This is huge!!! Recovery is definitely overlooked in this day and age and many people over train to compensate for poor diet and don’t look at all the variables to help them succeed in their training.

I agree, it’s definitely hard to use something you don’t have - but don’t use that as an excuse to not workout/train. Your TrainHeroic gives good alternatives!
On the point of not backing down from using a straight bar all the time, I'm willing to bet that the guys that didn't have screwed up joints, especially shoulders when they are done. Conjugate seems to be the only way to go for older lifters who want to stay in one piece or close to that if there is such a thing.
