@fashionblows4158 actually no, that doesn't mean you are the original humans. You clearly don't know how evolution works. You would be the original humans, only if you stayed the same, but in that case, you would be unevolved. Homo erectus were even more original humans, but we don't see them anywhere anymore.
When in Rome, do like romans do. NEVER GO CHAT the customs & declaretions guys. Doesn't matter if you are black, as italian i've learnt the hard way to just avoid them. This may be true concerning Italian airports but I am certain, as I have spent a lot of time in Italy as a Black woman, racism is deeply problematic in Italian culture. They were staring and glaring at me and my family the whole time we were being seated. Side-eying and looked so annoyed by us being there. I requested to be moved inside to get away from their bad vibes and to avoid any confrontation. We were the only blacks at the restaurant. And another time, when i was in line at the colosseum, this white mother and daughter was in front of me (they were from south usa can tell by the country accent) mother kept looking back at me, looked me up and down, from my shoes to head and shielding her daughter from me even tho i was far from them lmao. It can be challenging, but showing frustration and anger can worsen the situation. As an ex-airline agent, I understand the challenges and frustrations travellers may experience. @@starloszelson4541 Idk but keep in mind that Italy isn't america, nobody has to endure someone's childish behaviour or frustrations, here there are laws against offending officers too, so that's never a wise choice to just let ur emotions take the best of you
@@MachineSanto Look at the video again dude. Your statement is incorrect.
I did not experience racism in Rome as a colored person. Would I say Rome or Italy is free of racism based on my personal experience? Of course, not. But I always avoid travelling on a connecting flight that has a very short layover time. If you were travelling on an intrenational flight, you would need at least 90 minutes as the check--in counter typically closes 45 minutes before take-off. Allow at least 2 hours and avoid travelling on connected flights on two seperate bookings, especially if the second leg is with a low-cost carriers, they would not rebook passengers on the next flight for free like full-service airlines sometimes sometimes do.
Do you have a brain?
Bro i am living in Italy they are all the same i Lost Hope to find at least One good Person even Police are racist too
What city
You can still leave, nobody forces you, certainly not Italians.
tu sei il classico razzista, che giudica un intero popolo. poi se non ti piace un posto perchè non te ne vai.
Italian police is well known for being the most racist police in Europe against black people.
@@alfioalfiani4261so your response to outright ignorance and dehumanization is to tell the victim to just leave? Why have your country open for tourism if you’re going to be hateful towards certain tourist. Quite a thought process you have there Mr. Pea brain.😂
Sorry to hear of your experience.
Sorry for this Tyme. It’s true that we have many idiots in the airport that don’t speak English, and when they saw the cash they for sure thought something illegal was going on.
If you had internet, I wish you had called me on WhatsApp while they were searching your luggage, I have some contacts in the airport.
Anyway, hopefully this video will make some views and you’ll make the money back.
Thank you.
You have some contacts? Is what you're saying even legal?
The Italians in the comments proving you right....as they gaslight you smh
Infact if you leave or don't come we will all be happy. You and us- Bye.
Swear all you want my brother. I feel you.
Just remind you that the last thing you want to remind in Italian person is the defeat and war between the ETHIOPIANs and Italian wARe you don’t wanna talk about that.
Good to know…I’ll keep that in my back pocket 😅

I completely understand your frustration bro. But as far as blackman the traveler going to Somaliland. He should have done he's due dillegence of advice before entering. He came at a very terrible time where security is extra cautious. However I hope you and him will come some time and give me a shout for contacts. Peace ✌️
That's not racism, that's how Italy works, I got my share of it, I can relate.
I lived in Genoa for more than year. I traveled all over Italy. I never encountered racism but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Bro I feel you.
I visited Rome, Milan and Venice and no one discriminated against me. I am an Indian. You have to understand not all of them will behave uniformally. A lady outside Milan station even handed over her phone to type my hotel address.. If you behave politely they are one of the nicest people you meet ever..
Everyone has a different a experience.
Well, you're Indian not black and in Italy this makes a great difference.
@@brianlawson4368 Well, not sure about that but yes I have a lighter skin tone compared to many Indians as well.. May be you are right..
@@shivathealmighty Trust me man, in Italy being Indian and being black is not the same thing.
True, the blacks expect it.
Thanks for making this video, let's hope it helps stopping _your community_ from coming
I hope so. No one should be treated like that.
I hear you..was in Italy in the late 90s and we were badly treated at the airport in Rome they ripped our travel bag and it was a damn good bag too and they kept asking if we had money was detained for almost two hours with immigration officials who could barely speak English we were travelling from Kenya,East Africa while they were trying to ascertain where we were going to(was in the company of someone else at the time)..but despite that bad experience, they eventually let us through and was in Italy for a full 6 month's,even though Italy has a bad reputation for being racist to blacks which is true, the ones I met were super friendly one even stopped a train for us from Rome to Trento in the North where we stayed during the entire duration of the visit...I had a ball there and will state for the record that not all Italian people are bad, I actually met a lot of wonderful Italian people..but I certainly get the Racism...I still wouldn't mind visiting again someday.
They are in their country and don't have to speak English. It's up to you to be able to understand them. So next time consider visiting Africa and leave Europe.
@@renatomacchi2195Why do you refer to Italian as "they" when you are Italian? I know who you are, dear Renatino.

I grew up loving Italy and I wanted to visit next month. After the reviews here, I am done. I am never visiting there. I dinn know it was a sh*tty place like that.
very sad..can you press charge?
If they seem sketchy from the start, why direct them to not make you miss your flight bc you know they will deliberately and passive aggressively direct them on doing their job with the search? Just be quiet and comply, that's what foreigners don't get. Some people take extra talk and banter as aggression..duh
last year I visited rome for 5 days and also got discriminated and called the n word by them. never again
I doubt it. Italy has no concept of N-word.
Even if they used racial slurs you are using the experience of a single person being racist to equate it to an entire country 🤦🏼♂️
Other than that Rome is multi-ethnic, are you sure he was Italian ? What if he was of another nationality? Would that make Italy racist the same?

I would start with Rwanda. Nigeria maybe a bit hardcore for the Start😂 Rwanda is calmer and safer and in the Heart of Africa. From there on you can start to gain Africa Travel experience and later you are ready for Adventures like Nigeria.

I was thinking of coming to italy but this has changed my mind.
If you're a woke black american man, who thinks that "Minorities" are made of pure light beings, who should be treated DIFFERENTLY from other people, because "The history, the slavery, blah blah blah" PLEASE, DON'T COME. This guy was just checked out because of the baggage, and he made a fuss. OF COURSE he lost his fly.
Dear Black people, I want to apologize for ruining Italy for us. In 1982 I stayed at the Jolly Hotel downtown Rome, the hotel served me a beautiful continental breakfast and I pitched a fit in the dining room because it was a croissant, coffee and fruit, the staff was so nice to me and tolerant of my ignorant behavior, the staff took the time to graciously explain to me what continental breakfast is, it gets better while I was at the hotel it was the first time I ever saw a minibar, I drank the liquor, beer, soda,I ate the snacks. Upon checkout the hotel charged me for the minibar and I pitched a fit at the front desk, they kindly explained to me about the minibar, the people in Italy were nice to me in Rome,Livorno,Pisa,Florence and Naples. The Italians were nice to me I was the asshole, I’m older and wiser now.
Did you arrive 2 hours before the departure, most of the airlines will tell you to arrive 2 hours before your flight, because anyone can have issues at the security gate at the airport, it's normal procedure in most of the airports, Italian-French are a bit different from the rest of the Europeans, it's harder to deal with them, so it's better not to argue with them, just let them go ahead...
Welcome to Italy bro loooool
Of course I'm sorry for any bad time a tourist expetience here... But the comments are insane! Are you people really asking yourself why the hell someone decide to come visit our country??? Because it's beautiful, that is why.
