I love finding a random video in my suggestions and learning something new that will streamline my workflow going forward. I’ve seen some tutorials on how to achieve that 90s anime aesthetic in procreate that over complicated it. Those last three steps you did here made me save this one to my process playlists. I find simplicity is way more impressive than something hyper realistic (not that theses anything wrong with it) I just know it can be hard to simplify at times, but definitely a good thing to keep in mind and strive for. I feel like procreate has such a good design and work flow bruh- I use CSP and it can be kind of a hassle to navigate

Thank you! All brushes used are in my free procreate brushpack in description. Both lineart and sketch are the “sketch brush “in that pack. The coloring brushes are mentioned in the vid 👍 let me know if you have any questions

I use brushes I’ve collected over time from different sources along with some default brushes and I don’t tweak them too much other than adding more streamline maybe. I have a free Procreate brush pack in the description. Thank you! 🙏

So first off, great and informative video. I am always looking for stuff like this with ProCreate. Secondly, are your "selections" and then filling that selection all jagged on the edges? Does it effect your drawing/art? I Don't know if it's my OCD or something but I go nuts when I see how jagged the edges of those fills are. Maybe it's just me!
Thank you glad you enjoyed it! Yes the selection tool leaves jagged edges. For clarity I should show this briefly but after colorfill I go in and fix most of the edges by manually with brush tool. Otherwise it looks messy 👍
@@Boboscapsule Haha ok great. You don't have to show that but for someone with the weird OCD I have in trying to follow what people do. I do this myself and it's nice to know that someone else does it as well. Kind of a nice reassurance thing.

It’s just an old iPhone 11. I use a matte screen protector it does a pretty good job at avoiding too much glare and I can move my light freely and lower brightness if I’m getting some glare

Hey, me again! I was just wondering, what ipad would you suggest for drawing if the one linked in your videos is too expensive for someone? I'm nowhere near your level of course, but my current ipad keeps getting extremely laggy and crashing the app soon after, the moment i have over 8 layers in one drawing. I'd like a big screen but if those are too expensive i dont mind settling for a smaller one. I've had people tell me that I should get one with an M chip and at least 128gb of storage, but 128 ones are awfully expensive. Do you think it'd still work ok if I got one with 64gb? As for the pen, yours looks a lot different than the ones i usually see and use. Is it better or is it just a personal choice?
Yea I had the crashing issues with an old iPad too. Yea id avoid 64gb go with at least 128gb. I think the best thing to do is stick to iPad Pro series you won’t have any crashing or lag. Id pick up a refurbished one on Amazon. It’s called (renewed) they get inspected by Amazon to be in working order. If you want to stick to 12.9 inch you can look the first iPad Pro model it has a wider bezel with a home button and this uses the 1st gen Apple Pencil which doesn’t charge magneticly to the top of the iPad (downside)That one renewed goes for about 330 usd on Amazon not including the pencil. Or you can go with my model with is a 3rd gen iPad Pro 12.9 renewed goes for 400 usd not including pencil. I have a regular second gen Apple Pencil with a sleeve on it, plus a third party nib. Type in iPad Pro 12.9inch renewed on Amazon and look at the options 👍
@Boboscapsule i did look for those ipads actually! But unfortunately the better prices one cant be shipped to my country for one reason or the other. Never actually used amazon before either so it's really confusing looking for one without having any prior knowledge of the brand either haha. I'll be sure to look for one with those features though, thank you
Oh bummer! Maybe look into iPad Pro 11 inch it’s slightly smaller. Yea unfortunately they’re very pricey. You might have more luck looking elsewhere not Amazon. Good luck!

What brushes and settings do you use for procreate? I want to get better at the software

Well I’m honestly new to procreate and im trying to look for settings that will be optimal for sketching out environments
If your completely new I wouldnt worry about settings too much, the default settings will do. Just learn to change the canvas size and shape, to match the environment your drawing and up the resolution to 300 dpi.

Well it is look like my suggestion was one of the best 😂😊. Love the videos I have a lot arts to paint 🎨 😅😂 my problem is the painting process. Bring more videos because I think I’m not the only one who wanted it 😊. If it is possible use voice instead of texts please. I have ninjas and samurai to paint 😂 I need a 3d looks and lighting, I thought you can make shadows in any direction that you want right"? There is the sun rule but I can do in any direction?
Yes great suggestion! Yes more to come. I might switch to voice over down the line we’ll see. I only add my shadows according to the light source, I just chose different light sources in each one. So it can either be the sun or another light source in these. Just having fun with it, since I have no background I was trying out things. But yes you have to have it make sense with either the environment or where the sun is located at any given time . I might make a vid on light and shadow in the future too👍
@@Boboscapsuleso let in the beginning you made a copy of the original designer than you paint with different layers and alfa lock right"? I do partes by part 😂 plus reference and I end with 26 layers 😂🥲
@jJJ1841ksk i fill in the character with a single color then I’ll make clippings mask layers separately above it. And I alphalock them at a certain point if necessary. Definitely look up clipping masks if you don’t use them it’s extremely useful. Lol yea that’s relatable I start organized then end up a ton of layers, but 26 layers is not too bad😂. Maybe I can touch on clipping masks a bit more in a future vid.

Nope it’s metal tip nib from Amazon. Smaller tip, feels more like a pen.

@Hiiim_Steevo they last a bit longer. I wouldn’t recommend using them with out a screen protector. They also wear down your screen protector a bit faster.

I use a few interchangeably but I think I just used the medium airbrush. Just a brush that I can make pretty large to cover big areas.
