Be thankful you have a useful helper! There's been instances around this house where a tool request comes back 10 minutes later with a barbie doll, a spoon and a peanut butter jar...
Just installed my pump on my 2014 ram. Used your video as a help guide- so thanks. It is pretty strait forward, though the clips were a real bugger to get free. Thank u
Hey man i put a cat 2 micron 98% efficient filter setup in place of the stock filter and it works great. I think i paid 150.00 for whole kit. Fits in nice. Good luck
Man just came across your vids...checked out all your suspension and fuel upgrades. Great work....about to replace all my steering linkages and suspension (just waiting for the parts to get here) and planning out the fuel system for my 2011. If you want some 4th gen content, I’m in Washington too lol.
Man this was a great video. I loved your little helper. I did my fuel pumps in my chevy and used my knees. I need one of those transmission jacks or to put some brace on my floor jack. This is definitely something I want to do soon.
I’m about to install this on my 2010 Dodge Ram 3500, my baby is far from stock fully deleted, I got 2 cat fuel filters cleaning the fuel, I’m also replacing-injectors for stock performance plus ones, this pump should help that engines thirst for diesel. Nice video sir, also ur little helper she is so cute, my kids last a whole 1 hours helping then they get bored ahahhhah
@@j.j.sgarage1457 im here trying to do this, my hose aren’t detaching from the tube, what did u do to separate the rubber hose from the metal tube both aren’t coming off
If you are talking about the fill up and vent hoses put a rag around them and lightly clamp and twist with a pair of channel locks. You can also get a small screwdriver lift a section of it and squirt some lube.
@@j.j.sgarage1457 all done now, they were fused in there, seems like that fuel pump never was changed 11 years since the truck was made, we’ll time to go and drive test this beast. Thanks dude
Great video bud, do you know if this lift pump will work on a completely stock truck? I heard you say you had a smarty on yours. I have an 05 5.9 and I need a new lift pump. Might as well go performance, just not sure if this would be too much pressure. Thanks for sharing!
Maybe one second. I always turn the key to the on position and let the system prime first before I try to start it. But there was a noticeable difference after the Fleece pump if that's what you are asking.
ua-cam.com/video/TqfxcFB5EAc/v-deo.html That the video of me installing the fuel pressure gauge with the stock pump still. Skip to 19 : 35 so you see how the truck started before and the difference and fuel pressure.
@@j.j.sgarage1457 Thx for update. I purchased this lift pump and ready to install tank. I put the lift pump in the tank but cannot seem to turn the lift pump locking ring completly on the tank. Can't get it to install properly. Any tips ?
I would try lubricating everything with a thing coat of oil or silicone grease. Might be harder if you are using a brand new tank. Also make sure you keep going around the ring as you are hitting it trying not to focus on the same spot. If that doesn’t work you can try this tool. Good luck! www.amazon.com/Sunluway-Dodge-Explorer-Ranger-Others/dp/B07KLZ59FF
@@j.j.sgarage1457Tried lubrication.... Same result. I had to order the lock ring tool. No auto parts store kept them in stock. Thought the tool would be available as a loaner... Guessed wrong. From my experience yes well worth it. Pros: reliable, supports 800rwhp, stock like installation so no need to drill a hole in your tank and get a sump. Cons: If it fails you have to drop the tank to replace it and depending on the year truck you might have have to install an aftermarket filtration system.
@@teekafilms8896 A lift pump has no effect on fuel mileage unless you were already having fuel issues. How much fuel is injected by the injectors is limited by the injection pump. Lift pump gives you more fuel at higher demands like when you are flooring it or towing heavy loads to avoid starving the injection pump. You shouldn’t notice a change in MPGs with normal driving. I hope this makes sense.

any sound difference? How about fuel mileage
Can you give an update after using the Fleece PowerFlow In-Tank Lift Pump for one year ? How is it working ? Any issues with the Lift Pump ?
No issues at all. Lift pump still works flawlessly. It still maintains the same pressure of 20psi. 👍🏽

How come you couldn't use the power from the stock lift pump to power the new one?
The new pump is actually 2 pumps so it required different wiring set up as per Fleece kit and instructions.
The fleece guy told me the stock electric doesn’t provide enough amperage for the Fleece Power Flow in tank pump
how is the pump holding up
Great! No issues yet 🤞🏽
Is it worth the money and pro and con of the lift pump

Are u getting better fuel mileage ?
