Baltic Aviation Academy You should do a situation with a cargo fire in both on the A320 and 737

If safety is always first as you say, and the plane is on fire and going down for a hard splat on the ground, is the pilot going to let me use my new Walmart parachute to jump to safety or are your pilots trained to keep the door shut at all costs so no souls are saved? This is not a hard question and deserves an answer. Safety for who, the company rules or the passengers life?

No. As the aircraft is going down the cabin crew will shout the evac command brace brace heads down stay down etc (it may be different for baltic). Let's say you got up, past the crew and your at the door. You'll either go flying from the speed of aircraft or you'll try and lift handle in direction of arrow but you won't be able to as thedoorcant be opened until landing plus you would inflate the escape slide and potentially kill everyone. You can only brace, listen to your crew and hope for the best
I hope that answers your question, I'm not Baltic but I'm TUI crew
