Surely just find a matt grey paint and do a few coats then spend the remaining several days at the beach instead. Boy, maybe I'm missing what the fuss is about.
3 coats application for the microcement and 3 times sealing....compared to other products this is super time consuming. Not a good option for the average homeowner. And a contractor may charge an arm and a leg to lay this down
the average homeowner cant even buy this. Im a concrete contractor thats been installing microtoppings since 2001 and Ideal will not even sell to me unless I get a "certification" from them first. So you have to spend money on a flight and hotel fees to go to watch someone explain why you need to prep a floor before applying, then watch a guy install a small amount on a little 8x8 sample board and talk about their material...Now you are blessed by them to be an installer...its the dumbest thing Ive ever heard.
Why does Ideal think it necessary that you have to be certified to apply their product? Why do I need a "certification" to trowel down a cement microtopping that is no different than the hundreds of others?
Also why is Ideal products so expensive? Typical microcement products, including sealer, cost about $1.00-$2.00 per sq ft in material in the US. depending on whos product you use and what sealer you choose.
Ideal Work microtopping is close to $7 per sq ft and you cant even buy it unless they "certify" you first. Totally ridiculous.
