I like your unique perspective on skincare products, you see things from the chemical and formulation side and I think that is fascinating. You review all kinds of brands which I find interesting, even though I will never be able to afford La Mer I can appreciate it. The active ingredients are important, but most of us want products that our skin can tolerate and that have a certain level of cosmetic elegance, and that means appreciating at the less active and inactive ingredients. Thank you
Just moved to South Korea and have seen that Torriden at my local Olive young. Gonna pick it up! The Medikate smelled like baby powder to me! Nope! My favorite serum discovery this year was the Wishtrend barrier centella creamy one. Sooooo soothing and delightful ❤
Thanks for an interesting and thoughtful video! It's great to hear your perspective as a scientist, especially when you explained the different kinds of zinc oxide. That's the level of detail I just wouldn't get anywhere else. Your channel is just going to blow up, I know it ❤ by the way, I'm grateful you were careful to explain all your connections to some of the brands. Love the transparency
I’ve been using the Murad sulfur mask in every rendition/ formulation. It simply makes huge zits disappear (or at least o few like it helps the inflammation al a lot) I’m excited to try BoJ vitamin c, I really hope I’m impressed 😊
Yaaasss BoJ Vitamin C! She is the moment!! I also fell in love with Skin 1004 hyalu-cica blue serum and Summer Friday's Dream Oasis serum. Just started trying Paula's Choice and Naturium Azelaic Acid serums.
hi!! i literally got the PC azealic acid yesterday! how have your results been so far? ive been hearing from lots of people that it takes its sweet time for any results :(((((
@@sainihithavalluru7382 I only had a sample size of the PC one. The texture was nice I'll say. The Naturium version is full size and smells a little more like...science lol
Promptly shipped in U.S (where it is made). Dispenses well. Refiills are handy and cut cost and waste. Medium thick consistency that spreads beautifully and leaves my skin hydrated. My combo/oily skin daughter loves it as well. Truly one of the few products that has a noticeable effect. The only non-Asian item in my routine.
I agree that the Medik8 smells too strong! It’s also so expensive, especially as you move up in strength. I’m using the Geek & Gorgeous one instead, and I like it so far!
Hi Ramón! The Clearing Clay from Soft Services is no longer available. The product IS being reformulated as per an email from the brand sent to customers at the end of summer. However, there is no estimated timeframe of re-release.

Omg thank you for telling me this! That’s exciting
tranexamic acid is a tyrosinase inhibitor good for dealing with discoloration. it's sometimes prescribed by derms in oral form for this purpose. wondering why you seemed to be suspicious of it as an ingredient?

Topical vs oral use
Рік тому
@CassieAfricanQueen because the evidence for tranexamic acid topically isn’t there. Orally? Yes. For topical usage, the key evidence for its benefits always pair it with more studied and effective ingredients for pigmentation, like niacinamide
I have loved your content for years, so thank you. If copper peptides are 700 Da do they absorb? I heard only under 700 ( and less than 5 amino acids) absorbs? What about the other peptides in that Glow Recipe product as far as absorption? I figured you'd be the guy to ask!
Can I use jumiso vitamin c serum? "i have combination skin type and I don't really have problems with my skin it's simple besides that I'm only 19 years old" is it okay to use?
La Mer 👎 $220 for half an ounce. I challenge you to praise it and say the price in the same breath.

Oh I’m well aware. I’m not saying to buy it. I’m just saying why I liked it. You have free agency to do as you please. As do I. Hence why it’s in my video. That I made. About products I particularly enjoyed or found interesting. On my channel.
La Mer is an exclusive brand. Their product pricing and marketing gear towards a dedicated group of consumers. If that doesn’t fit you, that’s ok! He talked about many other products with different price points. You don’t have to make people feel bad about a product that they personally love At the end it’s just lotions and creams. It’s not that deep 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
First off, I love you and I don’t miss a single video of yours, but I do have to finally ask why is every skincare product a she? Why can’t it be it or he, by the way I’m a woman and I’m just wondering thank you

Fun question. It’s just a gay expression. Everything in our world is ‘she’ for some reason. Nothing is intended by it, just keeps things fun
Well the moment you praised la mer.. i knew i couldn't trust your content.. There's nothimg good about that hyped up product.. La mer = Nivea+algea extract.. La mer shouldn't be recommended (to anyone) in the first place.. There's no merit to it.. How do you get good results- Red light therapy Laser treatments (expensive but totally worth it) Microneedling (skin of colour should take extra care) Acid peels Retinoid Thick moisturiser (even basic would work..la mer is basic..) (Heck even cera ve would do better tham la mer.. i don't support cera be as it's not CRUELTY FREE..but it's atleast genuine..)

Thankyou for al the hard wrk ,
My favorite 2023 serum discovery is the Chaga Charging Drop by SerumKind. Definitely for dryer skin types and colder weather.

For anyone wanting the Olay super serum without the fragrance, I believe there Olay night repair serum has all the same ingredients but fragrance free
This is Gonna b so Helpful Ramon🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Friday😀….
Thanks Ramon! 2023 discovery for me is Experiment's Super Saturated. On my 4th bottle (they sell refills). My dry, mature skin loves it.
could you explain a bit why you like it so much? Is it the formulation, the ingredients? Or maybe something entirely different?

@ramon, like you I like the feel of syrup/gel products on my skin. Just leaves the skin feeling supple.
I like the way your lips look. What product did you use on them?

I put the TO product on a small abrasion *once*
It was gone in 2 days!
La Mer 😂 I hope they played some great music for that seaweed. 🎻 🌊
Loved this video
Next is MOISTURIZERS!!!!!! I want to see skin1004 pro bio line! Wonder if it will make it
Can the beauty of joseon retinal eye cream be used all over the face?
I use it all over my face when I travel so I don’t have to bring a separate retinol product
Yes, it's standard 30ml size serum. They even say it in the instructions.

The oil of Olay made my skin burn. I do not have sensitive skin at all and have never reacted to a product before.
