- This episode begins in the Pakleni Islands where El retrieves our wayward tender seat, before we have a cracking sail for Vis in the furthest reaches of Dalmatia.
We visit the charming town of Komiza, a little haven for yachts that is little visited by tourists, and then sail on to the beautiful secluded Diamond Beach on the south east coast of Vis

The Adriatic is the northernmost arm of the Mediterranean Sea, extending from the Strait of Otranto (where it connects to the Ionian Sea) to the northwest and the Po Valley.

I was there in the seventies as a soldier in Yugoslav army , we were in artillery unit dug into the hills facing the shipping channel .

Hi Christian, sorry, it's been so long ago that it's hard to recall. But there's a number of great restaurants across the harbour from the pier!

It would be great if you can give indication of what things cost.. marinas? Also do you need to pay and how much for the little marinas and half day stops. Also do they charge for mooring buoys? Can you anchor most places to get away with lower costs? How much is diesel. I will be there next year doing exactly what you are doing with my Family.

The marinas are around 80 Euros a night, and mooring buoys around 40 Euros in Croatia. The ACI Marina website has a list of prices for each of their marinas. The challenge in Croatia, at least where we've sailed, is that the anchorages are deep so not suitable for anchoring. There's a few, but nowhere near as many as in Greece. For the few lunch stops, such as in Sibenik, the local allowed us three hours for free.
Diesel in Croatia is comparable with other places in Europe, around Eur 1.5 per litre.

Hi guys a couple more question. How do you get around the visa issue in Schengen. Only allowed the 90 days in 180? Or just don't worry about it? What happens when you get your passport stamped? Will they question it? Also what's mobile coverage like when coastal sailing?? You always get the best advice from the horses mouth. I have looked on noontesite but can't find much information. Thanks in advance.. Matt
We're still working thru the Schengen issue as we speak. It's different for us (we hope!) because Fil has dual Aussie & Polish (EU) citizenship. Mobile phone companies have been driving us nuts, selling us cards that don't work beyond the border, even when they insist they will, or sending us a message once over the border to advise of huge roaming charges which have been illegal in the EU since mid-year (see noonsite). When we get a spare 5 mins I'll report it to the EU - hope it will make the mobile companies pull their socks up and improve the situation for you & others! The actual coverage is good for coastal sailing. x El

you don't have to go near the beach to go swim. the beach is for people without a boat.Water is cleaner farther from shore.safer to swim 1/2 mile off shore,,no sharp rocks to step on.
I love your vids. My goodness your wife is so pretty those legs geez . I love all her outfits too. Can you guys show more of the inside of the boat also your wife's cooking. Some of those dishes she makes look pretty yummy
