Port canaveral is a popular embarkation/ debarkation port. Cruises rarely go there as a destination. Idk why you’d rate it when most cruises just go there to board passengers.
We’ve been on 4 cruises that have stopped there from NYC. That’s 4 out of 15. NYC cruises almost always stop there on the Bahama’s route. A lot of NY cruisers follow us and I’m sure they appreciate being made aware that they will either have to taxi or take an excursion to enjoy that stop.
Thank you for your informative video. I like your presentation. It's a lot different than other cruise channels. Having that carefree nature mixed in with some humor works. I just wanted to say that Nassau in the Bahamas is a lot nicer now than when you went. It's a beautiful port and it's worth checking out again. You can take a $7.00 ferry to Atlantis. I've been to Atlantis before and stayed there, but it was nice to go back and visit. Although, I lost a lot of money at the casino, it's still nice to visit. I just subscribed and hope to see others doing the same. Best of luck!!!
Thank you so much for subscribing and supporting us.🙏🏼💖🙏🏼 Have seen other videos on the new Nassau Port and we will be cruising there in 2 weeks and will definitely include our thoughts when we go! Then we will be back there in October which is when we will most likely do an excursion. Good to know there is a $7 ferry to Atlantis!
@@laurieGaryCruise I was there in 21 very shortly after cruising restarted and they didn’t even have taxis. I only saw 1 small building that was closed.
@@shirleymcnickle4281 we were there before the pandemic and there were lots of kiosks set up right near the port. Maybe they left or closed during the pandemic?
We just got back from a cruise in Europe, Norwegian Star and for bad ports, this one past all records for us. Bilbao Spain - Shuttle from the ship to town is not really to the centre of town. They drop you off at a Metro stop 15 stops from the centre of town. Bordeaux, France - the actual port is called Le Verdonne, and it is 2 1/2 hours by bus each way to get to Bordeaux. Amsterdam, ship docked in Ijmuiden...combination of public bus which runs every 30 minutes, and 2 trams to get to the centre of town total of 1 1/2 hours each way, and here is the good part, $26. Euros per person return trip. Total ripoff.
I’ve said this before, you are one of my favorite cruuuuuuuise channels. You are so animated, and your presentation is nonchalant. Watching your channel is like sitting with your friends and having a drink or two. Larry from Texas
Wow, thank you Larry! Wish the algorithm agreed with you!!! Love to hear positive feedback! It keeps us inspired to keep posting for all of our 1’s of fans!!!💖🙏🏼💖
This was so enlightening. I've only been to three ports, Nassau and Port Canaveral and Port Everglades (that was over 25 years ago though). Anyway, I had no idea ports were supposed to be nice! Good to know...
YES...Cocoa Beach, great town. we visit there a lot and cruised from there several times. As an embarkation port it was great Our first cruise from there the hotel had cruise parking and shuttle which was nice. The next trip we parked at the port short walk to check in and ship, easy peasy. We also cruised in and out of Nassau since the rebuild and it was nice. It is near a lot of shops if that's what you're looking for. We were staying at Atlantis for the week after our cruise so visiting port shops wasn't on our list.
Thinking about my first post. I have never camt to Port Canaveral as a passenger I have only cruised from there I would have to agree nothing to do at the port. As a departure port it is great easy to get around parking is great as are the terminals
@@victorjones2289 it’s the same with the NY ports, especially Brooklyn. So easy to leave from. Cab ride to the port…..but just warehouses nearby. I don’t think there are that many stops in Brooklyn though, NY ships always stop in Port Canaveral so it would be nice if they dressed it up for visitors.
Thank you so much Lori!!!! At least we are inching our way up with the subscribers. We got 3 amazing cruises coming up to share with everyone so hopefully that will give us an edge!!!!
Kusadasi was not our fave and we agree about the agressive sellers but the boardwalk walkway and beach area edged out some of the other ones. We also forgot to mention the actual port in Costa Rica (because we loved our Costa Rica excursion) which was just cement and then nothing.
… I hate to tell you this, but there are plenty of Ports like that around the world. Buenos Argentina, Santiago Chile, Southampton UK,Weymouth UK, Monteviedo Uruguay, and many more… Many cases you can’t even leave the port unless you’re on a bus because it’s an active working port for transport of goods with cranes, etc. That’s just a fact of life around the globe. The Caribbean is a myopic view of port around the world.
I’m sure there are many ports like that and it’s good to know which ones specifically which is why we made this video from our limited cruise experience.
If I was gonna take a cruise in 2022 I would find this information important. Did you suddenly feel like you had to make a podcast with antique information? And the mannerisms are very Childish. Too much hand dancing and face puckering.

I live near the port and a few ships do port of call here. Stupid

I would say Ocho Rios. I did an excursion that was good but there was nothing at the port
There was a lot at that port when we were there! How long ago were you there?

Ports don’t always have to be perfect but it’s good to know if they are good or bad so you can play to take an excursion or just hang around.
Port Canaveral 5 minute Uber and your at a beautiful beach. Not sure why you would book a cruise stopping there

A lot of cruises stop there from NYC. We’ve done the KENNEDY SPACE CENTER in the past and had a blast. Just wish the actual port was more fun.

Agree about Limassol. Nothing to see there. Good information.
Thank you!
Really did not like Kusadasi the aggressive sellers in the area you had to walk through to get back to the ship were a turn off

City was lovely, port area not so much! @@shelleylarose
Wow. We will make sure we book excursions at these ports.
Definitely!!!
I’m can’t imagine you’d go to Barbados and not go to the beaches lol.
We messed up!

Top-notch editing on this vid! Really liked this one.
Thank you so much! You know I try!
Good info to know!
Of course! Thank you for watching!
Great videos my friends
Thank you kindly!!!🙏🏼💖🙏🏼
I am sure the people in Nassau are still shady even after the refurbishment of the port.
Oh dear!!!!
Agreed!!!!!!!!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Good job!
Thank you so much!!!!
My vote goes to Montego Bay Jamaica. Unless you have an excursion it's a real stinker...IMHO.
We’ve been to Jamaica but never Montego Bay. The ports we were at were fine! (Ochos Rios and Falmouth)
Freeport is bad

Yes! I have been there before (Laurie) but it wasn’t with Gary do we didn’t add it to the list.
The best intro ever😂
Well thank you so much!!!!
These look awful!
