- So after touring around Bangkok Thailand's Vegas Style Buffets, it's time for a change! Bangkok is known for it's amazing street food and I'm so glad I got a chance to experience it fully with my good friend, Red and Food Tour Guide Extraordinaire, Gimau on this night time adventure.
Here we not only try the traditional humble street food, but also understand the way of life and culture of the people in Thailand. And get this, we go to not only one, but two Chinatowns! The new Chinatown, and the Classic Chinatown that happens to be one of the world's largest.
From the simple pad thai and mango sticky rice, to the Michelin Rated noodle stalls, it was a great and fulling adventure until the wee hours in the morning. If you're visiting Bangkok on vacation and looking to travel to the great food destinations on this food tour,, I hope this will help guide and inspire you on your travels! I will be in Thailand for a month in April. Hopefully, I will have enough stomach room for all that delicious food. It will be my daughter first time. I am originally from Bangkok, but that was over 42 years ago. I know more about San Diego than Bangkok.😅😊

Not every food adventure is a buffet. A guided tour is a great way to see what a city has to offer. So much great food that both got to eat.

I love thai food it’s amazing 😍 papaya salad is so good Tim. I love that sticky rice is eaten a lot with so many of their meals. Thai soy is really flavourful, I have a Thai friend who used to be a chef in a restaurant and she cooks for me and my family occasionally. So delicious
With a pretty and energetic tour guide, you can go to many places. I wish we had her during our tour. 😍

My daughters went to Thailand when returning from Africa and the Peace Corps. They had a complete blast especially after living for 27 month in a famine afflicted country. I would love to check out the night markets. I held off when travel was restricted due to COVID. Love Thai food. We have a Thai Town in Los Angeles.

I much prefer the tuk tuk. And as the night went on it got harder and harder to get in
what a great tour I liked them all and would love to try them all but i really like the look of the dishes at the two dish menu noodle place and your last stop at the street vendor skewer stand those looked really good to top it all off

You guys are very lucky to have a tour guide who is knowledgeable about food and can give correct recommendations, but you can put vegetables and sticky rice in your mouth with food as you like to reduce the spiciness and increase the deliciousness 😂😭😆

I'm definitely going back for the clay pot rice and the stir fried crab and lobsters on the street.
at 5:34 i must pause again to post as i go along.. but having her stand above you and in your face and pointing into your food, my hubby would get up and leave. 😂… but as i watch the video, she is growing on me, she truly cares. 😊ok, back to the video now.

I'd love to sample Thai street food Tim, but I couldn't cope with all the noise, the humidity, sooo many people and being jammed at those tables on the narrow footpaths....I feel overwhelmed just thinking about it😨My daughter loved living in Thailand but the fumes from all the traffic really affected her asthma, so she didn't go to the markets as much as she'd have liked to. Thanks for sharing your experience with us though, much appreciated Tim.

Wow, Chinatown in Bangkok very similar the night Market in Taipei Taiwan, with a lot of “delicious/yummy” street food. Bon Appetite Tim Lee.

Nice to see you’re exploring street food vendors; not just Buffet. But, I can't wait till you explore the Thai buffets. It would be nice if you mention the prices you're paying for each plate.
It was a great experience. The tour itself was about $50 USD for everything. Beers food, transportation, all included. I wasn't sure how much the individual dishes were but they were certainly not expensive at all

This food tour is totally for a type A personality, who likes to socialize and eat. I would prefer to be taken to the local spots with a brief explanation of the dish is and just let me be to enjoy the food the rest of the time.
Gimau was certainly energetic, and we got to try so many places. She actually gave us a whole bunch of suggestions where we actually did get a chance to sit back and relax on our own days

Yes we use limes, but not because limes are more expensive. The tastes and smell are different and lemon won’t do the job right for Thai food.
