Oh I'm buying it regardless and yes the game does need a remake, I was hoping they combined Witcher 1 & 2 in this remake.
From what I've heard, even though the second game isn't as refined as the third one, it's still leagues better than the first one in terms of modernized controls, gameplay, and graphics. Even though the second game could potentially benefit from a remake, I think that it is much more important for the first to get it. Plus, I would want CD Projekt Red to devote as much time as possible to perfect the Witcher 1 Remake as much as they can. I think if they were to do anything in regards to The Witcher 2, they would either remaster it, which I wouldn't be against especially if, like the Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition, it was a free upgrade. Or they would remake it akin to the Last of Us Remake. Just using the Witcher 1 remake Engine and slightly modifying the gameplay. Which worst case scenario would put time away from the Witcher 1 Remake which I would rather full attention be brought to. And Best case scenario, would be a nice new coat of paint with slightly refined gameplay that, even though it could be seen as unnecessary, would be the preferred way to play for new comers. But unless it releases in the same year as the Witcher 1 Remake, which I think is unlikely because they already announced all their upcoming games in a 6 year time span and it is not mentioned, I would just play the actual second game after the remake because I've wanted to play this series since 2020, and the Witcher 1 being as old as it is is the only thing that stopped me from achieving that goal. I honestly just hope that The Witcher 1 remake is good and is not a buggy mess like Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition (at least on PC). I also hope they don't censor it, but I honestly don't know what to expect from them. Right now, all we can do is hope this game will be good and an improvement to the original in every way possible.
@@artoflegends Oh without a doubt it's way better. Not storyline mind you but everything else is like 2 generations better.
