MUST SEE! Extremely fast Metra express train flies at 79mph through Glenview!!!!

After hearing that METX #414 had been rebuilt and was back in service, I biked to Glenview to catch it. Unfortunately, 414 was not leading 2143 (two F40PH-3s were). However, this Metra express train was by far the most exhilarating catch of the day! This train was moving at approximately 79mph, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was even faster than that. Enjoy!

That was METX 109 (Village of Robbins) leading that train. I will say that is the fastest express I've ever seen for a Metra

I always enjoy coming back to this video and seeing how people are reacting to not only the train, but also my reaction to it. I don't railfan Metra all that much anymore, but one thing's for sure, I haven't seen them book it through Glenview like this since 2016! I miss the days when I would get this excited over something as simple as a fast Metra train. Oh well, all we have is the here and now. Cheers!

I’m used to 79mph speed down at Cali. I Railfan the Caltrain route and this is the typical normal speed the trains pass through here
