- This is a beginner friendly sew along video that gives detailed description on how to sew together New Look 6708, View B. This is a very cute summer top that I hope you enjoy as much as I do. There are a few notions that I missed putting in the video, but if you check your pattern envelope, you will see that you need a 3/8" button, single fold bias tape, and 1/4" wide elastic.
Here is the link for the Heat Erasable Pens mentioned in this video: amzn.to/3wL2744

You did a fantastic job with this tutorial. It was so easy to follow, and I learned several new skills, especially the way you did the gathering and button placement. I hope this will not be your last tutorial. Thanks again.

Martika, this is a beautiful top! I am normally not an orange lover of color, but I have been drawn to orange lately, and it really, really looks great on you. Great sew along.

Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
This is the best sewing tutorial I’ve seen on UA-cam for beginners. I learned so much! The gathering stitches, putting the bias tape on the neckline…. I did have a question. When you did the stay stitching along the neckline, you sewed one side on the right side of the fabric and the other side on the wrong side. Is there a reason for this or does it just not matter? New subscriber and I hope you’ll do more of these tutorials! Thank you!
Hi! Thank you so much for subscribing and it won't be my last! I flipped the fabric over because I was sewing the stay-stitch starting from the center. This was to keep it at the right measurement.
Looks lovely. And a really good tutorial- thank you. How difficult would it be to make the neckline a bit lower - more of a scoop? Thanks
Thank you so much! I do think it would be difficult to adjust the neckline at all. I actually wouldn’t mind it being a little lower in the front myself.
The back and front on the pattern pieces is 3/8 seam allowance That mean you sew around the sleeves 3/8 then 1/4
This is a fabulous tutorial thank you so much! And where did you get this gorgeous fabric from?
Thank you so much! I got I from my daughter’s stash of remnants.
@@martikajmakes where did she get it from?!😁😆
@@SherBear88 She doesn’t remember.
I don't think you gave the pattern number or company. would you give that info because I really like the blouse and you did such a beautiful job of teaching how to sew it.
@@pamelalc63 I did at the beginning of the video and it’s also in the title.
You should turn off the music we want to hear the sewing machine
I choose to keep the music. Thank you!
