That was a fabulous game to be at... other than during that brief period where the Scheifele/KC/Vilardi line got hemmed in after they got put out there together and Calgary tied it. No matter how Coach frames it in pressers, as soon as that goal went in for Calgary, to his credit, he immediately went back to Ehlers top line. I think he's trying to do a balancing act because Ehlers gets Monny line scoring but I don't think he'll be able to put in KC on top line consistently in future with as leaky as they tend to be. And I keep saying that every top team has their stars on separate lines so it's not a new phenomenon. Still a great game and I love how Vilardi and Ehlers on same line immediately produced results, as opposed to the alternative.

Glad you got to enjoy it in house Phyllis!
Agreed completely on the switch. And it’s not a new phenomenon at all, just need a bones to not be stubborn and actually let it roll.

At this point the 81-55-13 line is beyond stubborn it is obstinate, Bowness has to know the numbers he just cant get away from that line combo. The avs have a great power play and based on an article about playoffs and penalty calls from The Athletic 'The games that are more likely to see more penalty calls than in the regular season are the first four games of the first two rounds.' It is even more important to put out an optimal lineup with the best potential to score one each line and get the lead. The Avs will have the 3 best players on the ice, the Jets best counter is their depth gotta win the battle of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines.

Bones is stubborn and old, doesn’t matter what numbers say, he’s gotta roll with his gut that *checks notes* has brought him to the worst W% in NHL history and 0 Stanley cups. Great system, horrible adjustment coach.
Optimization is going to be CRUCIAL vs Colorado

Coaching will be our downfall, you have covered the forward group, after listening to Bones praise Pionk's game after watching him play is beyond me. The play on the first goal where is has possession and instead of trying to move it, takes it to the boards trying to pin it, is crazy. He forces Lowery to come and help him out next thing you know Calgary gets the puck and it's in our net. JM bailed him out a few times, but this will cost the Jets as at some point JM will be less effective having to cover for #4

The Pionk stuff is insane to watch unfold. Couldn’t agree more here

I can’t believe Chevy is allowing this?
On the plus side Miller looks good.
