I 've just bought one of your CDs and will have to decide on a TAB to start with ... hard to chose when one has so many great songs!. I imagine your lessons, music and my optimism will somehow improve my guitar playing. All the best, ilie.
Cold arrival?? ;) I gotta say, I've always wanted get great at this kind of style, And i was making headway before just from watching and listening to some songs, but these lessons have really helped immensely. I hope these keep coming!!
LOVED hearing you talk Maneli. Thanks for the exercise. VERY pretty guitar and I'm really gonna work on this technique. I like the way you define the beat with the technique.
Thanks man, glad it helped out. I would suggest you do it pure acoustic, no amps so you get a feel of how much pressure you need to push into the fretboard / body of the guitar. Possible on any guitar - big or small :)
Yes man, a very clear explain, its not so easy to play, hahah.. but i try. You're great guitarrist and very sympatic, thats all what the world need! Best wishes from german Reini
Hello Maneli. Must say that this is a GREAT lesson and I've been practising it since 2 hours :) I have divided left and right hand movements into seperate exercises, no problem doing them seperately (in fact, they are simple when you do them seperately :) but when I try to combine them its an epic fail :) Any technique or suggestion how to practise this or should I just keep trying to do it right?
Wow man! That's great!!! Thanks for the lesson, I always wanted to learn it and I've never had someone to teach me like this! You're a great teacher! Do I have to plug my guitar into a amp? Or I can do it without my amp? Is it possible to do it with nylon strings guitars? Thank you for this good lesson and sorry for any English mistakes. I'm from Brazil and I'm a little rusty.
Yeah there are harmonics everywhere on the guitar not just 7th and 12th fret. If you have a really good acoustic guitar with vivid overtones you can hear them on all frets.
Thanxx for uploading an awesome lesson. Are there any other chords or notes on standard tuning...which would give kinda pleasant n fuller sound with the same exercise?
really cool video I have managed everything except i cant seem to do the percussive hit my fingers get caught in the strings or I end up hitting it with my fingers not my nails I wondered if Iam doing something wrong or should I just keep at it until I get it would really appreciate a reply thanks man keep up the cool videos
Haha I don't have any video lessons with the traditional approach yet. These lessons are for beginners who want to get into the tapping / percussive style of acoustic guitar.
Aoitsuna Set a beat feel out the a 4 beat measure. Then figure out how to count to three so that is starts and ends at the same time as the 4 beat measure.
Maneli Jamal Well, Yea... '-' Same chord, same time signature, same rythm on the '' bass '', just sayin And sounded really nice, maybe a lesson on this song? It would be a great example for training on acoustics as well, it can be used pretty nicely on this song
Then you work hard to make that retarded guitar sound like a star. I had a shitty guitar for a long time and it made me appreciate that I even had a guitar to begin with.

Hi Nice lesson. What kind of acoustic would you recommend for this percussive style of playing? Acoustic/Electro-Acoustic, body size and shape e.t.c.?
Any full body acoustic will do :)
Hey I really enjoy your videos but what kind of guitar is that? Thanks!!
James Tunsteli Thanks! Its a Cole Clark Triumph
Thanks!!
i need some tips on how to work better with my left hand , the volume of tapping and releasing is too low...
Haha I don't have any video lessons with the traditional approach yet. These lessons are for beginners who want to get into the tapping / percussive style of acoustic guitar.
There are plenty more on my channel :)
Wich strings you use?
I love laptapping but can't do it. I prefer this standard tuning percussive guitar instead. Less chance of string break thanks 👍💯 brother

Have you tried my 1st lesson - Two Hand Tap exercises yet?
Thata boy.
I cant seem to get the thing where you hit your palm on the strings... Anyone can help?
I have problem with feeling the tempo. Can you explain what you mean by counting threes? :)
Aoitsuna Set a beat feel out the a 4 beat measure. Then figure out how to count to three so that is starts and ends at the same time as the 4 beat measure.
