I wasn't scared by it from my side, but I felt really tense. I called this when the last trailer dropped. I said “man he watched like everyone around him die and then Claire was able to save a small child” literally in the first 10 mins of the game he watches the sheriff die, then Elliot gets ripped in half, then Marvin saves him but had already been bitten so he told Leon to save himself first. And that was all in the first few minutes of the game. I think a few people thought when he said “this time it has to be different” that Luis would survive the story. Nah, it’s because Leon feels guilt and dread over being one of the few survivors. Now he’s actually got something to prove. He has to prove that he can do more than just survive but he can save someone too.

They added lots of new things to keep the remake fresh and innovative, while keeping old stuff recognizable enough to make it nostalgic and faithful to the original. Thats how you make a remake, folks, not just upgrading the graphics and leaving everything else untouched, like some people want you to think.
The parry is so game changing, it's insanely fun to pull off lmao. Doing a NG+ run with presumably an infinite knife and the Chicago Typewriter is gonna be great lol.
Okay, a nice realistic touch I noticed. If you reload the handgun while it still has ammunition in the gun it will give you 10 with a +1 above the ammo counter. Representing the fact that there is still one in the chamber.
The knife is still strong in the remake and I love it. The parry mechanic is interesting too since as long as you hold the knife at the ready any attack at leon with a weapon he auto deflects . But I wonder if there is a perfect parry timing
I did notice that sometimes when I parry I can kick right after and sometimes I can’t. Maybe if you get it perfect you can stun them and knock them down. My only issue is the lunge range of some of the ganados like omg. I don’t see many people being able to do this game and take no damage. Even in the original, a no damage run required a ton of skill AND luck. This game.. God be with you because these ganados gave me hell
There are two types of parry based on my testing: one that you can achieve even by spamming the parry button - this will cost you a lot in terms of knife endurance, and one that you need to time perfectly (just before the blow lands) - this second one stuns the genado, allowing you to melee them and costs you little in terms of knifing endurance.
@Asclepius ah I see. You can get a parry by just holding the knife at the ready and it also let's you get a kick after a few deflects but it's good to know that there is a "perfect" parry window too
I jus played it too. Game crashed a few times but is the rest of the Game plays like this Demo, it is going to be the Game of The Year hands down, just like last time. I was able to do 12:14 Time, 21 Kills & 5,750 ptas. on my 2nd full attempt. This brought back the same intensity and enjoyment from RE4, 18 Years ago. What an incredible Demo.
as an added bonus you can get the other chainsaw guy to burst through the gate before running into the cabin (like in the original where he is guardian the door)

Interesting that it seems that they added like a second state for the Ganados like the one you encounter at the beginning. They don't sprout a Plagas but instead have more health and can't be stunned.
This easied all my concerns about the game. I noticed so many little improvements like being able to just smash open the crates without pulling out the knife, weapon quickswaps and parrying the chainsaw. The gore and body physics are amazing, and Dr. Salvador has a new finishing move, he literally stabs you in the back and lifts you up leather face style! It’s awesome!
Speaking of RE4 Remake Demo, the demo game has a secret difficulty called Mad Chainsaw Mode. But to get this secret difficulty, you have to play this demo again, again and again until you get this Mad Chainsaw difficulty in the RE4 Remake Demo.
@@retiredsnowbunnyhunterx5106 The Mad Chainsaw, this is the most hardcore boss you will be tormented by in Mad Chainsaw Mode on this difficulty. But keep in mind, in this difficulty you will not be able to cope with the difficulty of the enemies and the boss on easy, as this difficulty is extreme.

One thing I'm happy about is the music, sounds like they did a good job. They could have ruined it in so many ways but the village music and the music at the end of the chapter are really good
There’s an alt scene where u try to run for the gate, the Salvador comes out eyeing you down. Wouldn’t recommend doing it if your playing chainsaw difficultly. You’ll have Salvador in front of you, and the villagers behind. You’re sandwiched alright.
I love how trying to metagame and go for the stun in the first encounter made everything more tense. (Unloads pistol into man’s legs) That ganado was tanky!
It really was perfect, exactly how a remake should be. They kept every location so far with any sort of memorability without it being 1:1. The main house still has all the same rooms, even that upstairs section. They kept the shacks on the way to the village, the bridge, that hilled area with the truck. God damn, they really paid attention to what was memorable and kept it all. The stealth isn't as OP as we thought it would be, it's actually a bit hard to pull off and even harder to get kills with. The combat is HARD, each Ganado is actually a threat.

@@retiredsnowbunnyhunterx5106 It's a red haring, shouldn't that be obvious?
I can't get over how amazing this demo is, makes me think of my friend Adam who introduced me to this game over 15 years ago. He's not with us anymore and all I can think about is how awesome he would think this is. Fly high, my friend.
That's so sad I'm sure he would have loved it
My heart goes to you and his family may he rest in peace ❤️
God bless him and im sure he would of loved it🙏🙏
I absolutely can not wait to get my hands on this game and especially excited to see Bawk do some runs. This game is going to be legendary!
The fact the Gernados are actually a threat now is a great change, the atmosphere is creepy and amazing, and the new gameplay is fluid and fun. So excited for the full release
They were a threat in the original too, it's just that everyone played the shit out of it and now they're very predictable
@@LarryHazard ehhh I mean once you learned that head/leg shots were almost always instant stuns they weren't much to worry about. I am super curious how bulky the cultist and soldier versions will be
@@LarryHazard Not really...
I'm really excited to see U3 and Regenerators in this game. Man, it looks so fun...
It’s really hard tbh but I like that it’s not easy. I’m sure it will have like 5 difficulties same as RE3.
Easy mode
Standard
Professional
Nightmare
Inferno
That’s what I assume. This game felt like hardcore mode is the standard haha which isn’t that bad to me. I play a lot of NG+ so I don’t like when the ganados die super easily in the original.
Leon had to study the language through the government before going lol. This is going on with every professional now especially doctors. As an accountant I have to study Spanish too and love it!
Hey bro! Im soon also going to be becoming an accountant. Would you like to connect? Id love to ask you some questions about the career in the near future
Leon Spanish isn't that great too, which is a nice detail
this demo hyped me up far more than I ever would have thought. I cannot wait until the 24th!!
You know how amazing this game is gonna be when bawk sheds a tear while playing the demo
Btw the barn in the village you help lift Ashley to a window there is a prompt in the demo when the full game comes out.
Dude I felt emotional during my first play through of this demo. This game already gives me the nostalgia from I felt in 2005. This remake is no doubt going to be game of the year!
The intro cutscene is cool too. Krauser being shown and what not. I also love you can actually look at stuff too.
Legit amazing! Really like all the new animations and the horror direction is a massive improvement imho
I jumped so hard when I played this today. I usually barricade myself in one of the houses but turned out to be a village party inside instead with another chainsaw dude.
Also rip to the og dog that Leon saved back in the day
Yep chainsaw got me trying to hide in that tower. Floor caved in an lead me right to him. Felt bad seeing that dog laying there stuck in that bear claw.
I was a bit nervous, but it looks great, runs great, controls great... was cautiously optimistic before but I'm feeling way more confident about this remake now.
This is why they dropped a demo 2 weeks before release. They were confident what they did was good and wanted to prove it to us. Mission accomplished.
I felt the controls could be better. Everything else was good. Controls definitely not as tight as the original
Controls great? Are you kidding me? Did you play RE4 original?
@@NeroRedfield im 50 yrs old. Ive been a fan and playing RE before you were born. Ive played re4 at least 30+ times, since I'm a big fan. Just watch any pro gameplay of RE4OG or re4/re5 mercs.(not a Twitch streamer, I mean record holders) Any serious pro of those 2 games will tell you what I said.
And before you denounce re5, just seek out any serious pro who holds records on re5 mercs, and they will explain just how important re5 mercs is and why the controls are perfect.
BTW, enjoy the demo!
@@redbeardnj I dont understand your reaction. My reaction is for seedmole. Ive played RE4 og many times too. Btw, Im 47 years old.
I was somewhat reluctant to try the demo in the first place, since I wanted to wait for the full game to come first. I avoided dying at all by the skin of my teeth, and I loved it so much that I played through the full thing a second time! If that isn't the sign of a fantastic game to come, I don't know what is.
Right? The gore alone has me sold
man I can't wait to translate all the Italian text written across all these new areas
It's Spanish

@@StarsTeamMember yeah, I got the joke now
Agreed man. I just got done with the demo and it's fking awesome. I have never been more excited for a video game release than this one right here. Imo, I believe this game has the potential to be the very best remake in gaming history to date. Super pumped for March 24th!! 🐔💜🤝
it's only like 2 minutes short lol
I mean long.! The game is right around the corner but I still wish Capcom would've gave us T least complete 30 minutes of gameplay and that includes speed running through so a lengthy demo!
I think Dead Space R is a contender for one of the best remakes ever made but I’m hoping RE4R surpasses even that
@@godsstrongestschizo yeah DSR is a really good remake imo as well. Also, as it stands now, it might change depending on what comes out this year, but I think DSR could win GOTY this year.🏆 (that's if al the other games that come out this year are crap lol but RE4R is looking like a formidable contender to DSR this year from what I have experienced and seen so far.
This demo for me has low to mid replay-ability, which is the perfect amount Capcom should aim for because now im wanting the entire game, not this demo. I've played it 3 times already, and I might play it 3 more times before the game releases. Now if only we can get Capcom to make a decent current mega man game..lmao jk.😜
@@LunalovaniaGaming I just want a new MMX game
There was no Chainsaw decapitation. So they lied about cut content
It's going to be one of the greatest games ever
The og is but meh not the remake
It's gonna be for sure man!!
Its good that they made Leon (and probably other playable characters) be able to move fast, because just imagine back tracking to pick up items or getting to the save points.
I remember there was quite a a lot of back tracking back in original RE4, and it did take a while getting from one side of an empty area to another.
I don't think people would want to spend 3 minutes travelling round the same empty areas. Or simply jog away from chainsaw maniacs.
There will still be backtracking In the remake, even more because of the requests
Ah its that time of the year again. Bawkbasoup and a new Resident Evil! Can't wait for your stream!
They kept us waiting for bingo 👀
After I played the demo, I preorder the deluxe edition. I’ll be playing along your streams!
There’s a secret difficulty it’s random after you beat the demo it’s insanely difficult unfortunately it’s only for the demo
I like the serious tone there, also the organic scene of "la campana tenemos que ir" is amazing
I love that the enemies are harder to kill in this game. Makes it more tense especially when getting swarmed. Two weeks? Shit I might die of excitement before it drops.
I always wished I could experience RE4 all over again like when I was a kid... never thought I'd actually be able to do it...
Just finished the demo and I can't wait. I said if they add one line that I love, this will be the best game of the year! where's everybody going bingo!!!!! BINGO INDEED
This is looking great, the only thing I'm genuinely missing is the original menu, with its unique sounds and weapon holding poses.
game is not released yet, we'll see!
@@vaggelisroussis3656 The game is released in two weeks and I doubt the full release will have a drastically different menu. Maybe later on with an update or even mods, but I think this is the final look of the menu for now.
Thats a issue and textures are loading slow for some people
@Cerebrustus Bordungolski probably not but the demo specifies this an older build that's why there are some weird textures I know that first dear carcass is like that.
@@habijjj Ah, I see. I didn't know about that warning.
I use to play this game on every console and my mother use to watch me and i try to get leon like hair cut and talk to my mom. Actually use to talk to my mother about everything and we use to watch everything, but she passed away last year 15 November 2022. Just had memories flashing before my eyes today. Congratulations to you brother you are one of my favourite Resident evil streamer. May God bless you and everyone 🙏🏻 hugs sunny.....
There is a cool thing that happens with the cow if you don’t shoot the lamp! I won’t spoil it though
😂 I was to busy running from the villagers to be worried about that cow.
It just sens itself on fire everytime I play.Dont even have to shoot it loo
The music during the village smackdown was so sick!
Okay, a nice realistic touch I noticed. If you reload the handgun while it still has ammunition in the gun it will give you 10 with a +1 above the ammo counter. Representing the fact that there is still one in the chamber.
No ammo gets wasted, that's good
The knife is still strong in the remake and I love it.
You can get a parry by just holding the knife at the ready and it also let's you get a kick after a few deflects but it's good to know that there is a "perfect" parry window too
I wish RE 3 remake could be as gorgeous as RE 4 remake!...
I would agree but with zelda coming out its hard to beat that for goty
The church bell was epic no cutscene the enemys stand quite and hypnitized. 😵😳
as an added bonus you can get the other chainsaw guy to burst through the gate before running into the cabin (like in the original where he is guardian the door)
Cant wait for this game to come out, already preordered it!
Ditto! Did you get regular or deluxe? I had to get deluxe for 10.00 more. Wanna try that treasure map expansion lol
@@BENNY_MAC It was the deluxe edition :) I love this game, it did change combat compared to the original and I wish knife had infinite durability like original but the stuff I like seems like it will outweight the ones I didnt like :) 2 more weeks, are you excited too?
@@LPFSuleyman I've never been this excited in my life for a game to come out and I'm 40 lol. RE4 is literally probably my favorite game of all time
@@BENNY_MAC Yeah I would be upset if this game doesnt get the GOTY award, finally after re2 and re3 remakes I finally have my second favorite after re1 remake, are you getting this on ps5 or pc?
i thought i will be crying the money i gave to preorder but if its like this and not a shortcut of re4 i will feel huge relief.
That intro for leon is FIRE hearing him talk ab his pain man wow.
The voice actor for Leon improved so much
Loved the little flashback with his training and Krauser
@@rino3078 it's not that he improved it's that Leon as a character changed from a naive young bright-eyed rookie officer into a battle trained government agent with PTSD and survivor's guilt. Leon grew up and the voice actor portrayed both roles perfectly.
The knife tech is crazy. It's like they heard about how crazy it was in RE2make due to a framerate glitch and were like "Oh we can do better as a feature."
I was shook. When I shot one of villagers and they got up with neck snapped. Even though it happened at start. I was gagged. So scary.
I'm so freaking happy they kept the bingo line!
This demo legit scared me a few times. It's really intense
Can't wait for you cover this entire game let's gooo
I loved all the "Mad Chainsaw Mode" conspiracy talk! Turns out it really does exist!
i can honestly say that i have rarely been that excited for a game in my life !! my only problem playing this was the FOV, even maxed out it looked a bit narrow for my comfort. This is going to be an amazing game for SURE
Omg😮😮! Goosebumps ❤❤❤❤❤!! The bingo line how they build it up ❤❤❤❤❤
Interesting that it seems that they added like a second state for the Ganados like the one you encounter at the beginning. They don't sprout a Plagas but instead have more health and can't be stunned.
This, ladies and gentlemen, THIS IS HOW YOU DO A REMAKE
At least in the demo.
Ok this is got my seal of approval so far
This easied all my concerns about the game. I noticed so many little improvements like being able to just smash open the crates without pulling out the knife, weapon quickswaps and parrying the chainsaw. The gore and body physics are amazing, and Dr. Salvador has a new finishing move, he literally stabs you in the back and lifts you up leather face style! It’s awesome!
I’m just glad we can actually run in this game
I almost forgot he can run in it saved me from running from the villagers and chainsaw man.
I’m so glad your channel is growing man❤️ I’ve been watching you for sooooo long! Rewatched your full play throughs like 4-5 times lol
After playing the demo few mins ago, I have never been so relieved to hear the church bell ring and the "la campala" being uttered ;w;
Speaking of RE4 Remake Demo, the demo game has a secret difficulty called Mad Chainsaw Mode. But to get this secret difficulty, you have to play this demo again, again and again until you get this Mad Chainsaw difficulty in the RE4 Remake Demo.
What the difference in that mode? Is it harder or the chainsaw dude harder?
@@retiredsnowbunnyhunterx5106 The Mad Chainsaw, this is the most hardcore boss you will be tormented by in Mad Chainsaw Mode on this difficulty. But keep in mind, in this difficulty you will not be able to cope with the difficulty of the enemies and the boss on easy, as this difficulty is extreme.
The village battle music is great, like some 90s industrial track. Do wish the battle lasted longer, at least when I play it feels like its only a few minutes. Great fun though, so excited. The knife is REALLY powerful as well.
boi did Salvador made my butt clench when i shot him with the shotgun and he didn't go flying, like in the 2005 ver. lol.
Yeah, my guy just tanked two shots up close lol. I do like how he uses the chainsaw to block your shots too
One thing I'm happy about is the music, sounds like they did a good job. They could have ruined it in so many ways but the village music and the music at the end of the chapter are really good
2023 is going to be a great year for gaming and a horrible year for my productivity
😆 facts! Also can't wait for the Capcom Robocop game
Who cares about productivity when they don't care about you in the first place.
There’s an alt scene where u try to run for the gate, the Salvador comes out eyeing you down. Wouldn’t recommend doing it if your playing chainsaw difficultly. You’ll have Salvador in front of you, and the villagers behind. You’re sandwiched alright.
combat feels so good
I was so giddy playing thru this demo, this game is looking amazing!
I just got done playing the demo and boy it was fire!
Damn. This game is going to be fantastic
I love how trying to metagame and go for the stun in the first encounter made everything more tense.
(Unloads pistol into man’s legs)
That ganado was tanky!
dude i cannot WAIT for the full game
I was more excited for your reaction to Leons Bingo phrase at this point than the remake release itself 🤣
The wells in the village will lead you to a TMP, the one by the tower or the one by the barn with the cow.
ended coming across a hidden difficulty in the demo its called mad chainsaw it popped up when i started a 5th round on the demo itself seems quite terrifying
Can't believe it's really happening
Wow, Leon actually spoke some Italian.
I love the how the AI ambushes and flank you no matter where you run when you think you got away, this game is amazing.
the folks chilling in the living room had me dead lmao
Wildest thing about the Demo to me was that it confirms Leon 1st Claire 2nd as the canon story order for RE2 Remake since Leon remembers Marvin alive.
Now we need to see you in action with the TMP Submachine Gun. Only one thing, discard everything in your inventory and find the weapon in the village
