Within a few miles to Göbekli Tepe, a one-hundred-metre (300 ft) long sloping tunnel has been carved out of solid bedrock at another unexcavated and very ancient Taş Tepeler site in Southeast Turkiye. No one knows who did it, or why. Locals say it there is a spring here and may have been used to collect water. Others say it has carvings in it. Is it from 12,000 years ago, or did the Romans do it? Why is it oriented north-south? Does it have astronomical significance? Hugh Newman and Andrew Collins investigate this secret sloping tunnel for the first time, that has been hidden from the public (with full permission from the landowners). Features part of an interview with Hugh by ‪@stargate_voyager‬ which can be viewed in full here: • Strange Mysteries of T... .

Is there a clearly defined stone floor that you can find? Something with evident pick marks? I ask because the visible section resembles the flat-top coffin shape of a hand cut mine such as you would find in old roman mines. However, in those old mines the flat-top coffin shape of the upper part of the tunnel was just wide enough to allow for a man to cut with a pick/chisel and then proceed with clearance for his shoulders. If this tunnel is a mine, with classic construction technique it would mean that the miners either tripled the width of the mine for some inefficient reason, or the shoulders of the miners would three times wider than a man's. The actual depth of the tunnel(minus all the debris), would also be approximately 3-4 times the depth of a traditional mine, with a narrowing at the base. At the 11:30 mark, you can see extremely long horizontal cuts on the stone, indicating a very large tool.

I think that tunnel was deliberately filled in. The walls and ceiling are in pristine condition with no signs of collapse. If all that debris fell in from the opening the entrance would be massive. The amount of work it must of took to carve a tunnel through solid stone like this is unreal.

You call it bed rock. But that covers a wide range of stone types from sand stone (easy to carve) to granite or basalt or metamorphic rock. Need some clue of its hardness.
I don't understand why so many of these things say "we only have a few minutes so we have to work fast, Hope we have enough time to get x,y,z" Why don't you guys plan better? You have been to the site before, should have brought some tools and laborers to dig down a small hole to at least see the floor.

Doesn't look like water carried rubble to me, if that was the case walls would show scratches and rock would be rounded for that kind of volume. Looks more like quaried rock carried in with the intent to seal it off like the tepe sites. With a roof it would be hard to fully fill and some settlement would take place with loose rock over time. Further work needs done.

If it’s a mine, then the roof and arches are remarkably well finished. The water mine idea is interesting, reminiscent of the long range water carrying tunnels and channels into Istanbul. Doesn’t really fit though - it just goes down at a walkable slope. The north south alignment needs checking and if confirmed, is a big question.
Still more likely to be Roman or medieval but when you’ve got local villages with 12000 year old statues in basements it *could* be vastly older.

Sound and frequency technology, because of those dimensions reduced in steps. Very old Phonon technology like many other megalithic structures. Quote from Wikipedia, Phonon: "The study of phonons is an important part of condensed matter physics. They play a major role in many of the physical properties of condensed matter systems, such as thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, as well as in models of neutron scattering and related effects.
The concept of phonons was introduced in 1932 by Soviet physicist Igor Tamm. The name phonon comes from the Greek word φωνή (phonē), which translates to sound or voice, because long-wavelength phonons give rise to sound. The name is analogous to the word photon representing wave-particle duality for sound waves."

I believe that there are much more important, powerful reasons for these structures having being created, used for a time and then hidden away again.
My own belief is that Gobekli and Karahan
Tepe have to do with the repopulating of the planet with all the different types of creatures after a great catastrophe virtually wiped every type of land dwelling creature off the face of the planet.
A kind of ancient underground laboratory if you like, from whence they rebred and repopulated all the world's animals. If Noah's ark (which apparently also landed in Turkey) was real, then think about it . . afterwards there would have to have been a sacred safe environment like this where breeding programs could be conducted and controlled. It would then make sense as to why the whole place was covered up and hidden away again afterwards. Perhaps the T-pillers represented different land masses or regions all around the world. Those many important looking carved 'handbags' could represent that these contained the very essential sperm or DNA of all the different endangered species.
I also believe that the WEF are well aware of the true relevance of Gobekli and are literally trying to bury the truth again by not allowing archaeologists have access to dig the remainder of the site, that's why I'm going to repost this message on every Gobekli Tepe related video I can find.
You can call me mad or whatever you want, don't care.
May the Lord God bless you all, His truth shall be revealed.

I’ll be interested when you can afford proper lighting for videoing, I’m not impressed with how many times you can say “wow” or “this is unbelievable”.

5:56 those are the impressions of bricks showing through the stucco...
That "cave" was probably above ground when it was built...
Do some archaeology get the shovels out...

I’ve been exploring the area between Yogunburç and Sayburç using copper dowsing rods with wooden handles, they seem to work better than the copper coming in direct contact with hands, and have found quite a few meteorites. Was there a known Meteor Impact in this area?

I wish this could easily be cleared out to see the floors. It’s just too big for traditional known Roman usage. Hhhmmm…

    It's a Templar cave.
The hole is for a plain fire, and it looks like a Fleur symbol.
Need to go down to floor level and move forward.
    This leads to somewhere BIG!!

Thanks Megalithomania this is amazing, Don’t understand why there is so much debris on the floor, the roof and walls don’t look like the crumbling?

That square you pointed out. Right there, from an angle, hieroglyphics of some sort. The bird was very clear. And lines delineating text were not uncommon

If that’s 12,000 years old I’d ask it’s curators permission to excavate it’s deepest area after hazmat suits are on and digging deep could reveal any DNA left behind. I think an armoury for storing weapons out of sight as my prediction. Really exciting find and potentially others could be possible on the opposite side are possible so not to rely on on source of arms for protection, like clear across the other side of the valley if they are unable to reach this point. Least possibilities have to do with storage of the gathered crops as the Greeks are know to do. Still an incredible sight.

Amazing discovery. It would be a monumental task, but I have to wonder what is below the rubble? All the best to you and your work. Thank you.

Is there any evidence of a local Roman garrison ? The extended cave would be ideal for the initiations into the cult of Mithras .......

Looks like it needs a whole school full of Archaeology students, to dig that place out? but that's what's needed?
excavate all those stones and ruble from the floor, and I'm willing to bet, the purpose for it, becomes clear

it looks Acoustical, I imagine each ridge as a sound blocker, inward sound would reflect and block itself, outward sound would flow without returning like an echo, basicly it wont echo in either direction. I guess. kinda like a Tesla Valve, with the flow of sound instead of water.

That small niche inside on the side of entrance could have been for a guard or guarding dog or other animal. That's my feeling about it...
The guard could hide there and anybody entering the dark in first moment would not see the niche and the guard in it entering deeper, and then the guard/dog would stand behind them creating "black" intimidating figure that would have upper hand for any combat or whatever purpose they would intend... Spiritual or just robbing the goods the entering person/s might have had with him/them...

Tepi was filled with rubble as well. Very modern arch shape ahead of Roman tech. Whoever built it wanted to hide it for a long period like Tepi sites. Even may have served as a deep shelter during the destruction it was used to survive. The cuttouts have slat holes for shelves. Looks like a modern fallout bunker. Need to cleen out the rubble and screen it, could atleast be able to date the filling and perhaps find more artifacts. Hasmat suits should be worn with new sites as old viruses may be preserved, suspected to explain some pharaoh's curse deaths.

Where exactly is this tunnel? Can we visit it? I went to the Çayönü site only to find out that it is closed to visitors. I wish you would provide these details in your videos too.

Lighting is very very poor, like some horror film. It is difficult to see and appreciate the grandeur of the place. Since yours is the first video on this tunnel, show also the ground condition not just the walls and ceiling. I noted that rocks on the ground are different from the rock type of the wall.
