Bit late to the party but just did it, this works 100% and took me around 40 min.the time consuming part is getting it to spawn but it will eventually. the boy doesn't have to raise his hand or anything and he can be in any position, just stand in front of the chest saving-opening-loadng-waiting 5 seconds-saving-opening and youll get it
so, i am playing izjs english patch v 0.22, and here is my dilemma,, i cant get the chest to spawn at all using this method. So I went for bonebreaker in cerobi steppe thinking it will be easier. I did the load/save state there but it always gives same amount of gil/item unless I do something in mean time like kill a mob or open some other chest. Could it be my rng does not reset with loading state or sth? HELP PLS :(
that may work, I don't plan on trying it any time soon. It depends on if a new random number is generated every time you enter or not or if the same random number is generated every time you quickload the save.

I quickloaded when attempting to spawn the chest to save time. Rather than having to run down the steps and back to the door to go in and out of the door to reset the spawn, I can just quickload and be right by the door instead.
took me 97 zone in to get the chest spawned but i couldnt get the bow . After many times do the 5s quickload , i gave up . When i left the airship , i realized that i didnt equip diamond armlet :)

[Nov 27,2013 12:53 pm] was able to do this in PCSX 1.00 and using FFXII IZJS with english patch (patch 22 i think). - 30 mins going back and forth on deck using hyper speed (L1) to spawn chest, and not using quick save and load - 30 mins at least to get the item by waiting after 5 seconds every attempt of quick save and load
i have FFXII IZJS english version and i found the invincible treasure box and its took me a lot of time, in fact i watse my 5hrs to get the seitengrat bow, im pcsx2 user too. i have a question do i need a patient to get that weapon and what is the drop rate of that? i equip the diamond bangle or whatever it is i already forgot. sorry about the wrong spell and grammar
Wonderfully done! I tried it that way too, but after two hours I gave up. If you use Cheat Engine, you need three values: 1. There is an address with the amount. 2055148C was it for me. (Depending on PCSX2 Version, it can differ.) If you don't change that, but everything else, Seitengrat will be there, but unequipable, because amount is zero. 2. The address with Seitengrat's number. It's B210 and you should put that number in the memory viewer, at the end of the weapon values, overwriting FFFF. And 3. The value with the number of different weapons you have. Given everybody has a different weapon and you sell off anything else, it would be six, for example. For me, the address was 205573BC. Increase that number by one, or else Seitengrat will not show up in your inventory. If anyone asks, I can put up a step-by-step explanation.

Uh, I dunno what to tell you really. Anybody can equip the Seitengrate, it's a license-less equip, similar to how the Sword of Kings and the Treaty-Blade works.
all you have to do is save state once you know the chest is there, than immediately try for the loot because every 6 seconds i believe the Chest loot changes. so what your suppose to do is save before first attempt if it does not have the loot you reload count about 5 seconds and save then loot again each time you loot you reload and recount to 5 or so, That way you can overlap the loots. rinse repeat process until the RNG and bow appears in the chest. To show you whats actually happening, lets say this is how the rng is - every 6 seconds the RNG changes which in turn changes the loot from 10gil/ knot of rust/ seitengrat. There is no way to know what will come next you just have to efficiently move along the rng and check each item 1 at a time until you actually recieve the bow. Its a slow and steady process, that will work 100% of the time if you do not miss any loot. if you count more than 6 seconds eventually you will miss a loot, thats why you should count a little less so its okay to see the same loot twice and you know for a fact than you will never miss a loot. Itll be slightly slower counting less and saving since you cover less RNG distance, but you wont miss the bow then. pretty simple bro goodluck

What I get from this video and my experiment is that Seingrat 'located' AFTER 10 gil BEFORE Knot of Rust and NOT vice versa.

The PS4 method with Trial Mode doesn't work...

In the PS2 you just need to hear the clicks when you cross the door. Something like clickclick...clicliclick

when getting the chest to appear, can't you quicksave on the other side of the door so you wont have to see 2 door opening animations?

did you save state right after quickloading? Or did you wait 5 seconds, quicksave, then wait another 5 before opening the chest?
Save, try, if fail, load, wait 5 sec, and repeat process

they are no french version of izjs, and in ff12 original / vanilla they is no seitengrat.
