HOT OIL 1/2 CUP
COCOA POWDER 3 TBS
HOT WATER 1/2 CUP
VANILLA ESSENCE 1 TSP
SUGAR 1/2 CUP
MAIDA/REFINED FLOUR/AP FLOUR 1 CUP
COFFEE POWDER 1TSP
BAKING SODA 1 TSP
BUTTER MILK (1/4 CUP MILK+ 1 TSP VINEGAR)
EGG 1
CHOCOLATE MELTED 2 TBS FOR DECORATION

If anyone is concerned :- As I didn't use egg, the batter was a gooyee mess. Means it was not in running consistency like the chef- but it still raised by double!

You kept that cake in fridge? as its a mud cake so will it become hard in fridge?

Hello, I tried this recipe and it was amazingly awesome, but I thought that the sugar in this recipe was too little cause it's only just half a cup and we are adding oil, coco powder, Vannila esscense, flour, coffee powder baking soda and butter milk which are all bitter so, I just melted 2 Cadbury 40 rupees chocolate bar and it was awesome and adding the coffee and butter milk just made it an amazing recipe, the cake was so soft and just amazing.

I had tried this. I use oven and follow recommended temperature 170° for 25 - 30 minutes but I stop at 25 minutes because its okay with the skewer already. I follow step by step the instructions and all the ingredients are nothing left but I don't know where's my mistake. The cake doesn't turn to be moist like yours.
