This is literally so helpful. I normally end up with 70 Bobby pins in a bun and it still comes loose an hour later
Use spin pins they carry the same amount if hair as 10 bobby pins.
Janell Barr why don't you try U-pins? They can secure the bun in the best possible way. You won't need to add a ton of them too!
I thought I was the only one 😆 I’m 30 now and I’ve been struggling with this since I was a teenager
fr
I have needed this for YEARS. I never knew how to stick bobby pins in my hair until this.
Fides Espelita same!
I thought someone else would point out her cool muscles.
ikr!
Omg I just noticed that!
Those are her braid guns from all the Wonder woman braiding she does.
That is the first thing that I noticed
Why doesn't have a million views already? Soooo useful, thanks Kayley! 😘
This is so helpful. I realised today that most of the hair stuff I know is what I've learned from you. Thank you so much for being an awesome teacher
Hi Kayley! This tutorial CHANGED my bun game!!! Thanks so much for creating this video! 🤗 Super helpful and relatable!
Thank you! I tried doing a trick to make a bun without Bobby pins (cuz I have never used them before) and it worked, but it unraveled 5 minutes later! So I thought using Bobby pins would be fun to try, especially since it could hold my bun for longer. Thanks♡
*Edit:* Holy cow, it worked AMAZING. My bun lasted _FOR HOURS_ ! I will definitely share this video to my friends! 💮♡🌹
I just started hair school and I can't stress how amazingly helpful your vids have been.
OMG! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I COULD MAKE A BUN! I can't express how excited I am, lol. I've been following your channel for about 2 years now, and was only able to more or less reproduce the braids or things that didn't require any pinning in place, since I have extremely thick, heavy and slippery hair. But look at me now, I can make buns and all kinds of updos! Wooohooo! The life's just begun!
With the corkscrew method when you said it is good with fine hair I'm like, YES!!! THANK YOU!
You're on a roll girl!! All of your recent uploads are so helpful!! I love how detailed you get and the different camera angles you use. Thank you for all the effort you're putting in. We appreciate it so much! ❤️
Let's be honest: Getting the perfect bun is easy ...
... when you're all alone, when nobody sees you, when you don't have to go to school, when you don't have an event ...
*When nobody's there who fucking cares about your perfect bun*
Dawncloud this is so true!!!!
Dawncloud your comment just deserves way more likes cause let's be honest we can all relate to this 😂 one time when I was sick and home alone I just made a simple bun and it looked amazing 😂😭😭
Dawncloud | Yesterday when I was going to bed, I made a messy bun, and it was freaking perfect!
Astrid .W That's sooo typical I feel you 😂
Dawncloud TRUE
You are so thorough and efficient it blows my mind!! Always impressed
ily Kayley!!! I learn so much from your tutorials!
I tried out the sewing method on a low messy bun and oh my god! Normally I have to keep redoing my bun through out the day but it stayed put!! Your bobby pin game is strong girl 🙌🙌
I have you say, having thick hair I ALWAYS struggle with Bobby pins and have watched my share of tutorials. This was by far the best one yet! Thanks for the tips!!!
I've been following you since the beginning and you're getting more awesome with Kayley time! I love your videos and the way you teach us, you're my favorite youtuber ever! You always look so kind!
Love how often you're uploading!!
Those tips make me so happy right now 😂👍🏼
Yay!!! So many options. I work with kids so buns and Bobby pins are a must. Thanks for the tips.
I love your 'tips and tricks' series! :)
Yay! It’s the first tutorial that has worked for my thick hair! I used your sewing technique and my bun is PERFECT!
Kayley, your videos have been so helpful and timesaving! Thank you so much!!
I am loving the eyebrow cut away! Too cute
I need some help. I love wearing my hair in buns, but it's at an awkward length where bits and pieces stick out, and I have no clue what to do.
Really great tips. Messy buns are exactly why we invented Betty Pins, to keep loose, messy buns staying up and looking great all day!
I'm so glad you upload more often!! Love your videos!
Yes!! I'm so excited for your videos! Your hair videos are amazing!
Thanks, Kayley, for taking out some of the mystery about using these simple-looking little tools! The line graphics over the video really help to understand what you're doing.
Just realized after seeing this video why I had been using BPs upside down (wavy side up, smooth side down) for years.
Have been using a set I bought at a Walgreens (long discontinued), after I noticed they were touting a different, intriguing curved design to fit the curve of the head. The curved side is smooth and obviously fits against the head. The top side is also curved, smooth, is shorter than the bottom and is lacking a rubber tip, so not the side to approach the scalp.
They never did have much 'grip' and are actually quite light weight and flimsy (as I see clearly now), so I added some 'regular' BPs a while ago to my stash as they seemed stronger. By force of habit I still applied the regulars smooth side down. They just looked wrong the other way, while I wondered about how the wavy side could help with grip. They still worked better than the first set, but not great. Even with improved techniques, by using them upside down, I believe I often was still not getting the most out of them.
Time to buy the recommended "good" ones! With these clever techniques I should be able to secure my does even better using fewer pins!
i love this background! Looks way better and really helps me see way your doing with the hair
Love you and your videos!

I really don't have too many problems getting bobby pins to secure my buns anymore since I switched to only using the Meta Grip ones from Sally Beauty! They're seriously blessings 💖
APPRECIATED💜
THAT HELPED ME SO MUCH!
Thank you ☺
Just found some pins behind my hair ties and hair sticks that I must have bought and forgot, so this is very useful! Now to find the tutorial that prompted me to buy those on the first place...

Similar to the corkscrew, I love using spin pins (I think they're conair) I use three all around by bun equally spaced apart. They work so well and my bun never falls out no matter what!! 👌♥️
Can you please do a tutorial on your makeup of this video? It looks amazing 😍

Magnificent Mimi sameee the struggle is real

THANK YOU! I just tried all of them and they worked perfectly. Normally my hair just slips out since its so fine, and now i don't even need a hair tie to make a bun
Yay!! That makes my day!!
Kayley, I was hoping that you could do one of your in depth tutorials on how to braid from the base of your neck up. You use it a lot in your videos but I struggle to do it. If you did a tutorial it would help me a lot. Thank You! 💕💕
Me encanto 👍🏼😘 💁🏻 Thanks 4that✨💞
