I've been craving for that kind of gameplay since it's been a while since I last played DMC V.
However, it's been far longer since I last played an FF game that has the gameplay mechanics the series was known for -- an iteration of the the ATB mechanic, party strategizing/management in and out of combat, a band of characters accompanying you in a grand world.
Glad to see Kyrie return as well as Madam M.
Hahaha that Yuffie intro. dang square enix gonna go hard bringing these characters to life in this. Lets go

It's just a week Awaaaay
I finished the main story at around 132h, and I definitely took my time. Main story can be done under 40h. I'm now over 148h.
Overall, it's absurdly good. 11+/10.

One thing I will say is that, obviously just going off of videos and screenshots, I prefer the menus of Remake that's mostly blue over the greys and stuff here.

Having such a huge game world (in terms of activities plus scale, not just scale) along with a revered set of characters and a complex story, the fact that they got the pacing right is such a big deal....it's not an obvious metric to evaluate, but it's so hard to nail pacing! I cant' wait to start my Rebirth journey next week!!
Idk man, whenever I watch these early reviews with their early copies and I dont hear not one complaint, and gets a perfect 10/10 it makes me scratch my hear and wonder

I want to play this on release day, but I'm only halfway through Infinite Wealth and that too, is a 100 hour game. Crunch time I guess...

@@jinchuriki7022 I've done a vast majority of sidequests already, so I'm hoping that I'm not that far off from completing the main story plus remaining side quests. I'm not even trying to Platinum it. Just trying to maximize the content I experience without getting too obsessive.

I wonder if the variety/amount and depth of the mini-games available are SQEX testing the water to see if they could release FF spin-off like couch co-op party game Crash Bash, card game, auto-chess, etc in the future, I think some of such spin-offs may have potential esp on mobile platforms. Their PowerWash Simulator was well-received and earned them a lot more than everyone's expectations after all.
160hrs amount of content could last me months tbh lol Yay to 10/10 score, wow, my expectations and hype are high!

It's going to be PS5 exclusive until May, we may get some sort announcement of the PC release by then. I'm going to hold out for the PC versions obviously since I don't have a PS5 and rather play it on a superior format.
PC gets shit ports and what with the PS5 Pro coming soon, I will say that the PS5 version of Rebirth will stay the superior version.
Is this the first Noisy pixel 10/10? I thought I would skip this but I may give it a chance. I did not like the first game that much (gave up early into the game though), should I try?

We don't know what the final game will look likely exactly graphics wise, but the graphics in the demo were improved with an update and they said those graphical improvements to the demo will be applied to the full game.

They added an AFK kicker and are adding more servers every week. It's getting easier to get in games, or at least that's what my brother is telling me.
After playing the demo and seeing the reviews, it would seem the Final Fantasy series is finally back after 2 decades of being IMO not up to standard.
Looks better than 16, but that's a low bar to clear.
How do weapon abilities work? Are they tied to the new skill tree or do you still get unique abilities when finding new weapons
In the demo it had the standard exp guide for the weapons although you can't swap them out. So I believe they are tied to weapons like Remake. The Synergy Abilities seem to be tied to the new folio system though.

Wish they would talk like normal humans not like anime characters. With the realistic graphic it just feels so uncanny and weird. The grunting in remake put me always off.

Already confirmed that we will get 5 more parts
They confirmed in an interview a few months ago that there will be no DLC or expansions for Rebirth as they want to devote their full resources and attention to working on Part 3. Hopefully that means we'll only have to wait 2-3 years for Part 3 rather than 4 years like we had to wait for Rebirth because they were working on Final Fantasy 16 at the same time.

@@kidrobot. Square Enix is a huge company (a bit less than 5k employees). Their developpment studio is organized in four "creative business units". Each unit is in charge of a portfolio of games that they either developp internally and/or with the help of third party dev studios. Creative Business Unit 1 is the one in charge of FFRebirth and their portfolio is limited to FF and Kingdom Hearts related games.

@@BrandonHeat243 Not for Noisy Pixel, but I do reviews for other outlets in Spanish. I think this is a sentiment you will hear repeated in many reviews, the game is long, mainly thanks to its side activities. There are many side quests and side activities that are often quite developed, so if you go with the goal of experiencing everything, then the game easily clocks pass the 100-hour mark.
For some that will be a plus or a negative though, it depends on how much do you want to focus on the main narrative.
IGN said they played around 80 hours, So it was not that far away especially when you can grind in open world
@@BrandonHeat243 If you want the broad strokes, its ~50 for main story taking your time, ~100 at least to complete everything and certainly the more involved main and side stories, ~150 potentially for full completionism. Without Hard Mode run.

The title is fucking insulting to other JRPG . Calling other JRPG not a true and modern while alot of them experiment and bring alot of new thing to the table .
So many people complaining with ff 16 shouldent complain with this one. Has enough rpg mechanics and plenty to explore and see in the open worlds. Boss battles wont be as insanely epic as 16 most likely but gameplay here looks lot more enjoyable
I’m traumatized from the level of disappointment from that game that I don’t really trust these reviewers unless it’s skill up because the majority gave 16 the praise it did not deserve.

Remake was amazing ... the graphics and characters still leave me feeling amazed. As a old school gamer, this new take on the franchise is fantastic. Can't wait to play Rebirth!
Remake was great, imo not amazing. Graphics excellent, characters really nice. Story had great moments.... but as an OG of the original. I didn't like the ghosts/too much and early sephiroth reveal, final battle was a bit meh too. Midgar in OG FF7 was awesome, because it was building up tension to the open world, Clouds connection with shinra and Sephiroth. Remake kind of forced it down our throat. IMO

That doesn't mean anything. There's so many different style of JRPG done by different studios with different design goals in mind. At best it will be considered the best FF by Final Fantasy fans (which would already be an achievement in itself).

If you have saves from Remake, and Intergrade, you get the Leviathan and Ramuh Materia. That's it.

I hope this game has button remapping at least. Loved the first game, but going back and replaying it after having played multiple other games and it feels impossible to dodge with X or whatever it was set to.

I feel like I'm torturing myself, but I'm holding out playing this until the entire trilogy releases. So far I've resisted the temptation, but it is getting harder! Just hoping Rocket Man Kim or King Putin don't blow up the world before it is complete.
Same here. Stay strong. At the end of the day the game might be feature complete, but it isn’t story complete. It’s the middle of the story with no true ending.

Glad the game is geat, but I'm not forcing myself through the first one, the cringe is strong just watching some of this review. I'm very glad for those that enjoy this type of game though!

I gave Remake a 7/10. Wasnt a big fan of how small the world was, and the short story. Plus the dlc being ps5 exclusive. This feels like a massive improvement. Is every new game going to include the electric scooter like Yakuza Infinite😅 😅😅?
