I appreciate the pros and cons type of approach to the video. Saying you don't like a shoe as much as others is something I haven't seen as much from the running warehouse team (for reasons I understand from a business perspective). Great job and very useful insight!
@@DTOWNRW16 I suffer excruciating pain caused by the stiffness of the plate on the metatarsals on one foot from 2 operations. I’m a front foot runner which clearly doesn’t help.
I love the evoride speed. It’s similar weight to the endorphin speed. I also don’t find the evoride speeds as a very fast shoe but I do enjoy them. To me they are a fun and more durable clifton.,
@@iosifkovalenko8364 I find shoes like that great for speed workouts. They aren’t fast like plated shoes but they are lighter and snappier than average daily trainers

Every shoe in this video would be a great option for speed sessions such as intervals. It will really come down to personal preference. For sub 5 mile pace, I would vote for Endorphin Speed. -Connor
I like that you put good daily trainers on here. But the video is for race day and speed workout shoes. All five of the shoes on this list are mediocre at best for speed and bad for races, especially the novablast 4. The novablast 4 should only be used for daily training along with the rest of the shoes on this list. If you want a shoe thats acctually good for speed workouts and race day. Get asics magic speed 3.
I just dont understand why Rebel 4 gets the hype. Anyways, i am surprised that in a speed focused list there is no Takumi Sen!! IMO there has been no shoe faster than takumi ever! I would say that if somebody runs only roads (not very wet roads) and if they can buy only one shoe, then there is no better shoe than ES 3 or 4. It is fast and cushioned at the same time
I’m surprised the new balance was in there. It’s very squishy. I weigh 230 pounds and I feel like I’m sinking in them. Not a lot of energy response. I like them for a slow long run tho.
Doesn't bouncy make the shoe unstable. I don't think you guys and the shoe companies really understand running. A class runner does not bounce. He plants his foot lightly and moves forward. Once a runner's foot is planted, he should not feel like he is stepping in mud by the giveaway of the foamy sole. And the giveaway of the sole makes the shoe unstable which will cause foot and knee problems. That is why there are so many runner's today who complain of foot and knee problems. It's the shoes. What company will let me help them design a better shoe? I'll do it for free.
I have been wondering about this… I’ve been looking and it seems every brand is now using super thick foam platforms. I’m not an orthopedist so I don’t know the consequences but it definitely doesn’t seem like these compliment natural running form. Granted, I tried the whole “barefoot”/minimalist running shoes for years and still developed back and knee issues. I wonder if they’re actually consulting with orthopedic doctors when designing these things or if it’s all just marketing teams and corporate focus rooms.

Absolutely loving my Rebel V4- speed days & longer, easy runs.
better than rebel v3?
@@io-rj6sk can't say, no experience with the v3
Can Rebel V4s be used for fast runs ?
@@Devildog81 y not?!
@@Devildog81 Sure, if I only had 1 pair of shoes right now, it would be the Rebel V4
I've used Novablast 1 - 2 - 3 for speed training.
For the price (especially when bought while on discount) is commendable.
Haven't tried 4 yet.
Just ordered the novablast 3 and can’t wait to try them out!
No Takumi Sen? I would've thought it would be the textbook example of a speedy workout shoe.
Great comparisons. Speed 4 is my marathon shoe now I’ve ditched carbon plates.
The Speed 4 is a great marathon pick, especially if you don't want to go the full carbon plate route! -Connor
can i ask why someone would want to ditch the carbon plate?

I have Novablast 4 and live in Hawaii. They get overheating for me because of the knit upper. 😢
They have the LE version now which is meant to be more breathable!

Let's just wait for your review again once Adidas Boston 13 and Puma Deviate Nitro 3 once it is available in the market,
Should have some news on a new Deviate in the coming months but we have no timeline yet on Boston 13. -Connor
Good morning. Excellent comparison. My vote goes to the saucony E. speed4. Like from Spain. A nice friday for everyone.
Great choice!! Year after year, you can't go wrong with the Endorphin Speed. -Connor
How does the Li-Ning Men FEIDIAN 4 CHALLENGER running shoe compare to Nike shoes in terms of performance?
The endorphin speed 4 is a great shoe but all of the color ways are so hideous
Which is lightest in weight
much love for the noosa 15... :)
A video for sprinters would be great, these crazy huge foam supports aren’t the best for intense sprints

How about the Topo Cyclone 2? Feather-light with a lovely PEBAX foam.
Which one has the coolest name? I need that.....Speed.
Appreciate the good feedback
i still think the boston 12 is way faster than speed 4
Agree !
Speed 3 and 4 is more for casual runners 😂😂😂
Boston 12 is the boss
Logged in almost 300 miles in mine still going strong
