The arson of the church is a part of the early Black Metal scene in Norway, the same man who did so, did also murder a former bandmate and friend. You can always search it up, but it's not for the feint of heart.
If you are from netherland i whould not vissit Oslo. Its not that nice, i know its kind of pretty some places. But I feel safer in amsterdam central. 🤔 Also I whould like to say Bergen, Trondheim and Tromsø, is beutifull 😁 also Lofoten and risør if you dont need a big city😃I have been arround. and i am from norway. Also been in amsterdam 4 times. The trams and busses is much better there.
That freedom to roam law is widely not really understood in many other countries. I hear it time and time again that you can hike and camp as long as it's not on private property. That is wrong! You can hike and camp where ever you want, privat or not. As long as it is at least 150 meters from a house where people live, or on ground that is used for crops and stuff. Other than that, leave the place as it was when you got there. It's all ok. :)
I have lived in several of these cities. Oslo, Trondheim and Ålesund. But I was borne and raised in the central east parts. In the woods. :D And I have moved back. I'll never live in any city again. But Trobdhein and Ålesund are ok. :)
Metro is fixed scheduel in Norway :P Allways on time! Usually busses too, pending on traffic. And the "Strange Yatchs" are Ferry's. I do have some remarks on the video... First of, from Oslo, it ONLY shows the old part of town, not Oslo.. Main street and all that.. and those museums, including the Opera house are wide known as the ugliest buildings in the country, Munch Museum especially... fugly building, nobody wanted it, only the architect liked it... :P
That stave church was burnt to the ground by a "satanist". He was the lead vocal singer in a death metal band. Don't remember the bands name. I won't give his name here either. But he was also convicted for murder. Believe he lives in Frace now. :) Just a fun fact.
the really best thing is to Live in Norway and take it all in in small pieces because the hole country is a Must, there are many hidden gems here ❤
Nidaros cathedral building started in 1070 and Notre Dame in 1163
Trondheim is really a Must, essentially Baklandet. But also smaller towns like Røros is a Must.
Norway has the freedom to roam. You can pretty much hike and go into the water everywere.
Ålesund is my city. Its great
I’m from Trondheim, but I live in Røros, this tiny mountain village which is on the UNESCO world heritage list:)
Det er fint i Røros da, jeg bodde 7 år i Trondheim. :)

The Fantoft stavchurch was put on fire intentionally. I think the guy who did it put several churches on fire and was jailed
Oh yea, Varg Vigernes. A satanist, trying to tell people the church community was toxic
