The flourish of playing him on with a simplified version of the show's theme is subtle genius!
When I learned that late night hosts like to be the last to sit down I can't now unsee it.
Huh. I just thought that was being polite When I have guests over, after I invite them to sit anywhere I don't sit until they sit, and at a restaurant, I don't eat until they've been served even if my food was delivered to the table first. Just common courtesy, in my book. :-)
@@DaneArcher2000 It is courteous, but the person to sit down last also brings attentions from the viewers eye.
The purell makes more sense now lol
He's being thoughtful
It made sense back then too. Most people were just stupid.
"The Late Show with Conan O'Brien" - it has a nice ring to it.
I just watched Conan's video for Harvard, where he speaks of his graduation thesis and experience as an alumni, and it was brilliant. Truly, incredibly smart comedian.
Why I do I love Conan so much. Like the funniest host ever.
0:14 the way he made the piano guy stop playing was so cool. I replayed that bit 10x
“Ive turned my mental illness into a business model” god i wish that were me
Conan O’Brian: Who the hell do you think you are?
Jon Stewart: Where do you get off?
Gotta love Jon.
I've never heard anyone pronounce "endocrine" like that before...
If you're slimy enough, they let you do it.
Love the fact Conan quickly stood up when he was just about to sit down after he noticed that Stephen didn't sit down still. Respect.
Even if you have already, listen to Conan's podcast episode where he interviews Stephen
Pythonesque that’s a great interview!
Didn’t know about his podcast! Thanks for letting us know, just followed him on Spotify!
Listen to all the podcast episodes, it's Conan's best format other than the remote segments, and arguably one of the best podcasts running right now.
I almost cried listening to that
I hear his interview on Howard Stern is awesome too
If only we lived in this alternate reality.
2:34 Nobody would laugh at the purell today, 2nd April 2020 😂
Fr
Yeah, back in those times they could still get Purell...
Never know I needed this so much until seeing Conan sitting behind a desk 😭
This is totally a Conan show now!
god conan killed
Even the band playing of the tune was conan'd
I'm kinda surprised Colbert let him do it. For most people its just a funny bit, but Conan looks like he belongs there lol
@@xordus it's kind of the current viral or hip trend
Flipped interviews
I loved seeing him interacting with Jon acting like he does it every night.
I would watch the hell of a show with just these two together
“Networks easy”
-Conan
Colbert’s reaction was hilarious when he realized the joke.
I Don't get it
Dylan Treadway explain pls lmao
Conan was the host of The Tonight Show for a little less then a year and got his show taken away by Jay Leno. Conan was essentially robbed. As a result he moved to Cable TV for his new late night show.
I love how easily Conan just takes over.
There will never be a better talk show host than Conan. I’ll die on that hill.
Colbert being the sweet man he is by sharing an endearing story about his relationship with his wife. Conan, although probably was melting on the inside, stayed true to his comedy and made it anti-climatic.
If you know how long these two know and support each other, you know that this is a moment you'll remember when nostalgia hits you somewhere in the future.
