The Bk11/14 is a GREAT knife! Carry my BK11 everyday as neck knife for a few years and I am super pleased. Bought kydex sheath and micarta scales too. Nothing against Esee but here goes: BK11/14 has a slightly better steel composition than Izula with a fantastic Kabar heat treat. If you bought an Izula, you still need micarta and kydex because the handle is thin and the crappy Esee Izula sheaths wear out too. Izula is a great knife in it’s own right but It is simply over priced while the Bk11 is worth every penny when tricked out.

Its a little bit large for a neck knife. This is 1095 Cro-van steel. For the price you can get better steel in similar design by ka-bar. Take a look at the Snake Charmer by KaBar using CPM-S35V steel.
For extended use I agree with you 100% Ray. I'm also not really a neck knife guy also. But I do like alot of these smaller fixed blades for throwing in a tool bag or on a backpack. Thanks for watching.
with the handles it's nearly 100 bux as a kabar becker fan....I'd have to say no not worth the price when u can literally uy all their knives just about at that price

Nice little knife.I just never feel comfortable with little 3 finger handles.Except for opening boxes i probably wouldnt use it.
