As a SFF enthusiast (and the one who pays the electricity bill), I really liked the Power Consumption and Power Efficiency charts!
Buy a 7900xtx, unlock the wattage on the adrenaline app to 15+ and you’ll get even more performance, also we might get fsr4 since the 7900xtx has good ai cores
5080 is doing allot better job than the 7900 when comparing power

As someone that's both a fan of amd and nvidia. Wouldn't the 5080 still be unoptimized since it's just been released? I mean, upcoming drivers might help the card utilize DLSS/DLAA and its components more efficiently at the very least. It might be too soon to compare. But if this stays consistent, then im REALLY gonna look forward to seeing what amd releases next.
I almost bought a 5080 but went for a 7900XTX since my favorite game doesn't utilize DLSS or frame gen. Also because of the stock situation. Feels like dodging a missile.
Been happy for 2 year with it and I don't see me upgrading until AMD new cards beat it.

Ditto on all points. I was holding out for the 50 series, but my wife needed a new gaming PC so I built an all AMD system so she could have my old system with a 3090. I've had a couple of hiccups with drivers but nothing permanent or crazy. Not upgrading again until AM5 is at end of life and AMD releases another top end GPU. Nvidia and Intel's greedy shenanigans can kick rocks.

I had my 7900XTX since launch day and it still a beast. AMD still winning against 80 series variant and below. AMD is not even trying and they still have the best price to performance. I guess nvidia only wants the 90 variant to be for the rich.

Uff Ngreedias card seems rlly trash but the power usage of that AMD card is heavy. Also in my opinion if you can not run everything max at 120 FPS then all the cards are just trash especially for this crazy prices asked.

I have still a 4070 Ti Super and I dislike it so much... I've been team green for years now, but I'm just tired of all those "gimmicks".
Considering just to get a freaking AMD and use Loseless Scaling at this point.
FSR. 3.5 + in game frame gen or FMF2 driver base works great. 7800xt nitro + user. and also i9 4070 mobile. wich m also good with.

If they had released the 5080 as what it actually is, a 5070, and priced it at 700$, it would have taken off. Not even saying that's a great price historically, but it probably would sell like crazy
Why is this alleged 5080 running at around 300 watts or way less in every comparison video while 7900xtx is 75 to 100 watts more power draw more. The 5080 easily hits 360 watts. Just saw a few videos including hardware unboxed test a MSI 5080 coming close to 4090 fps in alot of comparisons...yes it was hitting over 400 watts at times but it can do it with the right setup
Just spitballing here but perhaps if it's not doing the DLSS upscaling and frame gen stuff then part of its dedicated hardware is sitting idle, perhaps that's why less power use.
The 7900XTX is also running on less than it could, just saying
7900 XTX does NOT run Cyberpunk with path tracing at 4k native with 60+ fps. This is a joke video
Thats true. AMD cards simply cannot run RT or PT over 60FPS, and thats sad since I love my AMD card and software. GLSS and FG are such a massive bonus you only get with NVIDIA. AMD equivalent techs simply suck imo.

If we can’t play over 120 average FPS + everything maxed to the top with a GPU of this price, then we have been fooled.
RT, PT, FG… I don’t know a single player who run those sh*t (even when they got a Nvidia GPU like me), everyone turn them OFF because no one want to loose so much for such minor improvements. They will be viable in 10 years (maybe).
Same thing for upscaling tech’s they are garbage tiers, you turn that sh*t ON only when your GPU is on his knees and that implies that the GPU is good for the trash can when you need it.
@@natedagreat19 His comment is true. 4k path tracing with no frame gen and dlss/fsr and these 2 gpu hitting 50-60 plus fps is not true. RTX 4090 same settings can only get 30+ fps at 4k
