They didn't take it from him. Ari talked about this on his podcast already. He made the choice not to host it because he was too busy doing other things. He is still the co-creator. He curated the entire lineup and was part of the process of choosing his replacement the whole time. There was no stealing or firing going on.

this was the funniest one of the season and without a doubt among the funniest of all.
I grew up watching Howies stand up. Along side Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Eddie Murphyetc, etc. I loved it. I wasn't sure if he'd still have it. He does. This was great. The setup before the story was very reminiscent of 80 comics. So excellent. I recommend watching Kevin Nealons series when Howie and him go for a hike.

If you haven’t seen Roy Wood Jr on the Daily Show check him out. He’s great. It’s a tough job to take over a successful show. Most times it doesn’t work out, but it’s not like Ari WAS the show. He’s a fantastic comedian that built something great, but fans of his and the show should be happy that he’s moving on to bigger things and give Mr. Wood a shot. That’s just my opinion.

P.S. to all the other reviewers: don't hate on another comic, just because Ari isn't hosting. I get that, and think it sucks too, but it has nothing to do with the other comics.

NotMe, He created... his buddy did the crazy intros thats why they dont have them anymore. He sold his most recent special to netflix and comedy central got butthurt and screwed him out of his own show. Thats how corperations and money works.
NotMe, Also if you notice during the first couple seasons alot of the comics returned a few times and have not yet this new season because they were all of Ari's friends. Most of them wont be back because they know what happened.
