On controller, it’s your right trigger - like you would for a main action button. On keyboard, I’m not sure what your keybind would be.

No reading that ship map and finding a island isn’t that easy. Is the grid just for play or does it at least give me a general direction of the island? I don’t have the kind of time to dedicate searching and searching for islands. Just tell me this may not be for me then and I’ll count it as another PS5 loss.

Well, the islands in the Sea of Thieves stay the same so the longer you play, the quicker you’ll be able to look on a map to see what island it is and recognise it straightaway.
If you’re struggling to do a basic map voyage, you’re going to find Pirate Legend, Tall Tale and special events very difficult too. It’s a core Sea of Thieves skill so putting in some hard work early in your time here will set you up for success later on.
As I mentioned in the video; the map you’re given will show the same island as the one on your map table, so if you match up the colours of the region and the shape of the island you’ll be fine. If ‘time’ is something you’re struggling with, then Sea of Thieves is probably not the game for you because it’s a pretty grindy game - and map quests are the least of your worries 😂
