thats a mean c10..it's come together nice bro
Thank you Leo. I'm finally enjoying it!
I'm loving this 5.3 setup :) thinking about doing a swap with my 85 now. Keep the videos coming man
Thanks Kiefer! Will do man! I'm loving it too man. So much nicer, smoother, more powerful and more efficient then the old SBC.
Love the squealing sound when transmission shifts at 0:48 :)
Single 3 xpipe out to an single magnaflow muffler 2 in 1 out.. thats a tip from supervette. Would make this truck sound nice AGearHead4Life
Thanks KJ! I thought about a different muffler and my do it later on down the road. Felt this Flowmaster would help give it an old and truck sound, but it sounds way different then my last truck because of the long tubes. I've got a few other things that I've got to get first before I can play with the exhaust again.
Very nice truck GH4L I was tempted to go locker myself but ended up going with a eaton truetrac.
Thanks Tyler! Yea, good decision on the Eaton. I welded this rear just to see what it was like. I knew that I would be getting a posi unit within six months. I got to see what it was like and now know that I don't ever want that for a street car again. I wound up going with the same unit as you, an Eaton Truetrac.
Nice to see this finished.
Yes it is. thanks Skandaluzs!
Ok I moved the stock th350 linkage about an inch an was able to use the u shaped thing on the 60e I just don't have 1st gear. So fired it up about 1hour ago and was ready for a drive around the block so put it in reverse and NADA nothing it didn't even move went thru all the gears and it doesn't move i revved it up in gear and still doesn't move at all.
Oh yea! That reminds me, I did shorten the bar that goes across to the trans about an inch on my swap, but with the 80e.
I'd double and tripple check your trans fluid level first. The first time you start it, even though it was full, it will suck the fluid into the trans and will need to be topped off again.
My tcc brake switch purple wire is not hooked up. I jacked up the rear wheels off the ground and and they just bearly move with about 3500 rpms. I'm thinking the filter came off from the transmission being bashed around when the junk yard removed it. I unplugged the tranny cooler lines and turned it on and just a little initial squirt came out, so I'm thinking its not getting pressure because of the filter maybe came off from where it was snapped in. I'm hoping that's what it is, I'll pull the
What does the fluid level look like?
that is one badass truck. keep the videos coming!
+Luis Dejesus Thank you Luis!

Man you drivin one of my dream builds. Either a 70's or mid 80's truck with around 500-600 to the wheels. Nice truck!
Thank you Donnie! Not that much power here, but close to it. I expect about 350hp at the wheels. Perfect for a daily driver in my opinion.
AGearHead4Life Yeah a daily driver does not need 500 hp haha. Just got to your channel so I don't know much about the truck. What exhaust are you running on the truck?
Donnie Buchanan Cool! Welcome to the show!
This truck's exhaust wasn't built only for flow, but more for the sound that I want as a daily driver. Its long tubes, dual 2.25" exhaust through a single 2in/2out Flowmaster muffler. Most don't like the Flowmaster on a LS, but I wanted it to give the old truck sound like my last truck. My last truck had stock manifolds though. This one sounds different with the long tubes.
I'm considering changing to dual 2.5" and another undecided muffler, but that'd be WAY down the road. I've got to many other things on the list ahead of it.
AGearHead4Life Cool! cannot wait to see them
excelente trabajo. hermosa camioneta. saludos hermano desde apodaca nuevo leon mexico.
Thank you Celso!
Your truck is awsome bro, dnt stop posting ur videos...
Thank you banhuevos!
I love the lockers. I got one n malibu .. it hooks good n corners as well.. the posi are cool as well. But that locker is fun
need to wd-40 that gas pedal, i hear alotta squeakin when ur tryin to accelerate
haha! Thanks for the tip. I'll try that out.
I'll pull the pan tomorrow and find out. Please let me know if my theory sounds possible
You should get on our Facebook group page. You'll get answers a lot quicker there and will have many gear heads to share ideas with. "A Gear Head For Life"
Next time you wanna cruise around Harvest hit me up and let me in on the fun.
ChevyShawn HAHA Will do!
I finally got mine running. Put mufflers on it today and it will see some pavement after a little fine tuning.
ChevyShawn Sweet! Congrats! I'll be keeping an eye out for ya.
Thanks it wasnt easy using left over parts but it was kinda fun just seeing a project come back to life with mostly spare parts. About 90 percent of it was stuff I had laying around. Although I will pay for it in the long run when I start putting my Chevelle back together and realize I used up all my stuff on the truck. Lol I think you may know that feeling.
ChevyShawn lol Yep, I know how that feels and I love seeing projects built from spare parts.
Sounds badass
Sound like its running get. I was waiting for the big smokey burnout.
Thanks Jonathan. I do still plan to catch a smokey burnout video. Tires are in the back waiting to get smoked and camer is charged. Just have to get a second camera man, a good spot and a bright day.
Did be your camera man but i live in the Atlanta area
Love the truck man, great vid
Thank you spoogethat!
great vid sounds good
Alright man will do hopefully I don't have to cut like you did since I'm running a 60e. I just got the engine an trans mounted last night still waiting on the headers from summit
I think part of my problem was that i put those 3" V-bands on the end of the collectors. I should have waiting until it was time to run the exhaust and then also used smaller v-bands.
At points when your turning I can hear the tires chirping from your welded diff you tAlked about in the other videos
yea, all htat chirping and tire tearing up is driving me crazy. I cant wait to get a good posi unit in there like I had in my last truck.
Thumbs up again money.. Do you need to adjust your transmission shift point? seems a bit long or is that normal with that transmission?
Thanks Filip! Thats pretty much normal for that trans. First gear is long. Way different from a 60e. If it were built for speed, a 3600-4000 stall would greatly help it.
AGearHead4Life ahh rite on. I am running a TH350 with my LS so wasnt sure
filip6607 Ah yea, That th350 will pull better then this 4l80e. I've just gotta have overdrive. Chose the 80e for its strength. Especially since i plan to tow with it.
AGearHead4Life
gotcha.. overdrive is nice, 3500 RPM freeway is a bit loud, but power on reserve so trade off..haha
But I am looking at going with T56 over winter break
Cool Vid
On doing your ls swap did use the factory trans 4l60e and if so did you use the safety neutral switch
+John Bowman I used a 4L80E. The neutral safety switch is in the column of this truck and isn't touched.
Hey Mark what's the part # to those headers I'm not sure which ones they are, are they the 88-98 obs body headers? I really don't want to cut frame for stock manifolds. I think you said you had to do some modifications for those headers to clear, what did you have to trim.
Yea, they are the 1302LS1 Schoenfeld headers. I've head good things about the Pacesetter headers fitting without adjustments. I had to modify these some to fit.
Ok got some Allen head bolts from the parts store and slapped them on I made a quick vid of showing how they fit. Still need a lot to do but today should be the first start with it in the truck :)
Sweet! I'll head over to your channel to check it out.
Did you use an external mic on the camera?
No Jacob. Just the gopro case that has the two open rectangles on the back.
So I decided to buy the 1302ls1 headers but only thing that has me thinking is the placement of the o2 bungs on the headers. Were you able to put the o2 sensors in with out them hitting the frame?
I was able to on the passenger side. I'm not sure if I was on the driver side because I cut the collector to route it under my 4l80e shift linkage. I know that I put C clamps onto the end of my collectors before install and coating and that was a bad idea. They got in the way of everything. I'd mount them first.
Loved the vid man! I'm with ya on that diff. It hast to go ASAP!!! lol Eaton Posi is a good choice I failed to make.
Thanks GMguyKDW! Yea, I agree on the diff. I hope i can get the funds for it quickly!
Same predicament brother.
Cool vid man gotta love the the second gear with those tires chirping everywhere lol anyways got my 5.3 fired up for the second time u should check it out when you have some spare time its going in a 82 c10
Thanks Greenmonoluche! Cool! I'll check it out man.
Honestly idk what it runs to nor do I have the diagrams but what do I do about the old original wires that went to the connector on the original 1982 alternator its a brown and a red wire. I'll do some more searching see I find anything.
The LS harness powers up the alternator. You probably don't need those two alt from the car unless one is for the volt gauge. disconnect them and see if the gauge still works.
Fluid level was overfilled and with engine running the level would stay the same. But hopefully i found out what the problem was I dropped the pan and the filter came out with the pan and I realized its a deep pan and the previous owners put a shallow pan filter so the filter fell out of its hole and wasn't sucking up any oil. I'll install a new deep pan filter and see how it goes.
thanks for the vids! im doing a ls swap on my 89 chevy. now I know what im in for! lol
Glad you're enjoying the show John. You're going to love the new motor. The next video that I'm trying to get up is of my buddy '94 Chevy truck with a 5.3 swap running the streets. You should enjoy that one since it's the same body as yours.
im going this weekend to pick up 2 5.3s I got them with harness and computers 4 800 bucks. should I find a transmission. or just get the adapter for my 350 turbo? my 350 turbo is pretty fresh with shift kit and 3500 con.
John King Good deal! Congrats! If you don't mind not having over drive then just stay with that good th350. Im spoiled though and always have to have overdrive. I expect long freeway trips like for Pour Tour this year. 4l80e is the way to go unless your'e leaving it at stock HP levels. Then you could get away with using a 60e.
Yep stay in harvest Al
Are you on Facebook? If so, shoot me a PM and we'll work out the details, You can find me on my blog page at "AGearHead4Life".
More vids ASAP 👌
Roger!
AGearHead4Life bout what you make to the wheels you think? 340?
Screach'n at 60! Right on!
Do you have the torque management turned off ?
+Glenn Hayes I'd guess that it is likely dissabled. If it was, it was done by the tuner. I don't see anything like that kicking in while lighting the tires now that I have the stall in.
Hell Yeah!
Cool truck bro, I'm working on a 81 short bed myself. You got a wealth of info that I'm definitely going to use... Btw you should get a toe nail polish that matches the truck ;-)
haha! My buddy brought up that I should use the can of touchup paint, that I have for the truck, on my toes. lol
Thanks man! I appreciate it. Good luck on that short bed!
Lmao I noticed that for some reason and wanted to see if someone else did. Ain’t gonna jack with a military man though lol. Loved the video, that thing is clean.
anyone notice his toes are painted?
Yep, quit a few did.
K man thanks.
What transmission do you got behind this??
A 4L80E with stock converter.
Life happens. But we haven't seen any videoes in like 5 months
To the junk yard to find a different drive shaft so close to getting it running but yet so far. Lol
Gear Ratio?
+Daniel Asbell It's in the description 80e trans and 3.42 gears, stock converter.
Good stuff man.. Whats good with the camaro??
Thanks Mike! The Camaro will be coming back on track not long here After LS Fest. LS Fest is ten days away. Cant wait!
How are you running your fuel system on the r10 I have a 86c10 that I'm about to do a swap on but I have dual tanks as well I know I was reading about the r10 having baffles in the gas tank but are running a inline pump or in tank pump and do you have any parts for sale for the swap such as cam or header
I just replaced the stock R10 pump with a walbro 255. I also bypassed the tank selector switch and just using the passenger tank right now. I plan to swap to a rear mounted tank, like a blazer tank.
I dont have any swap parts for sale at this time. If you look on my facebook blog page at "AGearHead4Life" in the photo album on this truck, you'll see everything that I did for the swap. Even the little cutting that I did to the sending unit to make my fuel pump fit.
Not sure if you care but I have an 80 and I plan on using an 87 tank with a 87 fuel sending unit with a walbro 255 in take pump.
Zomgdevil just make sure you take into consideration accessing the pump later on for maintence. I cant stand what it takes to reach min right now, so I look forward to mounting a tank in the rear. Will help transfer weight also.
My rear end is welded up lol barks em every turn
Nice Truck why not jus swap in 6.0
+Elizandro Martinez Thanks! For a few reasons. 1. Because a 6.0 costs twice as much as a 5.3. 2. Since everyone wants a 6.0, makes me not want one. 3. Because of #2, this makes a less common engine harder to find.4. Too many people want the biggest motor to show they're the biggest. As if a smaller motor is for a lesser person.5. I enjoyed the work put into an underestimated 5.3 motor that made it more powerful than the average more desired 6L motor.6. I like being the under dog. They assume 5.3 is smaller so it must be weak. They'd be wrong. This 5.3 has opened the eyes of many people. Not too long ago I whooped a TBSS with the aluminum 6.0 LS2. He couldn't believe it. I even had a decent size roll around tool back in the back of my truck along with some other stuff. lol Good times.Mainly because the 5.3 is common which makes it easy to find and cheap. That's what I like, strong and cheap. If I had a need for max effort power like in a competition series, I'd then possibly use a 6.0 because well all know with more cubes you can make more power. For this application, it wasn't needed.
+Elizandro Martinez Actually, I almost sold the 6.0 that I recently put into my '92 Camaro project because of these same reasons. I could have bought two 5.3s with the money. The reason that I didn't sell it, is because being able to have 6.0 in the title of its video will draw more views.
Ok so it fired right up on the first try I was really surprised and exited. Anyways it's pretty much ready for a drive all I need to do is clean up the wires and wire in the e fans. But the main thing holding me back is the shift linkage did u use a cable?
On my truck I just used the factory shift linkage that was on it.
So.... when you gonna spray it lol
I'm very tempted to Zomgdevil and may plumb that in just for kicks...
Dude that would be awesome! especially with a video.
What engine would be best for gas
+Jay831 Not sure what you mean by this question. You mean which LS engine or any gas engine? and do you mean best for gas mileage?
Far as an LS, a 5.3 with bolt ons.
I'm still not understanding you. I hear your question as, "What 5.3 engine with bolt-ons would be best for gas?".
Are you asking which 5.3 engine would be best on gas mileage? If so, I'd say they're all the same. The size of the motor and the mods done to it is what'll effect the mileage.
+AGearhead4Life I was replying to the other guys comment.
+AGearhead4Life I was informing him that a 5.3 with bolt ons only would be potent and emit sufficient fuel mileage in the right chassis that is.
What is that gauge setup you are running on phone. That is seperate info from the Holley Dominator EFI corrcet? What about the fuel/air ratio gauge? Thanks keep up the good work!
Thanks fastjp! That on my phone is an app called "Torque" for android devices. ITs a great tool. It connects to the OBDII adapter with a cheap $10 bluetooth adapter from ebay. It does too many things to list. It'll clear codes, GPS speed vs VSS speed, Tach, temp, Load, etc.
what kinda difference in hp do you think there be going with a carb intake thats the route im going.
carshowsvideos The carb intake is known to flow better than the turck intake. The amount of HP more would depend on the whole set up. You may see 10-15 more hp.
have any opinions on what cfm i should run and edelbrock or holley?
carshowsvideos Take my guestimate lightly since I'm not a carb guy, but I'd guess a 600-650 for a daily and a 750 to go for power. Keep researching on that one.
ok thanks for the in put i have a 79 camaro rs im doing this swap on and your vids made me decide just to do the ls swap now and not wait tell later after the car is rebuilt.
carshowsvideos Nice man! Yea, I tend to slap it in there and enjoy the vehicle as quickly as possible. lol I figure one day when I retire, I'll slow down and do a complete rebuild.
Ok so heres a little update headers got here on Friday really fast shipping then Saturday went out to the yards looking for a shorter drive shaft which I ended of getting one off a GMC jimmy that was a bit to short so today in the morning went out to slap the headers on and the fit perfect no clearance issues at all then I tried bolting them up and guess what the sent the wrong bolts the gave me header bolts for a old gen 1 SBC not LS gen so now I have buy some or something and I have to go back
Cool! Thats good news on the headers fitting well. I use replacement exhaust manifold bolts from a seller on ebay named "Potz". They work great. I also use the factory exhaust flange gaskets. They seem to never leak.
Nice truck thinking of building a swb chevy c10 with an LS motor but was wondering what transmission your running or recommend
Thanks screaminhemi1! I'm running a 4l80e in this truck. A trans to recommend would be dependent on budget and purpose. I chose the 80e because its a strong dependable trans. Especially since I will be towing and abusing it.
I know this video is older but did you have your vehicle tuned? for the Pistons and cam? are you still learning with hp tuners? I have it also still learning how to work with the program
Yessssir! I had a buddy tune it. I myself am still learning to tune. I didn't own HPTuners at the time.
Damn dude that O2 reading IS Mega LEAN!
it would mean a lot to me if you answered this and get a answer from a expert I watch all your videos
Hey Cassandra! I'm just now catching up on a crap load of comments and came just came across yours.
Let me find your posted question and I'll get a response to you.
Alrite hopefully all goes well on Monday when the headers get here. As of right now I'm wiring it up but I'm having trouble understanding on how to wire up the alternator. I used the the red junction box to power the starter and alternator but what do I do with the connector that plugs in alternator with two wires on it. Do I leave it alone?
Yea pretty much. I just leave that wire in the harness. Cant remember right now where it runs to, but that connector will etiher be given power by the PCM or the ignition switch once you turn the key on. What does the diagrams say that it runs to?
im planning on doing a 5.3/4l65e swap in a 67 c10 stepside, would it be hard to do?
That depends on the mind of the person doing it. Would it be hard for me? No. Very easy.
roasted
Would lowering tire pressure help on turns with a welded diff?
And also did you have a shift kit-corvette servo or was the trans stock?
Why are ur toenails painted
Why not? Expresses character, opens minds, makes you think, gives me something else to look at besides my pasty white legs. We red heads don't tan. Its not like its pink. Its gun metal grey. My toes have been painted for 18 years. I use to do it myself, I now have three daughters and a wife to do it for me. Its good practice for them too.
Mainly, I like people to think. Make them wonder why men aren't supposed to paint there nails. Why women weren't suposed to where pants back in the day. Why anything that we're "Suposed" to do and its wrong if we don't. To think outside the box is important in my eyes. This is how most of my projects that are posted on this youtube channel are created. Doing things that we're told we can't do. Questioning and attempting to be innovative
For example: This truck has used 165k mile piston rings and used pistons out of different motor. Peolpe will say you cant or shouldnt do that. From this video, they look like they're working fine to me(so far). Is it the best option? No, but it does verify that this option is possible. This option may apply in certian situations. You never know what situations others will be presented with.
Another one is the shaved intake video I did. Most people don't think of doing that. They usually suggest buying a $1000 intake. But i made one from trash that is unique and looks great. They're so ugly that most people don't even remember how well they flow.
Or even the Squirter Project. Most thought it wouldnt even run. Even though it did burn oil, it still ran very well and could be used to get someone to work.
I could go on, but I'll stop the babble here. I hope that I was able to help you understand my reasoning behind my painted toes. Doesnt mean that you have to agree with it, just understand.
This is probably a stupid question but i have to ask. What is a LSx? Is it a regular Silverado 5.3l? I want to do a budget 5.3 swap. What 5.3 should I look for? Are they all the same?
gearhead8989 This is actually a good question and lots of debates happen about it all the time. It's best to avoid those debates. lol LSX is an actual racing block, but LSx is using the lower case "x" as a variable to cover all LS generation motors. There are many different LS motors so sometimes the LSx term is used to describe some. A few different LS names are LM7, L33, LS1, LS2, LS3, LS4, LS6, LS7, LQ4, LQ9, etc. Pretty much all of the parts from each other are interchangeable. The 5.3 that I am using is actually an LM7. But if you had a LM7 with a LS6 cam and LS2 heads, LS6 intake and someone asked you what motor you had, you could say it was a LSx build to describe the mix of parts. But you might not want to use that term because then people will argue that you dont have a LSX racing block. The capital X is used to identify the racing block. Verbally its hard to tell the difference, but through text you can see what is meant.
Thank you SO much for summing that up for me… I can't tell you how helpful that is.. lol I have been so confused about this for a while now and every time ti try to search LSX to find out I get info on the racing motor. Again THANKS A MILLION!
gearhead8989 No problem man! Good luck on your research!
AGearHead4Life an wer do I get this LM7 u speak of cuz the one in ur truck sounds beautiful
Beowulf214 The junk yard man! lol early 2000s GM vehicles. Just ask for a 5.3 from around 2002.
what rpm are you spinning it to? it sounds good.
Thanks Albone! About 6200 rpm.
Would u wanna sell me the driver side tank and unit and I'll buy the other one when u do your swap I saw some online but I would like to buy used to save some cash
Sure Kelvin. Are you located near me in North Alabama?
NICE GOOD WORK
What kinda mileage are you getting and sweet truck
Thanks Wayne! I havent really gotten a chance to accurately measure it yet and my tune isn't done yet, but I do expect to see about 17 city and 20 freeway. Thats about what my last truck like this got.
Thats me being hopeful. So in the worst case, I'd expect 15 city and 17 freeway. Thats still not bad for a 430hp motor.
agearhead4life can you plz answer me this question 1. does a 6.0 really beat up on a 5.3 stock for stock and mod for mod me and my friends argue about this all the time . Question 2 what can you do to a 5.3 lm7 mod or Bolton wise to make it to the power lvl of a 6.0. And the last question which gears would you recommend for racing mainly dig runs
Stock for stock, there is no replacement for displacement. So yes, the 6.0 will have more power and more potential. They are the same motor. The 6.0 just has larger pistons in it. Is it worth waiting to find one and then paying twice as much for it, not to me it isn't. The 5.3 is my favorite. If you want to make enough power to whoop all the 6.0s around, throw a turbo on the 5.3 and kill.
As for mods for a 5.3, that'd be pretty much what I've done to the 5.3 in my blue truck.
Depending on how far you want to get into it depends on what I'd recommend to do.
243 heads and a cam like the 224r would be a good start and make the 5.3 more powerful than a stock 6.0.
cant wait for the dyno lol that redline doe lol and the locker noises make me cringe!
Dyno in a week! Cant wait! Holley LS Fest 2014!
how long did your ls1 swap take? thinking about doing the same in my 86 gmc
Man that's a hard question to answer. I usually spend a year saving, buying and collecting parts. Then I'll sawp it out in a weekend. Then speed at least two weeks working out the bugs.
thank you, i have been looking around and have come to find that it is most certainly hard to get an answer
Awesome truck. Needs nitrous though ;)
Thanks Django! Yea its itching for it and i've got a kit sitting here that I'm considering putting on one day. But this was a mild build truck to use as a daily driver. SO i'm trying not to take it to the next level. I'll save that for my turbo 6.0 1992 Camaro I'm building. Update video on that build will be coming soon.
Great video once again...that posi is definitely due now. Keep da vids comin!! I just posted a short walk-around video of my truck if u wanna check it out. No narration though...I don't like how my voice sounds on camera lol...here it is...1974 Chevy C10 5.3 lsx...quick walk around
Thanks ivorton. Yea, cant wait for a good posi unit. I'll check out your vid man.
Gearhead4life and still time to paint toe nails lmao
I have a couple of questions that you may be able to shed some light on, I recently purchased a Chevy Express 3500 15 pass. van 6.0 I am a " little" older than you the last time I had any LS engines they were LS 6/7 which to me means 450/460 hp Big block so I have been out of touch for a while and had a bunch of kids. But I would like to build a car with the aforementioned kids long story short I am curious about how to determine what trans. I assume it's a 4L80E but can you tell me how to identify? vin num.?or visually?and is this a good trans.for a car swap (67 Mustang w/ac and single turbo or nitrous) ? Next question is I see a lot of you cat's going with the 5.3 vs the 6.0 is there a performance or reliability reason or just availability? can the harness be used or is it easier to use aftermarket? I only paid 500.00 for the running driving van, but even though I bought it to rob parts it's kinda hard to do without some encouragement,it makes a great tool box! Thanks and keep up the good work!!!
You should be able to use everything check out gear heads other video on the wire harness it was helpful to me
If you have the vin # you can call your local Chevrolet dealer and they will tell you what it came with or just crawl underneath the 4L60e have a squared pan with 16 bolts where the 4l80e is squared on one side and rounded on the other with 17 bolts in the pan
4l60e Trans are good for mild or stock builds they can be built up to be stronger but the cheaper option is to go with the hd 4l80e
4 = 4 speeds
L = Longitudal position
60 = Factory torque rating ( usually 360 ft lbs )
E = Electronic
If you do plan to use a 4l60e you will need these parts if you plan to be ruff with them
24241244 4l65e 5 pinion planetary gears
373900 tci upgraded sunshell gear
A74100gk Red eagle clutch kit that don't cone or bow
Plus a shop to install them if you aren't comfortable taking them apart I did mines wasn't too hard but I did need special tools
+Jon Price I appreciate your reply lots of good info definitely plan on being rough with it so I am hoping that it's an 80,going outside after lunch to check the pan again thanks for the info...
+William Hill (Hill Billy MD) no problem I've done my own rebuilds and the 4l60e is nice because it takes less power to turn but even built up its hard for them to handle more than 500 hp which a cammed 5.3 would be close to that limit as it is. But planning ahead is the best way to make sure you're project will go as smoothly as possible.
Alright man I'll see what I can do with the linkage mine had a th350 factory so it might be a little different not sure. Check out my latest video its just a quickie of it running. Anyways just wanted to say thanks man you and your videos have been a great help towards my swap I appreciate all the pointers on what to do and how you did it. Thanks ;)
No problem man. Glad its all coming together for you. I'll check out the video. I saw the one of the close up on the headers. Glad they fit for you without modifying them.
On the shift linkage, I just used the set up for the 700r4 on mine and it worked perfect. The bracket that goes on the trans was the U-shaped one that centered on the shaft.
Is it for sale :) ?
Everything is for sale. But am I looking to get rid of the truck, no. It would have to sell for more then enough for me to build another.
Painted toenails huh
what mpgs you getting?
I don't have as acuarte of a number that I'd like to have yet, but it looks like 17 city and ~21 freeway right now. I'll have better numbers after June this year since I'll be on the Hot Rod Power Tour with lots of miles to drive.
thank you. that's not bad at all.
