    IOR actualy is a measure of the deflection of light when it passes through the surface of the material.. the higher the IOR the more the light gets deflected (refracts and changes direction)... in real life that's what's actually makes a diamond sparkle more than a piece of normal glas (assuming they have an identical shape) .. normal glas has an IOR of about 1.5 while a diamond has an IOR of about 2.4..

    how do you allow multiple colors to be seen from behind a transparent object? there is the emission color option but it only allows 1 color to show and every other color that is behind a transparent object appears grey
