    Thank you so much for the explanation Im in BIO MED school and im currently reading about the physics of ultrasound. However, Im not familiar with most of the terms and formulas so this helps a lot!!!

    i plugged the #'s in in your divergence formula but i didn't get the 5 that you got for an answer. i even used pemdas to see if i get that answer. i'm not good with math but i'm good at flipping things til i find out how you got your answer, but this i cant get it. 5x 4 is 20 then divide it by 1.85... i didn't get 5. so i said let me just see 1.85 dived by 20, i still didn't get 5.

      Once you calculate 1.85 / D * f, that is the sin of the divergence angle....If you match the number up with sin chart, then you can figure out the angle.
