    In this video we explore the original 1936 recording of Robert Johnson's song Kind Hearted Woman. This version has a lot of incredible character that has been diluted over the years. While other popular versions of his song are fantastic, I hope this step-by-step walk through shows you just why nobody out there plays Kind Hearted Woman quite like he did.

    What a great lesson. I like the way you explain what he’s doing without sucking all the fun out of it. Clapton when asked how good RJ was said he feels like he needs another player with him to do them justice and the stuff he did with the vocals going in opposite to the chords is far out

    Just a wonderful lesson. Nice tabs! Late at night and early on in the day I'm fooling with Robt. Johnson's influences, so timeless! To hear you clear those harmonies up and explain the alternate timing then I play them on mine today... I sit and listen to my guitar singing back a little time in the room with Mr. Johnson and you! This was fun... thanks Kyle!

      Dude! So my original idea for the tab was just to put "swing feel" at the top, but the amazing this about RJ is ability to go from straight to swung, measure to measure. So good! But yes, to your point, that would probably be the best way to put it. Thanks!

    Kyle I been playing for 5 years 90,% acoustic I'm recently started to try finger style. Is your patreon a good place for a beginner or would it be to advanced for me. I struggling with this style and I've searched online but can't find the way for me ...I thought I would ask, thank you

    • @kostringworks
      @kostringworks  10 місяців тому +2

      Hey Roger, to be perfectly frank, it’s probably more geared for the advanced, or for people looking for new insights. The main bulk of the content is tabs for my UA-cam videos and sharing history about rare records.
      That said! My big goal for the year is to offer an intro course to fingerstyle, geared toward the beginner/intermediate. And I wanna make it free. Soooo, look for that! As it develops I’ll share it here on UA-cam in videos.
