I would argue that training to counter strafe also prepares you for when you play CS. I was so janky trying to learn counterstrafing coming from valorant, I really wish I would have had more practice in it before jumping in. If it really makes no difference, than just counterstrafe to prepare yourself mentally better for any game.

True. I do think it's a bit easier to learn strafing when you counter tap though since you know exactly when you're stopping when you press the key and can instantly strafe in the other direction back and forth.

@@walkingtree2486don't know why this attitude between the two playerbases exists, they are very similar and free to play, I think every CS player should try Valorant and every Valorant player should try CS. I ended up liking both games and have the option to switch around if I'm bored from either.
Edit: Also having both games popular is beneficial to the players, introducing competition between the games incentivises both Riot and Valve to update and improve their games, source 2 probably wouldn't have come out so soon if Valorant never existed.

The only difference between Iron-Silver is aim which is impacted slightly by coaching because they do not understand the game at all. only after silver do people START getting to know the fundamentals. Diamond is where you basically know the fundamentals, all of them, yet immortal 1 is where you can say you've mastered most if not all of them. Anything after that is just knowledge of the game/aim. I know I’ve done it a few times cause why not but it’s not something I regularly do maybe 1/1100 peaks is a counter strafe just pick one and be consistent with which one you do

I think one of the things you could improve on is most of your peeks are instantly tradable, in lower elo peeking in those 'open angles' are extremely forgiving but in higher elo, you'd find yourself almost everytime getting traded by the angle youre taking now.
1 kill is good but 1-1 wont mean much if the situation isnt in your favour.
You should also look into 'Contact plays' it may not be effective in low elo ranked games but trust me it does wonders in higher rank plays.

Just wanna throw this out there counter strafe in Val and justting letting go of the movement key is basically so identical in game that there is a minimal differences between the two. If I had to "correct" anything, it would just be that counterstrafing doesn't really allow you to shoot accurately faster, atleast when discussing hypothetical vs reality. People have essentially calculated the difference for stopping vs counterstrafing, and it comes out to around 15 ms. Considering it takes humans roughly 150-300 ms just to react to visual stimuli, realistically, you will never be affected by that 15 ms difference. At 60 fps, this equates to roughly 1 frame, and while many people may think 1 frame is alot, it is actually quite miniscule when you realize the only time it would have affected the outcome is when both players have the exact same reaction time and see each other at the same moment, have the same gun, take the same amount of time to line up a shot, but one happens to stop by letting go while the other stops by counterstrafing. Counterstrafing is simply a habit of CSGO because of momentum and is so neglible that there are many radiant players who stop by letting go of their movement key rather than counterstrafing. While deadzoning becomes more and more necessary as you rank up, counterstrafing does not.

Don't counter strafe. Most pros do not recommend it and neither do i. jiggle instead its easier and basically the same except you don't cancel your movement you just let go of the movement key. I don't recommend it because its too much to think and worry about in game and spraying is an instant counter to it.

Aim training teaches you how to move your mouse accurately, but good mechanics are all about moving your mouse as little as possible in order to get a kill without exposing yourself. Very counterintuitive.

Counter strafing is not a thing in Valorant. You don't cancel anything compared to simply releasing the movement button.
