Hey mate, thanks for this! Do you know any decent mechanics in the Sydney, Central Coast or Newcastle areas that are Landcruiser savvy and would know how to check valve clearances, and if required, adjust/shim them? Struggling to find anyone who can/will do this!
nice one mate. ive got 2 inch lift in mine....and my screw is about 2/3 rd'd the way up....not as high as yours as it appears? so maybe i should screw mine up? is that valve at the end of your clip the BLPV valve that stevenrobinson9095 is talking about below? or is that something else? he seems to think screwing up or down is not the correct adjustment application? eg. maybe need t adjust that valve instead perrhaps? cheers - ro :-)
Possibly. Without seeing it I am not 100%sure. In adjusting mine the way I did I got better braking. I talked to a mechanic that did lifts and did what he suggested.
@@blackllama1 cheers. i may try. looks like your screw is very near the top...so if I have 2-2.5inch lift...i shouild try the same eh? especially with rear kayman and kit in the rear... 🙂
Have you got a 2 inch lift on your cruiser..i have..an i was told i needed a bias brake bracket adjustment bar..its a bar that has slotted holes..an can go up to a 5 inch l iift..since im only going 2 inch.just seeing if you know anything about it..
ThT video I made was info I was given for a 4x4 specialist. I have a 2 inch lift which is actually sitting at about 2.5 inch due to heavy duty springs. I can see the be if it if a slotted bar I think I now have mine right at the top of the thread. I’ve been playing with it since the video to get the best breaking. I hope this helps tou
Hi free thinkers, if you fit a lift kit then BLPV Brake load proportional valve eg on 80 series land cruiser coil springs has been to be adjusted for correct braking proportion increasing load carry capacity. Please consult technical advice for adjustment, a couple of turns with open end spanner is not correct application for correct BLPV adjustment.
Thank you in heaps!!!! You have helped me keep my 97 80 happy. Original owner 🙌🏻
Thanks to you I’m learning so much about my 94 80 series thanks👍👍
