I'm replacing my torque converter. All the ones I found on Amazon have a plate that goes behind the whole assembly but I don't see that plate on this one or on mine? Did I get the wrong one? Is the plate not necessary?
Thanks for sharing this! Our cart makes a horrible clunking sound as it starts. I assumed it was from the other pulley. Will check this out and see if it makes a difference.
the belt keeps breakin on my trailmaster mid xrxr won't last 1 or 2 days. Bought it at Christmas. Might have 15 hrs on it and put 3 belts it. I just bought one from yall and it lasted about 6hrs before it shredded
First, make sure you're ordering the correct belt. There are many belts that look really similar but are slightly different in width and length. There are also different quality belts. Make sure you install the belt with the flat side towards the engine. Definitely make sure that you watch the video and service the torque converter as shown. If you're still having problems, please send us an email to info@gokartmasters.com, and we'll be glad to help you further. There could be something else going on with the drive system that's causing the belt problem. Feel free to send us pics or a video, and we will help you get the go kart in good running condition. Best of luck!
I have the exact same problem with the exact same model that I bought from them a year ago. I know it’s the correct belt because they have sent me the replacement belts because it was still under warranty. I even got my neighbor who is an auto mechanic to put it on and 2 days later it broke. Watched the video and it still broke.
Don't just replace the belt, get a whole new torque converter and get a USA made one from someone like Comet. They catch your belt better, better performance because the belt rides higher - the converter isn't beveled as steep, and the hubs have less play when they go in and out so it doesn't move around and basically saw your belt in half. I think this will solve all your problems. I just bought a trailmaster 300 and am already looking into replacement belts to keep with me on the trails, and apparently, the converters from China go through your belts quicker but cost less.

Can you give us a link to some quality belts please? Have bought several and they are all breaking within a week of use.
