sorry for the camera angle on some shots! The GoPro Quick app doesn't let me preview on my phone while recording with the Hero 10 for some reason, so I had to wing it.
I love, love, love, your setup and the organization of everything. I just left Xfinity as a Cable Technician for 20 years for a low voltage position. 20 years of knowledge and comfort ability of KNOWING to going into the unknown is a little scary… but watching these videos … I think I’m going to love it. I’m also a VETO GUY…. Super great quality… I appreciate the video bro
I worked like 4 months with somone decided to start my own company, did a couple small jobs, work with 2 other guys who have been doing it for many years when im not doing my own stuff still learning lots.
I do the same exact work and seemingly have the same version of OCD as you do. I’m getting ready to switch over to pack out, but my reasons are different as I run out of a pick up truck as well as do not use a camper top, but a rolling aluminum top similar to a storage facility rollup door. Love all the detail, but - but the camera work has to change because you are showing things that I can only see your floor on😮.. I was literally yelling at you because there were a few tools I was interested in seeing, but I digress😂 👍🏼
small tip for the next videos is to point the camera towards what your filming. this far 2.5 minutes in you only filming parts of what youer showing...
Work more on the coax and fiber but I have done alot of cat.6 systems. It’s fun to see how others in the industry kit out their vans. Just started using packout myself and must say I do like being able to bring only what I need and not a ton of other stuff. Its nice to be able to tell a colleague bring that box. And they find it at once. I see alot of cat.5e systems in the states and the UK but in Norway I we have switched to only cat.6 and cat.6a and or fiber. Must say working with cat cable or coax is more interesting than fiber. Might make a video on my setup one day. Do you have a link for those packout rails?
Hey bud, Could you share where you got the shelves and what the measurements are please? We are having a terrible time finding shelves to fit like yours do.
This van came with the shelving installed. I just flipped them upside down to install the metal cleats for the packouts. These are from my notes when I did the install: Total height 59 inches 42” wide x 14 (13.80) deep left side by door. Small side behind driver 30” wide. 42 wide behind passenger. Behind driver side shelves are 13 inches apart with 11 inches between top and second shelf. Behind passenger all shelves are 12 inches apart
So do you not do much network cableing? I'm surprised to only see one box that has crimpers and a device for doing Keystone Jacks and no real punch down tool. You might have one if I understood you correctly in your phone box. But I am also wondering why you don't carry those on you? Like why they are not part of your belt set or your backpack set?
Hi Jamie. We do so much network cabling that sometimes my arms feel like they are going to fall off lol :p. We only use single punch down tools for phone cabling and thats in the phone box. At 28:21 is my main network goto box. There is a second box behind it so if I'm with another tech, they can help also. The network jack crimper is in the center area of the packout box. It's the V-Max tool which is greatly preferred over punching jacks wire by wire with a regular punch down tool. So all in all there are two packouts with network jack punch down tools in them, but don't forget this is only my van, the other techs have their own that they carry in their vehicles.
I think we’re all asking this question. And/or what he used on the shelving to lock the packouts into place. That and why are his camera angles so bad lol.
I just wished my Home Depot carried Milwaukee packout. I already have to drive 40 minutes to a Home Depot and they don’t even carry their flagship Milwaukee shit. Disappointing really.
We are English speaking, so why do you pronounce Knipex Ka-nipex? English speaking pronounciation is nipex. If you are going to pronounce that particular brand how German speaking people do then Wera is Vera and Wiha is Veeha. Not forgetting the German car manufacturer VolksWagen which is pronounced FalksVargen in German.
Your gopro harness is extremely annoying! Talking about stuff out of frame. Can't watch anymore its driving me crazy. Kool stuff would love to actually see it
Your videos are very helpful to see how others organize and setup their tool. Well done.

Damn 20 years with Comcast…sorry to hear that

This is one of the cleanest and nicest setups for a truck I’ve seen. Good job 👍🏽

Really well organized set up. I love packout. Thanks for the tour!
13:45 "You dont have the key?" "I dont have time for this.. you hired me so I'm breaking in no matter what"
Can you link to the aluminum cleats you use as an alternative to the packout plates?
Love your 1:49 setup. I have custom fit plastic packout wall plates to fit inside the van shelves. working on videos to share.
an office tour would be awesome.
Coming soon...
Man I wish you had a part list and links you have a lot of good stuff need to get paid for showing your load out!
Nice set up bro , hopefully I get there one day
This was very good. Thanks for the video.
can you do a van build video on the accessories use to keep your tools and equipment organized on the van and on the field
I wish you success in your work
Dude - nice job on the van but the camera angles drove me to quit early. Good luck to you!
Wow, super organised!

How much room do you have in between the shelves ??
im just seeing feet, cool to see a better version of this video.

Only question is why the organizers by the side door are installed handle/lock in vs handle out for ease to grab from side
Been waiting for this!
This was awesome! Is the new layout finished / ready to be shown??

How did you attach the wall packouts to the wall?
How does that magna-pull work when pulling through steel stud?
What Company shelve did you use?
Where did you buy the cleats to mount the boxes on shelf’s? Thanks in advance
This is the place that makes them: etsy.me/3oBi1Yh
Is that a Leatherman watch band? And how did you mount your Apple Watch to it?
Yeah it's a Leatherman Tread LT. They make adapter kits for it to fit Apple, Samsung, etc. The kits are aftermarket and usually on Amazon or eBay.
What shelving system are you using?
I think we’re all asking this question. And/or what he used on the shelving to lock the packouts into place. That and why are his camera angles so bad lol.
I love my midroof promaster
What’s your beef with zip ties ? 🤔
I love zip-ties lol. Just not for network cable installs, velcro is much better.
