goat manure in the compost.....of coarse the pigs had their own pens....I played hopscotch with their yards as well.....their whole strip of yardage I used to plant all of my tomatoes and beans. I had so many tomatoes from each plant that we could not canned them fast enough and had to feed many to the animals, this would go on all summer. But the soil was unbelievable, and I planted marigolds at the ends of all of my rows and in various places....no bugs or rodents. I also made my own "bug / pest " natural sprays. Using garlic, grew HOT PEPPERS that I did not eat, only for the spray, used marigold scraps, hot sauce, baking soda, this and that all natural, blended it up fine and strained. Put in spray bottle...and that was ALL I DID here in Central Florida. NO PESTS did I have...HONEST. My proudest time was that I had CORN...............yes...I am not stretching the truth, photos to prove. I had corn in Central Florida, over 9 ft tall. Tall enough that traffic stopped or slowed down in our out in the country side homestead. I found out the reason, it was the corn that shocked them and could see it so well from the road. But I had alot of good luck and time gardening naturally and easily. No frills.....not alot of secrets....just patience....time and LOTS OF LOVE..and a HUGE THANKFUL Attitude for the BLESSINGS our family experienced. It was those times when God seemed so near. Ken PS: Keep up the GREAT videos.....I am enjoying them.
Our goats are very click-ish. I have a doe that we got last Summer, she has always been the 'outsider', she just had her first kids a few weeks ago & now she has her own 'herd' and is much happier. We saw her running, jumping, & playing for the first time this week. You may need to get Hope a friend similar in age or younger, for her to grow up with, otherwise she will likely always be alone. It would make it easier to integrate her into the herd that way, there is strength in numbers.
You guys have been buried in snow for six months!!! Praying God gives you springtime weather soon! Thanks to your inspiration, we planted veggie seeds in egg cartons indoors, and they are popping through the soil. Potatoes and onions are showing in the outside garden, too. We are attempting the Back to Eden method with wood chips. Haven't had a successful garden for three years, so we hope this year will be different. Love y'all! 🌸 Sharon in SC

Ur videos been post early for me in Florida and it help I have been under the weather so watching ur guys video give something to do and puts me in a good mood
We make "silage" for our dairy cattle. It's the same as your Chaf hay, but most people in our area don't feed their sheep it goats anything like that. I agree with Olivia. We are going to go right into summer. On Thursday it was 81. Friday it was rainy and 60. Today it's sunny and 50. What crazy weather. I'm ready to plant my garden!!! Come on Spring!
I like how you remember the story to each piece of wood. I was made fun of for remembering exactly that a tiny bit of plastic was part of a toy I assembled for my children. But when you are involved in something, you remember.
Pack up and move, North so that's what you would expect weatherwise, South to get out of it 😊 wait, you don't live in a tent, guess you're stuck. I recall winters that wanted me to pack and move south, they didn't want to go away, eventually they did, your attitude is amazing!!!!
2 things ... 1st......yay!!! Chafe hay (sp?) comes from Texas!!! it’s a Texas connection to baby Hope... 2nd I just watched a PBS on the EGG it was incredible how it is wonderful made
Hy...i am from Estonia, what is in north Europe and now i living in Netherlands...in both places in shops eggs are in normal shelves and in home i not putting eggs in fridge too and not washing them ...we buying eggs and milk from one homestead :)...i really hope if one day other coats getting friend with Hope...maybe then when baby coats are born :)...how long this annoying white stuff falling on ground there?:P
Asma211 i also from the Netherlands 🙂. Here we do not wash our eggs the keep better fresh without Washing them. When You wash eggs You destroy a layer that keeps bacteria out.
Oh no more snow ❄️ i agree with Livy that we’ll go straight to summer. It’s not snowed in Pennsylvania lately but it’s been chilly and gloomy. We had teaser sun but not enough. Hugs 🤗 and stay warm
Your daughter is so precious.. I love how shes so tiny with the huge head covering. lol And was that her singing in the background? God bless you guys.
I think Hope and Figaro should be friends. Hope and the Australian are at a similar age. They might be able to play together. I loved Willow, buttercup, and blossom and they turned out to be jealous bitches.
Robert Hudson , Goats don’t really care for dogs. Al tried to introduce her to poor Tanner and she head butted him. Figaro seems to like Hope but don’t know if she is friendly to him. I’m really disappointed at Willow more than the other two girls. Willow has been beating Hope in her head and sides and stomach.
When we had freshly-laid eggs at home when I was a kid we never washed them, my mother wiped them clean. I never realised that's why they tell you not to refrigerate eggs, though, so I certainly learned something today. Thanks! 🙂
It looked like Hope was ready to do a little head butting herself there for a little bit. I'm thinking too, that if you carried a little stick and give the other goats a firm whack on the head and a stern "NO".... they may back off a little. But, what do I know....I never had goats. :) Love your videos!
@nvyoder , I have never hit any of my animals with a stick or anything else. I want them to obey me . Not fear me. Animals that fear you are more likely to bite you or gore you depending upon what their weapon is .
Can't believe you've got more snow. We expect Spring snows here in Colorado, didn't know you'd still be getting it too. Hope is going to be just fine, she takes everything in stride. Been rejected from word go, she's risen above all of it. She will be your alpha one day. Although she's getting a bit too big to be squeezing in between the bars to the hay feeder. Can just picture you having to extract her one day soon. lol
Poor Hope the odds have been stacked against you since birth, maybe they can send help from Arizona Queen Luna and princess Stella to have your back LOL

More Hope videos please
Pack up and move, North so that's what you would expect weatherwise, South to get out of it 😊 wait, you don't live in a tent, guess you're stuck. I recall winters that wanted me to pack and move south, they didn't want to go away, eventually they did, your attitude is amazing!!!!
Lol Hope inside the feeder 😂
I feel so bad for Hope. The other goats are not nice to her. Regards from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Dinner looks lovely, enjoy.
thank you, I was wondering what chafe hay was, sad more snow, love the color of them eggs, God Bless you all, see you all next time.
Same in Colorado more snow it never stops. I've never seen so much. I'm expecting even more flooding. Spring is coming someday
I dont wash my eggs I leave them out on the counter til I use them My husband found me the cutest spiral thing to hold my eggs
Oh no more snow ❄️ i agree with Livy that we’ll go straight to summer. It’s not snowed in Pennsylvania lately but it’s been chilly and gloomy. We had teaser sun but not enough. Hugs 🤗 and stay warm
When I saw the icicle I wondered if it meant more frosty weather. Your spring is going to be gorgeous.
Also, I need a t shirt with Figaro on it, ASAP!!😃
Was enjoyable hearing Olivia singing in the background. She is really a delight.
Your daughter is so precious.. I love how shes so tiny with the huge head covering. lol And was that her singing in the background? God bless you guys.
Pls introduce hope to the dogs and if they get along, let her inside until the snow goes away 👍
I think Hope and Figaro should be friends. Hope and the Australian are at a similar age. They might be able to play together. I loved Willow, buttercup, and blossom and they turned out to be jealous bitches.
@@roberthudson6284 hope head butted Tanner and the dog has no interest in head butting nutcases !
farm animals inside,,,,, no
Robert Hudson , Goats don’t really care for dogs. Al tried to introduce her to poor Tanner and she head butted him. Figaro seems to like Hope but don’t know if she is friendly to him. I’m really disappointed at Willow more than the other two girls. Willow has been beating Hope in her head and sides and stomach.
@@audreyabdo7719 Pregnant women can act crazy too !
That was a very interesting egg bloom! I learned something new today, which is always awesome!
Blessings from NE Missouri!
Yes the egg thing was awesome thank y'all and thumbs up my friends
Feeling really sorry for little Hope. She needs full time company and not isolation. Goats are social creatures.
Carol White so do I .. poor baby..
When we had freshly-laid eggs at home when I was a kid we never washed them, my mother wiped them clean. I never realised that's why they tell you not to refrigerate eggs, though, so I certainly learned something today. Thanks! 🙂
Glad to see Hope is in good hands. We watched her since she was born. Subbed to your channel.
It looked like Hope was ready to do a little head butting herself there for a little bit. I'm thinking too, that if you carried a little stick and give the other goats a firm whack on the head and a stern "NO".... they may back off a little. But, what do I know....I never had goats. :) Love your videos!
That's what I was thinking. Knock them on the head with your knuckles. But don't do it on camera. You'll never hear the end of it.
@nvyoder ,
I have never hit any of my animals with a stick or anything else. I want them to obey me . Not fear me. Animals that fear you are more likely to bite you or gore you depending upon what their weapon is .
@@donaldmiller8629, Good point!
Can just picture you having to extract her one day soon. lol
Wow you are amazing it to great. I love your dish and I love your video homestead farmer 👨👩👧👸👕👓🐩🐕🐈🐏🎥👍👍👍
Poor Hope the odds have been stacked against you since birth, maybe they can send help from Arizona Queen Luna and princess Stella to have your back LOL
❄️🥶❄️🥶we awoke to six inches again this morning. Poor hope, you may have to build here her own pen and find another goat to be her buddy.
good day to you Al, Gina & Olivia !! thanks for sharing another awesome update and adventures on & off the homestead !! 👨🌾🎥👍✝
Thats awesome Al thanks for sharing that egg bloom.
Do I hear Oivia singing in the background?
I thought that too ^^
You're just having a lttle bit of longer lasting 'snow' from heavenly bucket...Don't worry be Happy 😊🐐🐅🐱🐕 🐣🌱
Y'all are gonna go from winter to summer. No spring. What was funny was, Livvie said the same thing as I was typing it. Haha, lol.
This *is* our spring. Warm to snowy and back again. Repeat for 2 months.
