This was sooo helpful, i'm in the process of switching mains from firebrand to druid, and i was just kinda overwhelmed with everything, and this reallyreally helped a lot, so thank you!! And keep up the good work
fokin awesome, i just started playing druid, i may not be a new player, still, it is just great to see an up to date druid guide, healer and support classes get way to less attention!
really good guiide, i have been dabbling into druid lately and some of the tips you gave are really good for understanding what druid does in comps thumbs up
For water spirit u can create it and immediatly shatter is as the effect remains for 15 sec approximatly wich means that thanks to alacraty u have it permanantly while getting every 15 sec the active effect plus the first druid trait(extra heal pn heaming skill)
I have no idea where to get harrier gear with a 80 boosted character they started me off wearing soldier's when I wanted to play ranger for some odd reason, when ranger's excel at boons and conditions
Sorry to tell you but the chances are very low unless the meta changes. I do these guides based on my own process of learning a profession and my experience with weaver is pretty painful. I have real trouble placing and picking up conjure weapons while fighting and I basically gave up on learning weaver because of how important this process is. Maybe they will nerf them at some point and reduce the class to just a rotation, you can be damned sure I would learn it then, given its the highest damage in the game.
+ Mike The Fish - Thanks for the fast reply; I didn't know it was the highest dps, I was just interested in an ele running around with sword/dagger. Thanks again :)
You should know that button above your Pet Swap will fully recharge all your energy and cooldowns, so you didn't need to cut every time you ran out of energy.
I clicked on it to see if you explain Gylph of Unity. I don't see the point in using it. The damage is neglectable. What if you want to heal others but it doesn't proc because you are full hp? I always take Nature Spirit for insane 10 man passive healing over one whole minute with the possible clutch rezz.
The spirit is definitely an option in some fights that you feel failure is a potential circumstance. That ress can be invaluable. The glyph will spawn a seed of life which will aid with might generation, so it's a toss up as to what you feel you need in any given encounter.
The meta of the game is built up of professions that can do more than one thing at once. For example, your chronomancer is also your tank. In this case, your druid healer is also generating might for the party AND bringing spirits to buff the entire squad. It's because of this that druid would be very hard to replace. In terms of just healing, a couple other professions already rival the druid, but nothing can rival its entire package... So to speak!
The black market? Hehe. Yeah, they are rewards for Ascalon catacombs dungeon. They're also on every piece of armour from the vendor from that dungeon too. So you can buy direct, or buy armour and salvage.
Depends what else you have in your group. Ultimately actually, yes it is, because for fractals you really do not need the absolute best (unlike raids). But you can easily optimize your squad by having someone else who provides a little might. Like a DH or a weaver.
Whilst I will not rule out specific boss guides, they're not currently high up on my list of things to do. Unfortunately at the moment I'm struggling to find the time to edit as well. Sorry to disappoint :(
Aww alright, I just geared up my druid to maybe help my static by not being a dps only layer but im having a hard time practicing it alone on the golem to practice might generation and other stuff, and then for real bosses I dont know if theres any stuff i may miss D: Like I know that the squad can group up for a huge heal if a green is missed, which Im not sure what the druids do to heal that much damage instantly.. hmm
When facing burst damage, do the burst heal combo I mentioned in the video. In a raid where the players aren't taking unnecessary hits, you should be able to heal most to full. I have discovered through my learning of druid that in raids, it comes down to timing your heals, and knowing when you can go through the heal rotation just for boon stacking and when to wait for the inevitable mechanics based damage. Unfortunately, there really isn't a good way to practice outside of raiding, once you've got the basics down. It's about feeling the rhythm of a fight. The ebb and flow of damage. You'll get it before too long, stick at it!
Yeah I just feel bad entering a raid encounter with an LFG squad to practice because theyde be better off with a druid that knows what he's doing :( Im sure with two druids though the boon upkeep should be easy right? Just gotta hope I find groups with two so I dont have so much on my head
I mean, eventually for sure. Probably spellbreaker would make it first though (or base warrior.) Will depend how the meta shapes in the next patches for warrior.
I personally wouldn't, since the pet's base stats are lowered by 20% when you spec into druid. This change heavily impacted the druid's damage potential (sure, you have a lot of sustain but you need to actually kill the enemy). In my opinion it can't compete with soulbeast or even core ranger for solo roaming. For group support it is still fine though.
When you get to 80 you can then start using skill points to unlock an elite specialisation. Every profession has 2 (one from each expansion pack) and druid is the elite spec for Ranger from Heart of Thorns. Super healing spec that's alot of fun in the right circumstances!
Just like any other. You can craft the armor and weapons, you can farm fractals or the new maps for the accessories. It's perhaps harder to get than some but it's pretty necessary as now the druid isn't just a healer, it's also the group's main source of might. Check wiki to fill in the blanks here, too much info for a comment response.

- Same as everyone else I really enjoy your guides and have learned a lot from them. Is there any chance you'd do one for weaver?

Aj Meyers Check out Cellofrag, if you did not already
I have and it's helping out a lot. Thanks for the suggestion Rinolius
Aj Meyers No problem! Glad I could help you :D
would you update this build please to current meta

this isn`t viable anymore after Anet nerfed the Druid glyphs - am I right ?
Great guide thankyou :)
tysm this helps!!
so do you think that druid is the "only" real healer atm? engi got healing kit buffs and maybe he is viable now? what do you think?

In raid u can have a auramancer or a firebrand as a healer for the second group. It brings more healing than druid but less utility
Is it really that hard to find a rune of the monk, Cant find it on the Black market
The black market? Hehe. Yeah, they are rewards for Ascalon catacombs dungeon. They're also on every piece of armour from the vendor from that dungeon too. So you can buy direct, or buy armour and salvage.
Is magi druid still good enuff for T4 fractals?
Depends what else you have in your group. Ultimately actually, yes it is, because for fractals you really do not need the absolute best (unlike raids). But you can easily optimize your squad by having someone else who provides a little might. Like a DH or a weaver.
Thanks :]
Could you make a guide on important stuff to know for each boss with druid?
Whilst I will not rule out specific boss guides, they're not currently high up on my list of things to do. Unfortunately at the moment I'm struggling to find the time to edit as well. Sorry to disappoint :(

I always felt like lfg was the perfect place to practice stuff. Don't care about disappointing people I don't know!
Hahaha! The ending:D
My guy wheres the berserker warrior at?
i also like the videos
I mean, eventually for sure. Probably spellbreaker would make it first though (or base warrior.) Will depend how the meta shapes in the next patches for warrior.
Guys can I solo roam with druid?
I personally wouldn't, since the pet's base stats are lowered by 20% when you spec into druid. In my opinion it can't compete with soulbeast or even core ranger for solo roaming. For group support it is still fine though.
How do you make a Druid? Last I checked Druid wasn’t a profession.
When you get to 80 you can then start using skill points to unlock an elite specialisation. Every profession has 2 (one from each expansion pack) and druid is the elite spec for Ranger from Heart of Thorns. Super healing spec that's alot of fun in the right circumstances!
good song too :D
Thanks, i can really use that :D
Tell a friend ;)
HI where i can get harrier gear pls ? ez way if posible :) thx for answer have a nice day

you don't need to go full harrier tbh, you can have one or two trinkets as magi :)
66% boon duration is enough From my experience
you know you could have sat in the chair without actually sitting in the chair :D
That's not the meta of chairs... 😁
Condi scourge pls :D
This has high chance of happening. I'm currently working on something huge but if it doesn't work out I will probably do this! 😁
