This doesn't sound like a person who is offended, this sounds like someone is upset because they didn't get their way after hearing a joke about them that they didn't like. She spent more time defending her reputation as a reporter then she did trying to explain why the supposed statement (totally not a joke on a public podcast from a edgy married comedian) was offensive. I hate it when people pretend to want to be understood, and plainly refuse to answer questions pertaining to the matter at hand. I am guessing she was objectified as a reporter and if it was a personal matter, like she made out to be towards the end of the video, then she should have addressed it in private after the podcast. Schulz is edgy, he's not unconsidered. If this was a skit, great acting, but I feel like Schulz hit an emotional bulleyes with this lady.
And that's what it always sounds like. I've had it happen to me. When folks are playing the victim as a power game, when apologizing is their tool of submission, they will literally argue you down trying to tell you what your words meant and there's real emotion except their anger that you refuse to submit.

This shows how good of a comedian, and how quick on his feet Andrew is, that he comes out of this looking like the bigger person. Lots of people would've felt uncomfortably or a lot of pressure there and would've stumbled over themselves, but he kept really cool about the whole thing and disarmed her defenses to the point it was clear and apology would've been stupid to ask for and then he STILL GIVES IT and it makes everyone else look stupid. Mastery over public interaction.

It's always better to not apologize and leave them alone cause if not that anger is always gonna be held against you, which is part of it what leads to walking on egg shells.
