It's amazing that so much emotion can originate from simply rubbing a couple strings together. This is simple piece of music but so beautiful. Its a perfect piece to listen to when trying to wind yourself down from the hyper-paced world we live in now.
Thank you... Dear...dear Max Richter✨❤✨🙏 for capturing the loneliness of the world in this exquisite beautiful music and.. in the images. And in the same time making me realise the sacredness of the true Love we really are and the deepest compassion.. ✨🙏✨💖
Saw him live at the Barbican. And I the entire audience was in a trance and the experience was almost hypnotic, but ethereal and beautiful. Thank you Max, we're lucky to have a composer with genuinely fantastic perspective on music in our generation.
In this very moment of humanity, this wonderful music has much of what is going on in us, and what will be marked in us. What will remain, in triumph and also in guilt. A big hug from Brazil.
Hi mister Richter. Your music helps me to find peace. There are still beautiful things in this cruel world. So i came here to say thank you before i left. Goodbye.
This song feels like you spent years on planning revenge on someone but forgive them at the last moment. And the other person has no idea that you planned revenge and forgave them. You are just sitting in complete solidarity, happy that you chose peace over destruction, but sad that you wasted years on such futile thing. All these emotions in your head with no one around to comprehend that. And at such time, this music whispers in your ears, "You did the right thing, now rest."
Great bit of creativity from you there in your comment. It made me a bit sad that the revenge plan didn't get used though, it might have been spectacular!
@@benzone-bysarthakrana8560 I cycled past a cathedral in London and thought to stop and have a look on a Tuesday morning. their was a four man choir practicing in a side hall, and I sat and listened. there we only a couple of other people there. the music was so calming but powerful and meditative and a guy watching sat looking very emotional, lost, confused, sad, hopeful, desperate. He looked like a gangster from Albania, though just my guess. he looked life he'd likely killed or beaten someone very recently, and it was amazing to see him experiencing the music so cathartically.
This is so beautiful. It's repetitive but you never get "tired" of it, (ironically, because it's supposed to make you sleep. It is really relaxing. And beautiful max Richter is one of the best composers.
In this world only few people have blessed with such a talent and no doubt Max Ritcher is one of them, seriously his music gives so much depth only who feels can understand the pain and sour

Max, your music has helped me navigate deep grief, illness, great happiness, future hope, and much more. As of now, this song just calmed my dog, who is terrified of fireworks, and helped her sleep. She is also quite appreciative, as I play your music often around her. Thank you and Happy New Year to you and your family!
This song just touches the deepest inner part of my soul! Brings tears in my eyes! Lets me think back to things in my life that I've done and regret. Wrong decisions I made, things I could have done in a different way and never made it right! 😢 😢 😭 Thanks for this brilliant song Max Richter. My absolute favourite.
Just imagine, at the start of this piece, was a crying baby, exhausted by the world around him. As the music progresses, the baby stopped crying, with only wet cheeks and a relaxed face. As the music reached the cello part, the baby's eyes started to drop down, but he's doing his best to stay awake. He started having relaxed thoughts and surrendered to his own sleepiness. When the music finally reached it's ending, the baby was already snoring, not bothering the horrible things that was offered by this cruel world. The baby was in a calm state and he was finally laid to rest. And no, this is not based on a true story. Just carry on, enjoy this beautiful musical piece.

“Even now, all possible feelings do not yet exist, there are still those that lie beyond our capacity and our imagination. From time to time, when a piece of music no one has ever written or a painting no one has ever painted, or something else impossible to predict, fathom or yet describe takes place, a new feeling enters the world. And then, for the millionth time in the history of feeling, the heart surges and absorbs the impact.” Nicole Krauss, The History of Love
A touching tribute to feelings often felt but rarely expressed. Thank you Max Richter for giving us permission to express them in private moments like this listening to your delicately crafted music.💗
Max Richter's music always makes me feel some pretty complex emotions when I listen to his music. You can't help but to be swept away by the tone of each piece. It submerges you in a blanket of emotions and memories. It's hard to truely describe... This song makes me feel both happy and sad. Like I'm recalling the good memories of someone dear to me who has passed. Glad I found some of his music on my phone that I bought a while ago. It reminded me of how much I enjoy listening to his music.
I heard this piece and the composer talking about music on Radio 3 this afternoon - driving and was completely taken aback by this: beautiful, eerie, and consoling.
Oh they should. I love playing stuff like that when driving at night. The city lights flash by, maybe a light rain falls. The melancholy and loneliness of these moments are so grand an deep, I simply love it. Really an otherworldly experience.
Very beautiful. If you like this then you might like Arvo Pärt - 'Spiegel im Spiegel', 'Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten', 'Fratres' and 'Summa'. Also Harold Budd and Brian Eno's 'The Pearl'.
Max Richter, you are a present day musical giant. Your work always touches on the sublime in the most elegant way. Thank you for all the good work you do 🙏🌹
understand what you wrote, but "grabbing" anything does not lead to peace. Let it flow into and through you and will find peace and it will be able to stay.
Memories The only thing that can be pleasant and unpleasant at the same. You remember the smiles, the smells, the laughs, the cries, and all the moments you have gone through, yet you feel it’s part of you that was lost and never to come back. A piece of you left in the past that will fade into nothing. So many people have their memories forgotten. So many moments left alone. We create memories that are deemed to be lost in the void. Memories fade into a forever endless pit to rest there alone.
You are a TRUE wonder Max. Thank you for your mesmerizing compositions. They are timeless and breathtaking. I always feel like my soul is wandering across the universes listening to your pieces, just ascending into different dimensions 🌑🦋
What I like the most about Max Richter’s compositions is that they are simply, not to say primitive, they almost all contain a repetitive motif, nevertheless, it’s kind of magic in them that doesn’t allow you to stop to listen to them. I just seat enchanted and can’t even move.
Music is the only thing that has become limitless, it can be used to motivate and inspire those who are hurting, those who are waiting patiently for their time to shine, those who are lost and those who are found. I often listen to Max's music as it allows me to escape reality; to a certain extend it allows me to view the world and leave the rat-race behind. Just for these brief moments is where I and freed from all anxieties and societal pressures - Something I do not often get to feel, or as of lately I do not. Just something I have thought about for the past few years.
Fantastisches Seelennahrungsvideo, Danke. Perfekte Kombinationen von Licht,Schatten und flüchtiger Zeit. Ein Hochgenuss! Im Schattenwurf von rechts des Mondes ist eine Art "Gesicht" zu erkennen.
It’s very comforting when we realize as well there’s only the now. The ego is what convinced us of individuality and holding onto experiences that no longer exist it’s all temporary. But we are eternal loving beings. So actually nothing is lost. We just keep re-remembering and waking up. It’s part of the nature of karma
@@r3b3lvegan89 The ego has convinced us of the wrong individuality. But a character that is built through the soul has the right individuality in a person's character. That is the true individuality of a person. It is correct that experiences pass. But the problem is not that the experiences pass. We hold on to it but the problem is that the true values that represent the soul have been lost in society and in individuals. And that makes us sad and hopeless and that's a good thing. As long as the true values of the soul are not integrated into society, the world will be a dark, sad place. Realizing and feeling this is already Part of the solution.
@@r3b3lvegan89 Because we can't have up without down, negative without positive, or crest without troughs. The refreshment instantly sparks when we realize nothing is everything, we are everything, and then final experience of absolute "unwordable wonders" is the face of motion and it's wonderful array of illusion. But if the prior to the just recent sentence is true then all illusion is reality. Wait... So everything is nothing, illusions are reality, and everything you can imagine is everything you say it is. Oh, therefore being cautious of how we define things is the ultimate understanding of what it means to be happy. All this time we had it all and yet desired for it, never finding it, and why? Because you are it. :-) Appreciate you!
It's the last night. The clouds tell me this as they move across the sky. I look up through lace curtains that have been here for so long. I feel I knew them in childhood. Now they stir gently in the breeze. It's like a resuscitated dream that feels familiar, yet lies outside all time. I feel a bit unsure. Not scared... I actually welcome it. Come in. Lie next to me. Let's look at all those stars behind the skittish clouds. And as we do, tell me everything you need to say. Tell me that you're going to be okay. Tell me that we'll meet again, that we won't have any reasons for regret.

It's amazing that so much emotion can originate from simply rubbing a couple strings together. This is simple piece of music but so beautiful. Its a perfect piece to listen to when trying to wind yourself down from the hyper-paced world we live in now.
Well put. That's exactly what I use it for and am now in love with the music.
The reason is, music works on a certain type of neurons in our brain that nothing else can activate. Nothing... That's why it's so special and magic
max richter is a genius of melancholy and sensitivity.
Thank you Max, we're lucky to have a composer with genuinely fantastic perspective on music in our generation.
true enough, his music is really a calming delight
Was at 24th january 2014?
love going to the barbican.. didn't know this music then, it was a nice 20mins bike ride from my old home. Would've loved to have been there
Loss and heart ache are unkind but great teachers. May your losses make your triumphs that much sweeter.
" I have a dream " and pray for a realisation of what we all have to do
This music is so powerful, I feel it in my soul and cry.
In this very moment of humanity, this wonderful music has much of what is going on in us, and what will be marked in us. What will remain, in triumph and also in guilt. A big hug from Brazil.
In the midst of everything... in the midst of chaos is this deep reverberation.. of calm. Thank you.
Find peace and solace in Christ. For He is there to comfort you.
@@InChristJesus87 not likely will stick with music thanks.
Hi mister Richter. Your music helps me to find peace. There are still beautiful things in this cruel world.
So i came here to say thank you before i left.
Goodbye.
❤
This song feels like you spent years on planning revenge on someone but forgive them at the last moment. And the other person has no idea that you planned revenge and forgave them.
You are just sitting in complete solidarity, happy that you chose peace over destruction, but sad that you wasted years on such futile thing. All these emotions in your head with no one around to comprehend that.
And at such time, this music whispers in your ears, "You did the right thing, now rest."
Great bit of creativity from you there in your comment. It made me a bit sad that the revenge plan didn't get used though, it might have been spectacular!
@@subspaceanomaly the story went from David Fincher to Akira Kurosawa real quick 😂
Oooh. I like that. Yeah, I think you're right.
I want this to be the soundtrack for when I take my journey from the world to the next.
Yes, me too.

Discovering Max Richter is one the best things happen to me recently on UA-cam
Moon, with your pale glowing face
look down on me tonight as I dream
Grant me the peace and serenity of a child
as I drift along the Milky Way's stream
Let my fingers brush the stars
and let a comet's warmth tease my heart
I'll hide my face among the clouds
only to drift in the emptiness of space, the dark
Cast out your light, soft as it may
and guide me to through the galaxies
let me find a place among your silence
a place where I can rest, where I am free
Goodnight dear Moon
and bright stars above
thank you for your glow tonight
and your gentle, sleepy love

An absolute work of art
Max, your music has helped me navigate deep grief, illness, great happiness, future hope, and much more. As of now, this song just calmed my dog, who is terrified of fireworks, and helped her sleep. She is also quite appreciative, as I play your music often around her. Thank you and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Max Richter allows us to commune with our souls and provides us with a healing soundtrack.
This song is like listening to gentle breathing... it has a heartbeat
The most accurate comment ever posted on youtube.
As much as i havent accomplished and failed miserably, i know 1 thing best; ive accomplished an amazing taste in music. Thank you
So Simple ...it's all about the space between each note, tone and melody.. a true masterpiece
Musically so simple..then the chosen visuals kick in, in tandem..then kaboom . Amazing art. 👏
This song just touches the deepest inner part of my soul! Brings tears in my eyes! Lets me think back to things in my life that I've done and regret. Wrong decisions I made, things I could have done in a different way and never made it right! 😢 😢 😭
Thanks for this brilliant song Max Richter.

Beautiful, breathtaking, serene and gorgeous like all of your music. Stunned.

A touching tribute to feelings often felt but rarely expressed. Thank you Max Richter for giving us permission to express them in private moments like this listening to your delicately crafted music.💗
Your music made me think , cry and feel alive again, thank you too much ❤️😥
Max Richter's music always makes me feel some pretty complex emotions when I listen to his music.
+Christopher Dandeker Me too!
they shouldn't really play this stuff during drive time!
Why not play it in the car?
Oh they should. I love playing stuff like that when driving at night. The city lights flash by, maybe a light rain falls. The melancholy and loneliness of these moments are so grand an deep, I simply love it. Really an otherworldly experience.
This pièce talks to our soul a give peace and hope
Very beautiful. If you like this then you might like Arvo Pärt - 'Spiegel im Spiegel', 'Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten', 'Fratres' and 'Summa'. Also Harold Budd and Brian Eno's 'The Pearl'.

Memories
The only thing that can be pleasant and unpleasant at the same.
I regret that we have not heard of this composer. His works have a glorious and necessary for human comfort thirsty! Thanks to him!

You are a TRUE wonder Max. Thank you for your mesmerizing compositions. They are timeless and breathtaking. I always feel like my soul is wandering across the universes listening to your pieces, just ascending into different dimensions 🌑🦋
How peaceful
This track on a run in the beach makes it powerful.
No words. Just feelings. ✊
Im a really emotional person and i can feel lots of people's pain they're going through, even if i haven't felt the pain. This is really something.

Fantastisches Seelennahrungsvideo, Danke. Perfekte Kombinationen von Licht,Schatten und flüchtiger Zeit. Ein Hochgenuss! Im Schattenwurf von rechts des Mondes ist eine Art "Gesicht" zu erkennen.
That moment when you finally let go of everything only to realize it was nothing.
:(
It’s very comforting when we realize as well there’s only the now. The ego is what convinced us of individuality and holding onto experiences that no longer exist it’s all temporary. But we are eternal loving beings. So actually nothing is lost. We just keep re-remembering and waking up. It’s part of the nature of karma
@@r3b3lvegan89 The first thing you said is definitely true.

All we can do is just sit and think
I had just broken a nail and this piece soothed me slightly, thanks Max.
Tell me that we'll meet again, that we won't have any reasons for regret.
wow.... you came up with this?? it's beautiful man
