The face unlock sounds promising this year as well being more secure and being used to open apps. Hopefully it’ll work better in darker environments than the 7 series did. Then I’m very interested to see how battery life is this year. On the 7 last year when it launched I was getting like 4 and a half hours of sot. Hopefully this year is improved with the G3.

I do prefer the feeling of the curve on my Pixel 6 Pro, but I think a flat display is still a lot more practical... Curved display is amazing for gestures without a case, but absolutely sucks with a case, and it breaks a lot easier on corner drops than a flat display when run caseless.
I think you mean fortunately a flat screen. There was no benefit to the curves other than preventing the install of a tempered glass screen protector. This is a welcomed change for many Pixel fans.

Just ordered one from T-Mobile with a trade in (iphone 7 plus) that gave me $250, brought the price down, but with the case, screen protector and adapter, I still paid $989 total, only saved maybe on the taxes, since, the overall cost of the accessories ($90) and Taxes, ($90), so the trade in basically paid for that. I think it will be a great upgrade from my iphone SE (2016). I don't like large phone, but my older 12 mini was having battery issues, so I went back to the SE (2016) (the SE was a replacement from T-mobile with a new battery), but I have notice slow network, so I think it was time to get a NEW 5G phone.
Love the matte finish this year around. I read where a site was saying that the modem won't be as good (won't connect as well) as the on in the current Snapdragon 8. Is there a way to test that? I know I've had issues with the signal dropping on my Pixel 7 Pro.

I'm glad it has a flat display. The curved display has issues with touch targets near the edge being confused with the back gesture. And it's much more expensive if you ever break it.

The 6 Pro tops the 7 pro in battery, haptics, and audio\speaker quality to name a few. I'm hoping the 8 Pro will top them both in all those categories as it should in every category there is.
