The one time i played on an acrylic tile court the ball skidded on every drive. It was terrible! Maybe your tiles are different? It would be good to see a skid test, or people actually playing on both surfaces for comparison.

Correct, the older generation tiles were 100% polypropylene plastic so had a very high skip. The pickleball generation has a rubber additive which increases the bounce. Good suggestion on the skip test, we’ll do that someday!

These tiles have to be installed on a perfectly flat concrete slab. I have tried to play on these tiles and unfortunately they do not give you a consistent bounce. Does not work for pickleball

I totally agree, there are a whole bunch of different types of tile surfaces that do not work well for pickleball, including a majority of Sport Court surfaces made pre pickleball boom. I'd be curious if you played on SportGame PB or an older or competitive surface?
And yes, very similarly to an acrylic surface, any small imperfection in the concrete slab will make an inconsistent pickleball bounce due to how light the pickleball is. Pickleball concrete tolerances are much narrower than tennis or basketball because you aren't using a compressed ball.

Why use a stick to measure the ball c bounce if you aren't using a fixed position to drop from. Way too inconsistent.

Very good point, we wrestled with how "scientific" we should make this video... we'll make that a key point when we re-make it.

There isn't such ball as the "Franklin DuraFast 40", nor "indoor Onix Fuse G2". What you have there is an Onix Fuse. ;-)

Yeah, good catch... We plan on remaking this and being a lot more precise! I went back to look and I was indeed using a Durafast 40... it's just made by Onix. Thanks for pointing these out!

"Which Pickleball surfaces is the safest?" I hope you are better at court surfaces than you are at elementary grammar!

Haha good catch. The good news is yes we are :) What we lack in youtube/ content production experience, I hope we can make up for in court building/ sport surfaces expertise.
