The 90s and early 00s was my childhood and you guys are going through all these songs i grew up with and i really appreciate it. I love that you guys are loving them as well
David Lee Murphy wrote this song at his kitchen table and his producers knew it was a hit. He went in and recorded it and they put it on his first album "Out With a Bang" It went to #1. It is an original song. He still sounds exactly as he did on this record.
This is a great song. I’m from west Texas and one time in the 90s I was traveling with my young daughters through Missouri and saw where he was going to be singing in a county fair so we went just to hear him sing.
Keith- I always took this song to mean that if you look past your initial reaction to (insert noun here) and take the time to dig deeper, look beneath the surface, and let connections build, you can find more than you ever expected.
I always loved his voice. My favorite song/video of his is "The Road You Leave Behind". I always felt he was underrated in a lot of ways, which seemed to have happened to a lot of country artist during the 90's. Quite a few really talented acts got lost in the shuffle.
It's a blessing and a curse. There were an insane number of really talented singers in the 90's, no matter the genre. But because of that, so many got lost in the shuffle of popularity and constantly shuffling in new singers.
@@TimedRevolver Exactly. I have been listening to a lot of country from the 90's lately and I am amazed by the singers that just sort of disappeared after a few songs when they should have had long standing careers. Michelle Wright is one that comes to mind.
Dustin's comment that this is a song "made for country music fans who like rock 'n roll" made me think of one of my favorites, Chris LeDoux. I know you have reacted to him before. Check out his song, "Even Cowboys Like a Little Rock And Roll." I think you'd love it. And, yes, country music lovers (at least all that I know) love a good rock 'n roll song too. :)
It's me. Though, with me, it's an intentional thing. I prefer to be underestimated, so, even though I have very expensive clothing hanging in the closet, I will usually intentionally under-dress for any given occasion. Provides some fun counter-ambush opportunities when people make those snap judgments. - Keith
I do know at some point you guys did react to Jason Michael Carroll's Alyssa Lies about a year ago. I'd check out "living our love song" by HIM. I feel like it shows more of his vocal range versus Alyssa Lies even though that's a very fantastic song. On a side note when I watch your guys's videos it feels like I'm hanging out with my uncle's and they're cool friends. And they're learning about music I already know about and it's just fascinating to watch.
It's funny that you said there is another version called "Dust on the Bible"....because I thought that is what he said my entire life. It's definitely just "Dust on the Bottle"! 🤣 Discovery of the internet proved me wrong!!!
So have I hit a 100 bottles sent yet, getting close. Might have to do you guys singing and playing 100 bottles of bourbon on the wall for number 100....lmao
Here we go… Great 90’s Country Music!!! Keep the 90’s Country Coming:)

This song has really stood the test of time. It still gets good airplay on country radio.

Jami, we’re short two songs for you on bribes, can you shoot us back two songs you’d like to see us do?
@@BourbonCountryReacts what song do you already have?
@@jami9130 outside of the ones that have already dropped, we have recorded ‘didnt have to be’

Yes, I love 50's Rick and roll
Many of the hits of the 90s were considered Rock a Billy. Performers who grew up on country AND southern rock along with the hair bands of the 80s.
The style of the music fits with that really well. - Keith
Always reminded me of that old saw, "there may be snow on the rooftop but there is fire in the furnace".
yeah that's the kind of vibe i got too, the "don't judge a book by it's cover" kind of feeling or theme

Love this song! #DustOnTheBottle #PreciousMemories
Boy we danced a lot to this song …. Even after the bar would close we would hit the backroads and keep the party going …
My weekends usually started down a backroad somewhere. - Keith
@@BourbonCountryReacts yeap same here in Texas …. Still hit the backroads just now on the Harley lol

@@BourbonCountryReacts which is what i love about y'all.
Garth has a song from one of his recent albums called, “Baby Let’s Lay Down and Dance”.😉
It’s a Tim McGraw song where a screw was a screw and it’s called “Back then”
And a Merle Haggard song too. Forget the name of the song. Talks about when Coke is actually a coke a cola
@@stevebournite184 yeah Tim may have just covered it but that’s the one
Always thought this was a great story love song.
Why don't we get drunk & screw was Jimmy Buffett. The studio didn't want to put the title on the album cover.
It's funny that you said there is another version called "Dust on the Bible"....because I thought that is what he said my entire life. It's definitely just "Dust on the Bottle"! 🤣 Discovery of the internet proved me wrong!!!
Lol my best friend did the same thing
@Anna Westall glad to know I am not the only one!! 🤣 I would be singing it to the top of my lungs too.
Great beer drinking, bar song!! Nice job guys! I'd like to request "A Man Holding On To A Woman Letting Go" by Ty Herdon.
So have I hit a 100 bottles sent yet, getting close. Might have to do you guys singing and playing 100 bottles of bourbon on the wall for number 100....lmao
I think we'd have to drink fifty of them before we'd be willing to do that. - Keith
React to HARDY - JACK 🤘🏼 - heavy song and it’s about Jack. A 2 in 1 for you guys 🥃
This one's a banger for sure.
We thought it was pretty good. And catchy. - Keith

I love David Lee Murphy he was very under appreciated. My favorite by him is “the road we leave behind”. ua-cam.com/video/x6DLsf8VG5Y/v-deo.html
Figured you would love the guitar in this one.
Yeah, from Scorpions, to Whitesnake, to Skynard. Had a little bit of everything. - Keith
. I will say that Steven is Right The Kentucky HeadHunters version is stellar.
For some reason, we couldn't find it. - Keith
Headhunters never did it
Try doing a reaction from David Lee Murphy newest album called I won't be sorry!! You gotta hear it!!
Yes sorry, I forgot it was David Lee Murphy
At least you know we pay attention -Dustin
@@BourbonCountryReacts yes you do

Hahaha another good bottle
Check out the live version of Country Boy by Ricky Skaggs if you want to hear some awesome guitar
Why don't we get drunk and screw is jimmy buffet but yes country music is good for story tellin and double meanings
My ex used to sing this to me to give me a hard time because I was older than him!
Lets get drunk and screw was a Jimmy Buffet song
Keith, we might have to ask Household 6 if you have aged fine as wine and got sweeter.
