At the Midwest Electric Railway in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa earlier this week, an Italian trolley car arrived from GOMACO Trolley in Ida Grove, Iowa where it had some work done on it.
Hi Transcontinental Rails, I am very happy you mentioned 1361. I am so glad that the Strasburg Mechanical shops and the Railroad Memorial Museum are going to work together on 1361’s restoration, If they work together that will make the project faster and 1361 can return to steam sooner.
All great news-especially the 1361 update. And it came out today that the Reading 2100/American Freedom Train 250 may be test-fired in the next couple of months. I wonder if there'll be a second Steam in the Valley event later this year to mark AFT 250'S excursion debut, especially since last year's Steam in the Valley was cancelled
Have you heard about the California state belt railroad number 4 project? There restoring number 4 to its original condition in the old bay shore roundhouse just south of San Francisco
Awesome News All across the board, I'll definitely see if I can go to that train show because I do wish to get a hold of the society member so that way I can join. I feel like I can be a real big help to them 🙂 P.S should we be concerned about that flat car? (Being from a nuclear power plant and all?) 😄🚂
Amazing news! Do you know if 3751 will be running anytime around August? Also what locomotives are running at Niles Canyon right now and when will SP 1744 be completed
@@PrrProductions5550 It is unknown when 3751 will operate. As far as steam on the Niles Canyon Railway, ultimately just Clover Valley 2-6-6-2 no. 4. SP 1744 moves at the pace of fundraising, so click on the link below and make your donations to 1744 today: www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=PAZ3ABGFK22FQ
Skookum should still be there. What I meant was the Clover Valley no. 4 is the only one that I know of that is the most active steam locomotive there. Seems that Skookum only runs on occasion, because it’s under private ownership.

January 2025 has gotten better. Now there are more fresh news.

I might be interested in chasing 765 at the CVSR this year.

@@TheArdenwoodrailfan I have not heard of it, but I’ll definitely read more about it. Thank you for telling me about it!
I should bring this out, Sierra Railroad 2-8-2 #36 from Fred Kepner’s collection has been bought by the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad in West Virginia
Where did you hear that?
@@TranscontinentalRailfan one of my friends, I made a community post about the picture
@@CoreytheATSFConnie Oh, I see. Just to make sure, I’ll wait until an official announcement is made from the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad.
