How long does it take to charge on the electricity itself....if it is completed dead will it take long to charge on the electricity... cuz I bought one for 150.00 it was charging ok on the electricity it takes a while , but I've just notice that it is charging a little slow .I plugged it in around 8.30 am and it shows only 2 blue bars Is there a problem with this thing?🇱🇨🇱🇨
It cost you $150?! That's way too much. I hope you mean $15. Anyway, the charging time depends on the Wattage power of your charger. The higher the charger the faster anywhere from 45min to 1.5hrs.@@vickycompton9578
Actually the difference can be tremendous as most modern windows are specifically designed to filter the sun and therefore drastically reducing useful input to the solar panel. Sadly sir, you used a lot of valuable time with no useful result other than to show trying to charge this through your window is beyond useless. I own one of theses units and even in a sunny day in Arizona, no good. Perhaps now that you have data through the window, what would you think of repeating your experiment setting the device up to receive raw, unfiltered sunlight for comparison? That would be very interesting. @@Moondog2A
I have had a few of these power banks but never really relied on the solar part. After spending the day at the beach once trying to charge it, I decided not to waste time solar charging. but they are definitely good to have . The will charge a phone 2 or 3 times when they are full
It would charge faster outside in direct sunlight. But I wanted to test and see how it works in a windowsill where most people could conveniently place it in a house or apartment. Thanks for watching! Don't forget to subscribe to my channel.
Didn't buy those fold out. I'm sure they would work better because charge rate is entirely depends on the panel size and effeciency. Hope you subscribed.
Modern UV coated windows are better at this than older windows like mine (1980's vintage). But in my tests, the difference in current inside vs outside is minor. Later this summer, I plan on redoing this test with it outside to answer these comments. Subscribe and you'll be notified with I post that.
The solar charging part is thoroughly unimpressive. What I'd like to know is if it really holds 10,000 mah.... I will say the Qi wireless charging does seem to work pretty well, however wireless charging is not nearly as efficient as corded charging. If this is really meant to be survivalist gear of any sort, I wouldn't think that solar and wireless charging would go together at all.
HILARIOUS I laughed so hard, especially when you said another 10 days to get another bar 😂 7 years ago I bought a similar one cannot recall the brand name but it half the price and it actually charged inside at at night with regular lights on. It actually charged 2 percent every 2 minutes was amazing. Now I buy this one it cost me twice as much about $65. Mine is the exact same design as yours only difference is mine has Powertech written on it 😳 Is this proof of some scam???
Probably the same. Most Chinese factories make generic products that dozens and even hundreds of other brands buy and have them put their logo on the box (sometimes they don't even bother putting a logo on the box).
I’ve placed another one of their models (with 4 solar panels) in my garden for an entire day under a blue sky with a UV index peak of 7, and it barely even gets past 1 LED.

That's a crazy expensive. You can get these on Amazon for less than $20. Can you return the one you bought and buy it cheaper?@@vickycompton9578
Behind glass reduces the panel efficienciy.
True. But not by that much.

Greatly reduces

I didn't really count on the small panel but I was shocked at how long it actually took to charge it.
Great video, it really takes dedication to do anything for a month
Thanks. Took more than 3 months actually.
He's full of crap ,took 4 hours to fully charge mine
Have you tried moving the charger somewhere else?

Open glass not close window
How many days do you think it will take?
Did you do a comparison with the model that folds out with four panels?
Didn't buy those fold out. I'm sure they would work better because charge rate is entirely depends on the panel size and effeciency. Hope you subscribed.
The window glass blocks most of the sun radiation on my windows . It would work better in direct sunlight (or outside

Don’t worry you will have a full battery by 2024
It sure feels that way. Happy Christmas.
Wonder if he’s got a full battery yet 🤔
@@NickyD626 probably not 🤣
Wish I would have watched this before I purchased mine.
It still works at a powerbank. Just don't expect to recharge it using solar.
Me too
Sorry but using a solar panel behind a window is a waste of time.
Windows reduce some but not a significant portion of solar radiation. Especially my 50year old house windows which are not UV coated.
I’ve placed another one of their models (with 4 solar panels) in my garden for an entire day under a blue sky with a UV index peak of 7, and it barely even gets past 1 LED.
It may be slow but you’re still charging with the sun which is pretty spiffy
I recommend buying a separate tri-fold mini solar panel and any 10,000mAh power bank.
Very helpful! thank you
Glad it was helpful! Hope you subscribe.
I a cheaper version of this this video makes me feel better. There are fold out versions of this thing
More panels are required to get any decent charging power. Hope you subscribe.
Thanks for the honest review, that solar charging is a joke
Certainly putting a panel this small on a battery is at best a trickle/top-off charge.
Less than 4 hours to fully charge mine.
You're lucky. I've kept mine outside for over a year now and it's still only showing 1/2 charge.
@@MoondogReviews did you take the plastic off?
@@robd6337 Of course. First thing after taking it out of the box.
what did you expect? it's a $20 unit, which includes the solar panel.
How many days do you think it took?
شكرا على المجهود الرائع
Should have watched this before I bought the damn thing
Sorry to hear that. It's an ok powerbank but the power cell on it is more of a "nice idea"
Open the window no glass
I've tried it outside. No detectable difference in charging rate over 7 days.
This power bank suks beyond measure.
Agreed. But there is a measure: over 130 days in fact.
Lose that stupid, annoying music
What did you say? I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of this sweet music.
