- Look who I’ve got! Seriously, Yukari’s appends are so much fun to use
Anyways, I’ve wanted to write a song about the Dead Hand system for a while, the concept of it is just so metal. The instrumentals and some of the video's style here were (obviously) inspired by Hachi, so take it as a kind of homage! The Russian theming is just a coincidence, though, I swear!!:0
This PV’s turned out kinda sloppy
But !!!.hffff I really don’t have much time nowadays with all the exams going on and whatnot, so maybe I’ll reupload it later with a better vid or something!

Dead hand was basically a soviet failsafe system that used different methods of detecting if they got nuked. If they did, it would launch a counter attack.
I don't actually remember the third meaning though that was like 2 months ago.

Okay, theory time: So dead hand (also known as perimeter) is a Russian nuclear weapon's control system and backup communications system from the cold war, designed to decide how best to retaliate to an all out attack. It apparently was meant to prevent a false alarm retaliation, and could even decide how best to counterattack with no (or at least minimal) human input.
So, how does this play into the song? I think the singer is Perimeter. She talks about people being warned through a siren (remember, Perimeter is also a backup communication system) and hiding.
Perimeter then goes on to say "oh I cant take it anymore, the grave being all to lonely without your sickly body by my side" I think this is more of a metaphor suggesting that Perimeter has deemed the enemy threat significant enough to issue a counterattack, which is why she wants the enemy dead.
Perimeter then continues with "say is this how the world ends, with your distorted voice still ringing from every corner", again alluding to the sirens warning of nuclear attack.
Perimeter then says "What a shame you may call it senseless, but I am now devoid of what I would call hindrance of love" I think this part refers to the fact that Perimeter can make decisions without human input, and regardless of whether or not people think it's senseless, she is not held back by a love for people.
The main chorus then says "oh this is overwhelming, time for the iron curtain call" the iron curtain call is Perimeter getting ready to follow out her duty and issue a nuclear counterattack. "Iron curtain" was a term used in the old war, referring to a separation between the democratic and communist sides of the world. She then continues "panic seeping through the fractured border wall" suggesting that there is panic, and perhaps that people are breaking through the border. Perimeter then says "My livid heart powers this reactor core, Oh this is all wrong! But I don't mind at all" again Perimeter is the one controlling the nuclear "reactor core", and even if everything is "all wrong" she doesn't care, and is following out her protocol. "Turn up the volume, execute the protocol, you know it's M.A.D and it's all about to blow" Perimeter is giving a final warning before the attack. M.A.D (mutually assured destruction) refers to the concept of both sides attacking eachother with nuclear bombs, killing everyone. "What an unfortunate way to end this show, I'll shed a tear as you vanquish in the snow" the snow is probably referring to nuclear snow, so Perimeter is saying that she will mourn those who die in the nuclear explosion.
The PV then shows Perimeter throwing a bomb, and she sings about (successfully?)destroying the enemy. We then see a ruined perimeter, suggesting that the nuclear bomb hurt her too. She then sings about a white line on the horizon, which is the nuclear bomb being fired.
Well, thats my theory, feel free to debate and tell me you're thoughts!

I actually like how author separates the singer from humanity by saying "YOUR voice on every corner" since when attack strikes they usually have a system that announce it in native tongue for the area(russian Dead Hand is no exception to that rule), it is usually a recording of HUMAN speaking. So from the song we can clearly deduce that the singer is nor human, nor a living thing("greetings from underworld" part hints it).

I wasn't paying attention the first time I heard this song, so it sounded pretty normal - dark, maybe, but that's just Vocaloid for you - and then I actually listened, and it's the personification of the end of the world. The name was way less metaphorical that I assumed.

This is really late but I have a dumb theory, most of this is based off of the “greetings from the underworld” line, essentially they decided to take the girl when she was still human and built her into the system itself, integrating her body and mind into it somehow, maybe even used her image in some propaganda though of course no-one knew what actually happened to her, so now she is the core of this thing

Осталось только дойти до того, чтоб текст песенки был сгенерирован этой же (или другой) нейросетью. Что ж, это они уже умеют. И картинки тоже подготовлены какой-нибудь машиной. Да они и это могут! Получается, объединение нескольких машин уже способно с нуля сотворить новое произведение искусства! Это уже вплотную интеллект! Увы, до настоящего интеллекта не достаёт одной маленькой детали. Все эти машины, которые могли бы и сами написать песенку... не могу сами принять решение о том, что надо бы написать песенку.
Ну, думаю, уже через считанные годы мы познакомимся и с таким творчеством :)
P.S. Сделать весёлую песенку про систему автоматизированного ядерного апокалипсиса - отличная идея!
