Ricther will be remembered through posterity for writing this masterpiece as the composer of this generation. How will the world look like in a thousand years without this masterpiece?
I so miss the full 8 hour version which, until recently, was available. I've had it on countless times whilst I come and go and work and cook and go shopping and when I come back it's still running. I love watching Grace Davidson's face and the dawn coming up. This is total magic. Thanks to all, especially Max.
I was sharing a house with my Mother at the time (now gone unfortunately, both home and Mum), when I accidently tripped over this performance, live. When she got out of bed for the obligatory morning 'cup of tea', she found me frozen to my lounge chair, tears streaming down my face, with one heavenly smile bigger then my face. A truly moving experience.
Have you heard Dimash Kudaibergen's S.O.S? Until l heard a soprano vocal coach explain (the Fairy Voicemother reaction upload) l thought it was a hoax, or special effects.
I will never understand how someone can be that genius, to write such a masterpiece. You make the world better, Max Richter, and we thank you for that.
A Magisterial and stately work of art. - Grace Davidson's voice is just not from this world. Achingly beautiful and hauntingly celestial. Thank you for this!
This music touches deeply. I was listening to it while floating on a tube in a swimming pool looking up at the sky in the woods. I was fortunately by myself and could completely merge with the music. I cried and laughed and cried again. Have not experienced such deep unlocking of feelings inside of me in a long time. It is truly a masterpiece.
This music has already touched me profoundly and been a useful tool as a soundtrack to smooth moments of perceived challenges in both wakeful and sleepless times. Interesting to observe a performance of interactive artists . I shall always be grateful .
When I heard / felt (?) the (capsule) part I understood what being together no matter how far you are from each other you really are, and means - pure beauty, hurt but love and trust / faith in each other.
Amazing!!!! To me I have a knowledge of music and how we sleep. I it was perfect!!!! I would feel honoured to meet you and your wife. A masterpiece really XXXXX how bless you
Does anyone know if the full version of this is available anywhere, for money, anything? I find the process for how this could be recreated live fascinating. I know about the documentary movie about it but was hoping to see the whole thing somehow. It clearly was recorded if these excerpts exist. Thanks!
You and me both ! For some stupid reason I was awake at the time to watch it live. Changed my life. Tears of Joy. Wish I could get my stupid computer( not me) to find a copy...
That is no mean feat..to miss ones mind. I applaud your dexterity... Listen to Max Richter, and your mind may return, hopefully with all the grace it deserves.
Dang! I truly wish sometimes that I didn’t have such flawlessly accurate relative pitch (notice I didn’t say Perfect Pitch. Very VERY few people actually have That). But Unfortunately as well-trained and professional a singer as Miss Grace surely is…. She Sings Consistently FLAT. Most all singers who have problems with pitch-centering have some sort of physical ailment or another. I certainly can’t diagnose what her condition might be (and I wouldn’t want to even if I could) but it’s Something. I still think Max is a genius though.
@@davepowell7168 Now I am jealous, for all the wrong reasons perhaps. Mind you, a "shady massage", though certainly much needed, would not even come close to the unadulterated Joy of this performance.
...and nobody talks about this singer that keeps that pitch perfectly like a synthesizer.
To pull off an 8 hour non stop concert overnight with such minimalist music while reading it all from a score is a remarkable feat

Someday i'll sleep forever, I just wish I could know that those around me are in a better place.

Gelobt sei Jesus Christus in Ewigkeit, Amen ❤✝️🖐️
that's weird man
Shame about the terrible recording. Every jagged blip is like a poke in the eye.
Very new agey - the kind of music they play in a shop selling crystals and incense.
Shady massage parlours too.
you sound uncultured.
